Capítulo 9: Cole Sinai
"Shit man" I murmured. "Who is this Apollo guy? What is going on? How did the experiment fail? Where are Mom and Dad?" Questions I didn't have the answer to. Questions no one had the answer to.
The whole building was destroyed. Everything wrecked. I charged at the wolf with a girl called Shannel. Like who names their child "Shannel". It's like they got the spelling wrong and just went along with it.
"Dodge gravity boy!" Two said as he slid under Riot's tail.
Riot's paw came flying at me. I shielded my face with my arms expecting myself to be flung across the room. I imagined my bones shatter as they came in contact with the wall.
Nothing happened. I left my eyes closed still expecting the painful hit of Riot's paw but nothing happened
"You can open your eyes now," one of the two clones said. They looked so alike I couldn't tell the difference.
"You saved us the extra work. You beat your wolf. That was way easier than I thought," Shannel said.
I guess I am the hero, I thought. A grin found its way across my face.
"Uhm…Shannel, so you know…now that we are done with this how about we go grab something to eat," I said trying my best to look manly and feel as heroic as possible.
"Save it for another girl gravity" Shannel smirked.
The clones, Two and Three burst into laughter. The moment seemed to last forever. But everything that has a beginning has an ending. Terror struck again.
"COLE NO!" Threeshouted pushing me out of the way. His guts spilt everywhere. Riot's right paw fixed where his stomach once was. He screamed as he died.
I tried to run. "Move" I commanded those legs of mine but nothing happened. "I don't want to die. Not yet!"
I screamed at no one in particular. I cried for help but help but my lips didn't move.
"Shannel take him somewhere safe!" Two screamed.
How is he so calm? I asked myself. He was terrified that I could see yet he didn't run.
"When faced with fear sunny, stop everything and think of a way out."My father always said.
It clicked. I control gravity, if only I could concentrate it around my fist. I charged at my wolf as fear struck as ever. It tried to snatch me with its jaws but I jumped early enough to avoid being wolf feed.
"Here goes nothing" I concentrated the gravity around my fist. I jumped off the ceiling charging at the wolf like a meteorite. I struck the wolf.
"Shannel now!" I screamed as I closed my eyes.
I hear nothing but the painful ringing in my ear and a loud roar as my fist comes in contact with Riot's forehead.
"Cole, does this thing have a rocket booster?" The Apollo guy yelled from the room below.
"Yeah" I yelled back
I fell to the floor.
"Let's search for more survivors" Two suggested. "I'll carry him."
I fell asleep.
