The humans woke up, groggily, looking around with confusion.
Looking around, they saw they were in a white space with two god-like beings looking at them. One of the gods was a young man wearing grand robes, with fingers glittering with rings. The eyes of fire, that seemed to burn their souls.
Next to the seated God, the other stood like a servant. His eyes were that of clocks, looking at them indifferently, making them feel the passage of time.
They were shocked and scared, had they angered the gods? Why else would they be here? Why would the gods even show themselves before slaves? Wouldn't that lower their status?
"Good, let's begin." To add to his image, Ainz uses silent magic to activate the spell and fly to his feet.
'The unconscious acts one performs are what cause the most dramatic effects- Blood Emperor.'
The slaves shivered as they lowered their heads to the ground, not daring to meet the gaze of a god.
"You may raise your head." Ainz gently spoke as he walked to them. "I brought you all here to serve me, Ainz Ooal Gown."
Hearing the words of this God, while scared, they gingerly look up with a sense of disbelief? A god saw value in them? Seeing the warm smile on his face, made them feel safe, little did they know the evil hidden behind.
Seeing their expression, Ainz knew he already had the effect he wanted, so he asked, "What do you mortals know of me? Tell me."
The slaves looked around, not knowing what to say. How were they supposed to know who he is?
"Who are you, my Lord? If you mean the gods, we know what we have been told, we don't dare to believe in anything else." Graveling with her head touching the floor, the woman spoke, "Please forgive me for not being able to answer, my Lord."
Looking at this old woman, Ainz didn't feel pity, maybe it's because what he was about to do was good?
Of this entire group, only this woman spoke out, meaning she had the strongest will. In his eyes, she was the most valuable one. He is eager to see what she will do from now on.
"Hmm, what's your name?" Ainz stopped himself since it was pointless to ask, "Let me introduce myself again, I'm the Supreme One, Ainz Ooal Gown, the beginning and the end of all is and will be. Your world was one of my creations, however, upon creating this world, I succumbed to weakness and fell into a deep slumber, which made me unable to create the gods that should help me govern the world. However, I recently awakened and I decided to resume my efforts." Ainz boldly fabricated an origin story, since he had no fear of anyone challenging him.
"That's impossible. The gods created this world!" The old woman spoke, angry at Ainz words but doubting hers.
It was like her worldview didn't want it to be true.
The other slaves didn't care how the world was created, the world was there before them either way.
Ainz flashes a smile, opening his hand in a challenging manner, "Then let me ask, have you ever seen your so-called gods? Have the gods ever responded to your prayers? The gods you know of are not real."
As if grabbing at straws, the old woman responded, "How do you explain all the disasters that appeared, and only subsided after making a sacrifice to the gods?"
"Hmm, it seems you are adamant about not believing me. How about this, I destroy the world and see if your gods appear to save it?" Ainz eyes blaze, but the space becomes cold and chilly.
Shock and fear appeared on the faces of everyone except Chrono.
Just like that, the world is about to end? Just to prove the falsehood of the gods?
Realizing what she was doing, the old woman bowed and cried in fear, "No, my Lord forgive me, this is what I was raised to believe in!"
"Oh?" Ainz titled his head 'confusingly', "I don't know why you changed your mind, but thankful you did. Recreating a world is a hard task."
'I think I might have overdid it but it's better safe than sorry. Though they are an experiment, caution must be used.'
Clearing his throat, Ainz walked back to his seat and sat down, filling his cup of tea and drinking it.
'Man I miss this. This burning sensation, this bitter and salty taste. It's been so long.'
"Now then, let me tell you why I brought you here." Placing his cup down with effort, Ainz continued, "I plan to make you all gods, who will aid me in governing this world like I said earlier. You can do as you wish, with one condition, you must sacrifice gold to me." Ainz didn't see a need to lie to people who couldn't harm him. Nothing in this period is above high-grade items, and that's him trying to be nice.
Of course, seeing as regular humans can create weapons that rivaled 10 tier spells in his old life, he still thought he should be cautious.
'Making them gods? What is he saying? Could becoming gods be this easy?'
"Lord, we live to serve." The slaves didn't hesitate and showed their loyalty.
Nodding Ainz, spoke, "Good. Now let me be clear about what kind of gods you all will be. You will become the primordial gods of Greece and Rome. Other than some minor changes I will make, the rest is up to you. I will start from the beginning. Who will become Gaia, the personification of the Earth?" Ainz couldn't wait to start, this was another experiment on his part. He was planning to change a human body with the vast amount of gold in his inventory to a hybrid between Celestial and Giant.
This is something never done before.
Throughout Yggdrasil, the Celestial Race was something rare, let alone becoming one. They were divine beings akin to gods with their divine powers but otherwise in power in Yggdrasil they resisted on the same level as angels.
Celestials were truly similar to angels as they had a pure blue light around their bodies, which screamed divinity. Without the divinity, they would look like humans.
What's amazing about Celestials is that, while others need to select a God to play the role of a priest, they don't. One could say they were their own gods.
It was even rarer for a hybrid between a Celestial and Giants to exist. They exist in two different factions, one divine, the other chaotic neutral if not evil.
Ainz knew If his theory was right, he could create 'divine' titans by fusing the divinity of Celestials with the Giant's massive size.
The slaves look at each other, seeing who is eager to become Gaia.
Gaia is the mother of the second generation of divinity and the grandmother of the main characters in myths.
Her position was highly venerated and was not to be offended. Sadly, most of them were male and didn't plan to become something else
There were only two females amongst them, so they had the first pick.
Thinking for a minute, the old woman spoke after seeing the young girl remain silent, "My Lord, I'm willing to become Gaia."
"I thought as much. I will give you some abilities to fulfill your role as Mother Earth. You will be given immortality which will stop you from aging. Also, since I don't like incest, one of them will take Uranus's place."
'Immortality? What the heck? How many people are looking for it? Yet she got it, just like that?'
"Now, who will be Uranus?"
The room became silent as none of them jumped out. None of the guys wanted to be castrated by their son.
Ainz's lips twitched, but he couldn't blame them. Even the Overlord fears such things, let alone a living person.
Though that fear was unwarranted since he doesn't care if they change the myths, just as long as they sacrifice gold to him.
Frowning at no one raising their hands, he said, "Anyone who chooses this will receive a wish."
"I'm willing!" One of the younger men said, with happiness in his eyes. Although reluctant, gaining a wish in order to become a god was not bad. At the very least, if something happened that he didn't like, he could use his wish to fix it.
"You will gain immortality, along with some spells. You can tell me your wish when you are ready." Turning his head, he looked at the last woman, "I guess you will become Nyx?"
"Yes, my Lord."
After assigning everyone with roles, Ainz stood up with excitement, before standing before Gaia. "It's time to begin."
Raising his hand towards Gaia, millions of gold coins appeared, but since he uses silent magic cast to create an illusion. In their eyes, a golden light appeared and surrounded Gaia.
Chrono knew this was his que, so he stopped time. Ainz took out a Mercenary Scroll, focusing on Gaia as the gold melts as it enters the scroll.
"Haha, just as I thought, as long as I add enough gold, I can transform a person into another creature. This is a Race Change Scroll without a long period of adapting and leveling up. By sacrificing gold, one could give NPC's many skills and spells but sadly the limit of a Mercenary is level 70. But for this world that's already godly."
Ainz chooses the Celestial and Giant race before giving Gaia the class Druid, with Earth Magic.
What he gave her fit her role perfectly; before giving her Weather Control spell; something Mother Nature should have.
Using , he added information about her abilities, and how to play the part of a Primordial Deity. He didn't want to change her memories, as he was eager to see how well she will do in her new role.
Time began to flow once more, and the golden light began to disappear, showing a 10-meter tall Giantess.
She seems like a woman in her thirties with long green hair and blue eyes. She wore a green dress, with embroidery of flowers. Her face was warm and motherly, fitting the image Ainz had of Gaia.
Gaia looks around and notices everyone looking at her with shock and awe. She didn't notice at first, but she soon noticed that everyone looked as small as a baby.
She brought her hand to her face, seeing a pair of young elastic skin, full of youth. If what Ainz had said is true, she was immortal.
Gone were her old wounds that ache when she moved; replaced with a sense of power flowing through her veins, capable of shattering the skies.
Ainz did the same to the other five, causing six Giants to stand before him. They looked slightly different with the kind of power they excluded. Their power was divine but their abilities changed it to something else.
"Now, I will send you on your way; don't disappoint me. I will be watching." Ainz waved his hand, and space trembled and Gates appeared beneath them, dropping them back to Earth.
"Father, we won't." Gaia said, followed by the others.
Ainz signed as he expected. Since he basically created new NPCs with the method he uses, they would call that. The only difference was that their personalities didn't change, meaning they are still the same.
'Don't fail me...show me that I didn't waste six million gold coins on you.'
Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
