Capítulo 146: Chapter 146 A Horned Dire Wolf

As they arrived in the next town Lily stared at Thomas and asked "What town is this?" Thomas shrugged and said "I can't use my magic to summon the map right now so your guess is as good as mine." Lily stared at the melted sword in Thomas's hand and asked "Why did you keep that thing, it's useless in its current condition." Thomas held it up and said "Sentimental value." Poppy stared at the sword and said "Sentimental value you won't get you very far, I'd say you get rid of it and buy a new one." Thomas shrugged and said "I understand what your saying but I'm still gonna keep this with me." As Thomas entered the city a lamia approached him and said "Its pretty rare to see Demi humans out here." Thomas stared at him confused and said "Is that so?" Ocis walked in front of Thomas and said "He's not really your typical demi human." The man stared at Ocis and said "It's even more rare to see a harpy nowhere near a sky island." The lamia man slithered towards Ocis and said "A harpy and a demi human traveling together, I don't even think that's been done before." The lamia man slithered towards Thomas and said "By the looks of it, your a slave." Thomas stared at him for a few moments and said "Yeah that's right." The lamia turned to Ocis and asked "Are you the owner of this slave?" Thomas froze for a moment and said "You don't have to keep calling me that." The man stared at Thomas and said "A slave should only speak when spoken to." Ocis walked around the lamia man and stood beside Thomas as she said "I'm not the one who owns him." The lamia glanced at the others and said "Then which one of you own him?" Lily stepped forward and said "He belongs to me." Thomas stared at Lily and mumbled "She's actually going through with this." The lamia man turned back to Thomas and said "Would you like to sell him to me?" Ocis stood in front of Thomas and said "He's not for sale." The lamia man glanced at Ocis and said "I'm talking to the owner of this fine slave, not you." Lily glanced at Thomas and said "Sorry but he's not for sale." Lily walked towards Thomas and said "I wouldn't be allowed to sell him even if I wanted to, my dad would get super mad at me." Thomas stared at her and said "You'd seriously sell me?" Lily stared at him and said "I might if you don't start listening to me." Ocis grabbed onto Thomas's arm and said "You'd sell him?" Ocis smiled and said "I'd buy him then!" Daisy stepped forward and said "If your selling him I'd like to purchase him as well." The lamia man stared at them all confused and asked "What's going on?" Moments later the others joined in and said "I'd also like to purchase him." Thomas walked towards the lamia and sat down beside him as he sighed and said "This could be a while." Lily shouted "I never agreed to selling him!" Lily pointed at Thomas and said "You belong to me and me alone!" Thomas sighed and said "I don't really get a say in this do I." Lily walked towards him and said "No you don't." The lamia man stared at Lily and said "I understand that you won't sell him to me, but perhaps you'd like to have a slave vs slave match?" Thomas yawned and said "That sounds boring, besides I'm tired." The lamia glanced at Thomas and said "Hush I'm talking to your master." Lily stared at the lamia and said "Alright we accept your challenge." Thomas stared at Lily annoyed as he said "Maybe You've forgotten but I've over used my mana recently." Lily stared at him and said "That never stopped you before!" Thomas yawned and said "What about my injuries?" Daisy walked towards Thomas and said "He does have a point." The lamia pulled a bell out of his shirt and shook it as he said "You've already accepted the match so I'll call his opponent." The lamia man glared at Thomas and asked "Shall we place bets on who's slave will win?" Lily pointed at Thomas and said "You better not lose!" Thomas laid back and said "I'd rather not." Poppy ran over to Thomas's face and whispered "If you don't do as she says she's going to shock you." Thomas smirked and said "Not my problem." As a large wolf like beast with a horn approached Thomas the lamia said "This shall be your opponent." Thomas glanced at it and asked "What the hell is it?" The man smiled and said "It's a special dire wolf that I found, enslaved, and trained." Lily stared at it for a few moments and turned to the man and nervously asked "What are the rules?" The lamia man smiled and said "This fight will be to the death, and the winner shall be allowed whatever he or she asks." Lily turned towards the others and said "I think I've messed up." Lily stared at them and said "The dire wolf has a horn." Scarlett stared at it and said "A fast beast that can use magic." Daisy stared at the dire wolf and said "How do you know it can use magic." Scarlett pointed to the horn and said "It horn works as a mana intake." The lamia laughed and said "Shall we begin?" Thomas stood up and cracked his neck as he said "Yeah sure whatever lets just get this over with." Lily glanced at Thomas and said "You shouldn't fight it!" Thomas shrugged and said "Your the one who said I should." Lily walked towards him and whispered "That beast can use magic, your injured, can't use magic, and don't have a weapon." The lamia man stared at Lily and said "It seems your slave is fine with these terms so why don't we begin?" Lily nervously backed away and said "You better not die." The lamia laughed and said "Then we shall begin." As the dire wolf pounced at Thomas it opened up its jaw wide enough to fit Thomas's whole head. As the wolf bit the air Thomas grabbed its horn and tore it off. The dire wolf fell to the ground and began to whimper as its head began to bleed. Thomas began to observe the horn as he said "My nose was right this thing can absorb mana." The lamia man slithered back and said "What did you do to my dire wolf?" Thomas continued to look at the horn as he said "Nothing much, I'm just checking out it's horn." The dire wolf stood up behind Thomas and growled as it barked a lightning bolt flew from its mouth. Thomas used the horn to block the lightning as he said "This horn basically a bone, it shouldn't conduct electricity." Thomas stood up and twirled the horn in his hand as he said "This will be over pretty quickly." The dire wolf began to slowly back away as Thomas walked closer and closer to it. Thomas raised the horn above his head and slammed the sharp end of it down through the wolf's skull." As the wolf's skull was penetrated by the horn it fell over and died almost immediately. Thomas pulled the horn out of its skull and said "This horn might actually be useful." Thomas stared at the man and said "I'm keeping the horn." Lily glared at the lamia and said "Why didn't you tell us that your slave was a magical dire wolf." The lamia began to back away as he said "I think I should be going." As the lamia turned around Thomas stood there with the horn and said "That wasn't part of our little arrangement." The man stared at Thomas nervously and said "Ah right, what would you like?" Lily smiled and said "Give us a gold coin." The lamia man reached into his pocket and said "Yes of course." Lily grabbed the gold coin and said "Looks like he covered our expenses for a while." Thomas sat back down and said "Well at least it wasn't a complete waste of time." Scarlett stared at the dire wolf's corpse and said "It's most impressive that you defeated a magical dire wolf with such ease." Thomas held up the horn and said "I was only able to kill it quickly because it horn was sharp." Ocis sat down beside Thomas and asked "What would've happened if that lightning had struck you?" Thomas stared at the horn and said "That lightning was at least ten times stronger then what I'm used to." Thomas laid back and said "I guess it doesn't matter now." Poppy climbed on top of Thomas and said "If you didn't kill that thing quick it's magic could've been a serious problem." Thomas began to fall asleep as he said "Yeah it would've been an issue." Scarlett picked Thomas up and said "We should find an inn and drop him off before we do anything else." They all nodded in agreement as Poppy said "He wouldn't be this exhausted if he just quit using this spell to keep me in this physical form."
