Capítulo 9: Pirate Hunter
The three friends were walking together, trying to figure out where the marine base would be. Koby was doing his best from trying to prevent his new friend from trying to recruit the demon known as Roronoa Zoro, but that just spurred Luffy on more.
'If he's really that scary, he'll be perfect for my crew!!' Luffy said to Koby after he wouldn't shut up. This left Koby to follow in resigned silence while Nami, not for the first time, tried to figure out how Luffy's brain worked. She had a feeling she would never get an answer.
They found out all the townspeople would avoid them like the plague after they mentioned the names 'Roronoa Zoro' or 'Captain Morgan' while eating lunch in a local bar they found that was owned by a nice lady named Ririka. This confused Koby while making Luffy and Nami understand what's going on in this island.
"I don't understand, why are the townspeople afraid of Morgan's name? I can understand Zoro because of being an evil bounty hunter, but Morgan is a Marine!!" Koby asked, confused about what was happening in this town. Nami looked at him with gentle understanding while Luffy just looked at him like he said the sky was red.
"It's cause he's probably a shitty Marine, Koby," Luffy said without a care in the world, earning him a smack on the back of the head from Nami.
"Anyway, there's someone strong tied up outside the Marine base. I'm gonna go look at him." Luffy said when he saw they reached their destination. The next thing Koby and Nami saw was Luffy peeking over a wall.
"There's no way they would have someone like him outside. He would be kept in a prison cell…" Koby muttered to himself before he struggled up the wall to see a tied-up, starved, and dirty man with a black bandana tied on his head. The man glared over at them as soon as Luffy's head peaked over the wall, making Koby fall back down.
"Yo, you two!! If you come untie me, I'll catch a bounty carrier and give you the money!!" The man known as Roronoa Zoro shouted at them. Luffy tilted his head in confusion before looking to his right, realizing Nami was nowhere to be found. He shrugged his shoulders and looked back.
As he went to respond to what Zoro said, he heard a noise next to him and Koby, who had climbed back up the wall by now.
*CLANG*
They looked over to see a little girl they remembered from the bar they were just at, leaning a ladder up against the wall with something wrapped up and a rope with knots on it in her hands.
She climbed up the ladder before tying the rope to the top of the wall, hushed them with a finger to her lips, and scaled-down it. Zoro looked at her with a glare, but that didn't seem to bother the girl in the slightest.
"Hi!! I brought you some Onigiri!! I thought you might be hungry." The girl said to Zoro, who growled in response.
"Get lost, you brat!! I already told you to leave me alone!!" Zoro shouted at the girl, making Nami and Koby frown. They looked at Luffy to see if he would do anything but saw him looking at the iron gate to the execution ground.
A couple of seconds later, a sleazy-looking man with blonde hair in a mushroom-like style came strutting in with two Marines as bodyguards. Zoro scoffed at the man.
"So the bastard's son shows his face, huh?" Zoro sneered at the man, secretly worried about Rika being here. Luffy sensed this and narrowed his eyes at the man too.
"Onigiri? Don't mind if I do." The man walked right up and took the onigiri out of Rika's despite her protests, quickly spitting it out on the ground. He threw the rest on the ground and stomped on it.
"Why the hell is it so sweet?!" He shouted at the girl who was beginning to tear up.
"I thought it would taste better sweet." The girl said while wiping the tears out of her eyes. The man scoffed at her.
"Do you know who I am? I'm Helmeppo, the son of the great Captain Morgan! You should be grateful I even touched your disgusting food." The now-introduced Helmeppo said before he turned to one of his bodyguards.
"You, throw her over that wall," Helmeppo said as he pointed at the wall Koby and Luffy were still peaking over. This made the bodyguards look at him incredulously and Rika's tears start falling anew.
"B-but sir-"
"But, Nothing!!! Do I have to call daddy on you?" The Marine tried to plea for the girl's safety, but it only resulted in making the power-abusing son more adamant.
"Roll yourself into a ball…" The Marine whispered to the crying girl, before making eye contact with Luffy. He saw him nod at him before he nodded back and threw the girl right above the straw-hat-wearing teen. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw him jump up and catch the kid.
Koby watched the whole interaction with a look of horror on his face. Just how much has this town been oppressed for soldiers to do something like that?
Before he could ponder on it anymore, he heard Luffy next to him. He looked up and saw him placing Rika down on her feet after she used his shirt to wipe her tears. He only smiled at her encouragingly before looking at Koby
"Koby, can you take this girl back to that bar we went to? I'm pretty sure the owner is her mom." Luffy asked him to which he nodded, he wanted to make sure this girl would be safe.
Luffy watched them walk away and turned back towards the wall when he couldn't see them anymore. He jumped over the wall when he sensed that idiot son had left, Zoro immediately meeting his gaze.
"You again, go away before that bastard son comes back." The tied-up swordsman said to him which Luffy laughed at.
"Shishishi!! What's he gonna do, call for daddy again?" Luffy laughed, making Zoro smirk at him. Once he stopped laughing, Luffy looked back at Zoro with a fire in his eyes that the swordsman recognized from somewhere.
"I'm looking for a pirate crew and you seem perfect to be my Vice-Captain," Luffy said with a massive smile making Zoro scoff.
"I won't stoop down to the level of being a criminal. I have my dreams that I must accomplish no matter what!" Zoro ended with a smirk that Luffy matched.
"You're already known as a big, bad bounty hunter. What's so bad about being a pirate?" Luffy asked with a smile, making Zoro scoff and start to ignore him. Luffy laughed at this and started walking away, but stopped when he heard Zoro say something.
"Wait!!" Making Luffy turn around. Zoro nodded his head at the stomped-on onigiri.
"Feed me that onigiri." He said, making Luffy's face turn green.
"You sure? It's covered in mud." Luffy said, sticking out his tongue as he picked up the muddy rice.
"Yes, I'm sure!! Just hurry up and give it to me!!" Zoro shouted out and opened his mouth. Luffy smiled at him.
"Here comes the choo-choo train…" He muttered as he fed Zoro, who's face was burning in embarrassment after he heard what he said. He choked down the onigiri and coughed for a minute. He looked back up at Luffy who was watching him curiously.
"Tell the little girl that it was delicious," Zoro said, making Luffy laugh as he walked away for a few steps before disappearing, surprising Zoro.
"He's fast, I could barely keep up even with my 'Observation'…" He muttered to himself before closing his eyes and going back to meditating.
Only a few minutes before he sensed the guy returning, radiating anger and annoyance. He opened his eyes and raised an eyebrow at him. He seemed to notice that he was in front of Zoro again as his scowl flipped to a massive smile.
"That Helmet Poop guy showed up at Rika's mom's bar and started saying how he was gonna execute you tomorrow because he was 'bored'," Luffy explained to the tied-up swordsman, who upon hearing that the mushroom head was lying, tried to rip himself out of his bindings before failing and scowling up at him.
"That damn rat!! I should've known he was spitting bullshit!!" Luffy let him get his anger out, and when he saw that he had calmed down a bit, he said his pitch.
"So, here's the deal. I'll get you out of here and you'll join my crew." Luffy said with a smile. Zoro felt a vein on his forehead throb before sighing.
"My katanas…" He trailed off, making Luffy perk up at him and look at him. He sighed again before looking at the straw-hatted kid who was way stronger than he looked.
"That idiot mushroom head stole my katanas. If you get them back, I'll join your crew." Zoro said as he watched as a massive smile grew on Luffy's face before he immediately turned towards the Marine base.
"So, what does your sword look like?" Luffy asked him, making him look at him seriously.
"It's three of them. I use 'Three-Sword Style'. Just find the mushroom head, he'll know where they are." Zoro said and he saw Luffy's smile grow even wider as he turned around again before glancing over his shoulder at him.
"Rika said she was glad you liked the onigiri," Luffy told him, making him smirk.
Luffy jumped up to the top of the Marine base almost faster than Zoro could see.
"I still need to get stronger…" He muttered to himself.

Tons of Marines could be seen trying to hoist up a massive stone statue of the resident Marine Captain and Tyrant, Captain Morgan. Said man was watching with satisfaction as the statue capturing his greatness perfectly was put where everyone could see it.
"Move it to the left!! If you scratch it at all, you know the punishment!!" Morgan shouted at his subordinates, who all flinched from the threat. They flinched again when they heard a voice behind them.
"Man, what an ugly statue!!!" Luffy said as he inspected the thing he was standing on. He smirked at the guy who looked like the statue before applying 'Armament Haki' to his right foot and stomping down.
The cracks started small before spreading throughout the entire statue, eventually shattering. Luffy looked around before finding the Helmet Poop guy he punched earlier in the bar, who was trying to hide behind two Marines.
Luffy smirked at him and the next thing any of the Marines knew, Luffy was kicking in the door that leads to the base and running into it with Helmeppo being dragged by Luffy's palm on his face. He shook him a bit.
"Oi!! Where did you put Zoro's swords?" He asked the mushroom-haired man who weakly pointed at the bright pink door. Luffy deadpanned at him.
"Seriously?" He asked incredulously, making Helmeppo flush with embarrassment. Luffy threw him through the door, both knocking Helmeppo unconscious and getting the door open.
He looked around the all-pink bedroom that looked like it belonged to a spoiled 10-year-old princess with three very nice-looking katanas resting on the wall. He couldn't help it and burst out laughing. That laughter died when he sensed Koby, Zoro, and surprisingly Nami panicking, about to get shot at where Zoro was tied up.
'No, I can't die here!! I still have to fulfill my promise!!' Zoro thought back to his late friend as he stared down the countless rifles aimed at him and the two trying to untie him.
'Damn!! I have no energy to use my 'Armament Haki' and I can't use 'No-Sword Style' without it yet!! I should've listened to Master when he told me to refine it!!' He thought as he saw the shitty Captain go to order his men to shoot. He felt he never felt before, something similar to his 'Armament Haki', but different at the same time, took form in his chest. Something like a knot in a rope. Just as he felt like the feeling was going to break out of him, he heard something from the base.
*CRASH*
Luffy smashed through the window and was in front of them in an instant, making them all breathe a sigh of relief, all three of them knowing very well bullets couldn't take this guy down.
"FIRE!!!"
*BANG* *BANG *BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
The Marines shot their guns at Luffy, who didn't even move. He just let the bullets hit him and ricochet back at the Marines randomly.
"Shishishi!! That won't work on me!!!" Luffy shouted out at the Marines who were shocked and silent.
"Who the hell are you?" Zoro asked with an incredulous expression. He had known devil fruit existed, even fought and won against a user of one, but that doesn't mean they still don't surprise him. Luffy turned around and grinned at him.
"I'm Monkey D. Luffy, the man who's gonna become the King of the Pirates!!" This made Zoro recognize the fire he couldn't remember before. It was the fire he saw whenever he looked at himself in the mirror.
It was the bright, burning flame of a dream. A dream one would throw their life away for.
Before Zoro could respond to the outlandish claim, he heard the shitty Captain run his mouth again.
"If bullets don't work, then use swords!!" Morgan yelled out as his men drew their swords. Luffy unsheathed his cutlass before cutting the rope on Zoro's wrists and handing him his katanas.
"Here's your treasure…" He muttered as Zoro nodded to him in thanks. They both looked up when they sensed the Marines charging them.
Zoro disappeared before a flying sword slash carved a thin, deep ravine in the ground right in front of the charging Marines, freezing them in their advance. Zoro reappeared next to Luffy, sheathing his white katana, and glaring at the Marines.
"Don't cross that line." He growled out, sending shivers down each of their spines. Zoro looked back at Luffy.
"Now that I've fought the navy, I'm officially a criminal. During the time I'm with you, I'll be dedicating myself to my dream, so if I ever have to give that up, take responsibility and stab yourself through the stomach!." Zoro said with a fire roaring in his eyes, making Luffy break out with a massive smile.
"Oh? And what's your dream?" Luffy asked him making Zoro's eyes sharpen.
"To be the World's Greatest Swordsman!!! Evil or not no longer matters, as long as my name reaches the heavens!!" Zoro declared and as he did so he felt that knot in his body, that he felt right before he thought he was going to die, slightly loosen up, and felt something leave his body.
As Luffy went to respond to the declaration, he felt it. Even if it was only a little bit and completely uncontrolled, he wouldn't miss something like this.
Luffy was certain that he just felt a small amount of 'Conquerors Haki' come off of his new Vice-Captain. He started laughing with joy.
"Shishishishi!!! That sounds great!! The King of the Pirates would have no less!!" He laughed out, still not believing he found a Conqueror to be his Vice-Captain. Zoro was about to respond before they both heard Morgan yelling.
"What are you doing, you cowards?! Attack them NOW!!!" Morgan yelled at his subordinates, who all jumped in fright before advancing past the line that Zoro cut in the ground. Luffy grinned at them.
"Zoro, step back!" He ordered before He stretched his leg back behind him
"Gomu-Gomu no…" The entire courtyard was frozen upon seeing this.
"WHIP!!!"
His leg extended and smacked into the hoard of marines charging them and sending them flying back and into each other.
"What the hell are you?" Zoro asked him with an incredulous look. The devil fruit user he fought before turned into a Gorilla, not whatever the hell that was.
Luffy hooked his cheek with his finger and pulled, stretching it out. "I'm a rubber man, Zoro. I ate the 'Gomu-Gomu no mi', a devil fruit." Luffy explained making Zoro smirk at him and the Marines become more terrified.
"I've seen a guy turn into a Gorilla, but nothing like this…" He muttered making Luffy laugh.
"It's no use, we can't fight these monsters!!" "We can't fight the 'Pirate Hunter' and a rubber man at the same time!!" Countless terrified screams came from the Marines, pissing Morgan off.
"To every Marine who just spouted cowardice, shoot yourself in the head or I will put you down myself!!" The Marine Captain shouted, making everyone on Luffy's side, even Koby, look at him like an idiot.
Those looks changed to horror when the Marines put the guns to their heads. Luffy appeared in front of Morgan with his fist stretched back, once again shocking Zoro with his speed.
"OI!! I'm your enemy here! Why don't you try to put me to death? Gomu-Gomu no…" He snapped his haki-covered arm forward, slamming it into Morgan's axe.
"BULLET!!!" His fist crashed straight through the metal axe and went into Morgan's stomach, forcing him to bend over.
*BOOOOM!!!!*
Morgans was sent flying through the gate and back into the Marine base, completely unconscious after the punch hit him. Luffy laughed as he turned back around, not caring what happened to that guy now or in the future.
He saw the Marines looking at him like a hero, definitely need to change that, and he saw the Helmet Poop guy holding Koby at gunpoint. Koby's legs were shaking, but when he made eye contact with Luffy, his eyes hardened and his legs stopped shaking.
"Don't worry about me, Luffy-san!! It doesn't matter what happens to me, just do what you have to do!!" Koby said with a voice full of steel. Luffy looked at him with a smile.
'He has come a long way from that wimpy cabin boy.' Luffy thought, realizing how far his friend had come. The smile on his face only grew when he saw Nami, sneaking up behind Helmet Poop, bo staff in her right hand, rolled up piece of paper in the other.
"Shishishi!! I like that look in your eyes, Koby!! But, there's no way I'm gonna let my friend die!!" Luffy shouted out just as Nami jumped up and whacked Helmet Poop on the back of the head.
*WHACK!!!* *BOOM!!!*
Helmeppo ate a lot of dirt with his serving of brain damage as Koby dropped down to his knees, sweating buckets and thanking Nami profusely.
Nami just shook her head and said it was nothing. She snuck into the Marine base when she heard that Luffy was going to talk to Roronoa Zoro, using it as a distraction. It was very easy making her way through the base with all the Marines running around like headless chickens.
By the time she had finally got what she was there for, which by the way wasn't there thanks to some dumb clown, Luffy was inside the base, dragging around some idiot with the entire base after him.
After cursing her luck for somehow finding the dumbest pirate alive, she went to leave when she saw Koby trying to untie Roronoa Zoro for some ungodly reason.
She ran over to pull him away so nothing would happen, which ended up with her getting a bunch of guns pointed at her and being accused of helping the prisoner try to escape.
She was only now processing that if Luffy didn't get there in time, she would probably be dead or at the very least, bleeding out with countless bullets in her body.
She looked over at the man who saved her life, for the second time now that she thought about it, and was about to thank him, but before she could, she saw Morgan appear next to Luffy out of nowhere.
Luffy looked to his right just as Morgan used 'Shave' to get next to him. He was about to punch him before his eyes widened as did his smile.
"Three-Sword Style…"
Zoro appeared right in front of Morgan in a stance with his two swords crossed across his body and the sword in his mouth horizontally behind them. He disappears and reappears behind Morgan with his swords in his arms extended and the one in his mouth facing outwards.
"ONI GIRI!!!" Morgan felt his chest get torn open and the wound he got from the punch earlier get re-agitated. That was all he felt before getting shot right back into the hole he made in the wall of the Marine base, completely unconscious.
"Nice, Zoro!"
"My pleasure, Captain."

The four are now back at Ririka's bar, who along with her daughter was watching Luffy and Zoro shovel down food much faster than they could make it. Koby laughed nervously.
"Sorry for eating so much." He apologized to the mother and daughter, who both shook their heads at him.
"You're the heroes of the town, you can eat as much as you want," Ririka said as she handed Luffy another plate of meat, who was grumbling about how he is a pirate, not a hero. Zoro shook his head at him after downing an entire bottle of sake.
"How the hell can you eat more than me? I didn't eat for two weeks, you know?" Zoro asked, making Luffy laugh while Koby and Nami felt a drop of sweat form on their heads when they thought about how much Luffy ate on the ride to Shells Town.
"You never know when you'll be able to eat again, so you always need to eat as much as you can," Luffy said before going back to eating, making everyone look at him funny.
*Blueeehh*
Luffy burped as he patted his inflated stomach which was already shrinking. He looked over at Zoro as he picked his teeth with a toothpick.
"Hey, Zoro…" He started getting the swordsman to look at him. He continued.
"Why didn't you use 'Haki' when you were about to get shot by those Marines? I know you're way more than strong enough to get out of those ropes yourself" Luffy asked, getting a deadpan from Zoro and confused looks from everyone else.
"You try using 'Armament Haki' after being starved out in the sun for two weeks," Zoro responded making Luffy laugh. Koby asked the question everyone else was wondering.
"Hey, Luffy-san, what's this 'Haki' stuff you two keep talking about?" He asked with Nami and the mother-daughter duo nodding along. Luffy and Zoro looked at them before glancing at one another and looking back. Luffy answered his question with a smile.
"I won't talk about the complicated stuff because I suck at explaining stuff, but there are 2 types of 'Haki', which is a mysterious force that any living thing can use, and 1 type that only one in a million can use," Luffy explained getting wonderstruck looks from everyone else, even Zoro looked surprised at the last bit of information. His Master never told him this.
"There is 'Observation Haki', 'Armament Haki', and 'Conquerors Haki'. 'Observation Haki' basically lets you predict an opponent's attack and sense where they are or what they wanna do. Next is 'Armament Haki', this one is wrapping your willpower around your fist or sword to give it more power and make it so you can hit anything, even devil fruit users. You saw me use it when I punched Morgan. These are the two everyone can learn." Luffy explained with Zoro nodding along, confirming what he was saying.
The four others listening were mind-boggled. They couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that anyone could learn these things. Koby was thinking about how strong he would be if he could punch half as hard as Luffy.
Nami, however, felt her face pale from the familiar words. She tried her best to hide what she was feeling, but now that she knew that Luffy and Zoro knew 'Observation Haki', she knew she couldn't hide anything from them if they asked the right questions. She knew all too well how powerful that was…
She was shaken out of her stupor when she felt a hand on her shoulder, looking up to see Luffy looking at her concerned, along with everyone else. She smiled at him so he wouldn't ask about it, but she knew it didn't work, just delayed.
Luffy gave her one more look before turning back to everyone else, noticing that Zoro was paying the most attention out of everyone. He raised an eyebrow at that but shrugged and continued to explain.
"The third type of 'Haki' is called 'Conqueror's Haki', this lets you push your willpower outside of your body. This makes people who are weak-willed pass out without you even needing to do anything!!" Luffy finished with a smile, seeing almost everyone look completely blown away by that information. He looked at the only one who looked contemplative.
"What's up, Zoro?" Luffy asked with a grin. Zoro looked at him for a moment before shaking his head. Luffy shrugged and went to finish his explanation.
"There's also advanced forms, but that's too boring!! I want more food!!" Luffy yelled as he lost his patience for this conversation. Ririka smiled at him and went into the kitchen. Koby looked contemplative.
"Luffy-san, you said that only one out of one million people have 'Conqueror's Haki', right?" He asked Luffy who nodded in response before grinning at him.
"Yeah, that's right. But, you've already met at least two people with it." Luffy said, confusing everyone before Zoro looked at him with a smirk. Luffy smirked right back.
"What?! Was it you, Luffy-san?!" Koby shouted out, Nami and Rika looking at Luffy in surprise. Luffy laughed at them.
"Yeah, I'm a 'Conqueror', but I'm not the only one…" He trailed off staring at Zoro, who's eyes widened in response.
"You don't mean…" Zoro said as Luffy laughed at him.
"Shishishi!! That's right, Zoro, it's you!! When you told me what your dream was, I felt a little bit of 'Conqueror's Haki' slip out of your body!!" Luffy said, stunning Zoro and the others. Zoro went to say something else when the door to the bar opened and a Marine stepped in.
You could see a crowd of people being held back outside the bar. The Marine looked at them, bowed at them, and straightened back up.
"I thank you for everything you have done for this town, but am I right in assuming you are pirates?" The Marine asked them, making Luffy smile and Nami look at him nervously.
"Yeah, we are," Luffy replied without thinking, making Zoro laugh. The Marine frowned at Luffy and sighed in resignation.
"In that case, out of respect for everything you have done for the island, we won't report you. But, you have to leave the island immediately." The Marine told them making the townspeople by the door who heard it break out in outrage.
The Marine officer continued regardless of the protests. "But we can provide you with some food and a small boat for your journey.
Luffy held up his hand, stopping the protests. He looked at the Marine and smiled.
"That's fine, we were just about to leave anyway," Luffy said as he got up and grabbed his cutlass, Zoro and Nami doing the same with their respective katanas and bag of money found in Morgan's office. They started walking out of the bar, only to turn around when the Marine yelled after them.
"Wait!! What about this boy, isn't he with you?" Luffy looked back at Koby, who was watching him nervously. Luffy looked like he just remembered something before turning to the Marine.
"Hey, boy you guys have a Den-Den Mushi here somewhere?" The Marine looked at him in confusion before he nodded his head and told his subordinate to go grab a Den-Den Mushi from the base.
A couple of minutes later, Luffy is calling someone on the Den-Den Mushi they gave him.
*Pururururu* *Pururururu* *Purur-KACK*
"YO! WHO'S THIS?" A voice screamed from the speaker, making Luffy lean back away from it.
*CRUNCH* Luffy felt a vein bulge on his forehead.
"STOP EATING WHILE YOU TALK TO SOMEONE, SHITTY GRAMPS!!!"
"…" There was silence on the other side for a minute before the screaming started again.
"LUFFY, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? AND DON'T TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU DO TOO!!"
"YEAH, WHATEVER!! LISTEN GRANDPA!! I FOUND THIS KID WHO'S PERFECT FOR YOU!! HE'S GOT A GOOD HEART AND DETERMINATION. IF YOU PUNCH HIM AROUND A BIT, HE'LL BE WHO YOU WANTED ME TO BE!!" Luffy shouted at his Grandpa, who went silent again before responding.
"IS HE WITH YOU RIGHT NOW?"
"YEAH!!"
"GIVE HIM THE SNAIL." Luffy handed the microphone to Koby. "Talk! We're leaving, see you again someday Koby!!" Luffy shouted at him as he walked out of the bar with Zoro and Nami after saying goodbye to Rika, leaving a confused crowd and a nervous Koby.
"H-Hello, I'm Koby…"
"…" The other line went silent for a minute.
"TELL ME BRAT, WHY DO YOU WANT TO JOIN THE MARINES??"
The question not only shocked Koby, but everyone else who was listening in. Just who was on the other side of this call…
As everyone was confused, Koby gained a small fire in his eyes as he straightened his back and gripped the microphone a bit tighter unconsciously.
"I want to protect those who can't protect themselves. I want to bring in a new age of justice that protects the people who need to be protected and ensures people in power won't use their status for evil. I want to be a Marine so the next generation can live without the worry."
Everyone who heard this was moved by his speech in somewhere, even some were crying. The Marines standing there all had an approving look. Koby saw this as he took a deep breath and looked at the Den-Den Mushi for a response.
"…"
Koby became nervous again when there was no response when suddenly the other side spoke again.
"Is there any on-duty Marine officer near you right now?"
"Y-yes there is."
"Hand him the transponder." The voice ordered. Koby gave the microphone to the Marine who had gotten Luffy and the others to leave. He took it with a confused look on his face
"Yes sir."
"Recruit that boy right now and send me your location." The Marine officer stared at the Den-Den Mushi in shock.
"Y-yes, but if you don't mind me asking, can you please verify your Name and Rank first?"
"Vice-Admiral, Monkey D. Garp."
Hearing this, everyone got the shock of their lives. Monkey D. Garp, the Hero of the Marines who captured the Pirate King, Gold Roger. The most shocked was Koby, who immediately related Luffy's name to Garp's and realized they were grandson and grandfather.
He didn't say a word about it to anyone else though. Koby realized the opportunity his friend had just given him and vowed to make the most of it.

Luffy, Nami, and Zoro were sailing away from Shells Town when they heard screaming behind them. They turned around to see Koby and all of the marines saluting them.
"LUFFY-SAN… THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!! I'LL NEVER FORGET THIS!!!" Koby yelled out at them.
Luffy laughed in response, making Nami giggle while Zoro scoffed playfully.
"Heh… Marines saluting pirates?? That's a new one!!"
"Shishishishi!!! Yosh!! Time to set sail!!!"
"By the way, who's this witch?"
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING WITCH?!!"
*BAMMMM!!!*
"Damn woman…"

ntc15 Yo! 9th chapter done!! Zoro's here!! He is a fun character to write cause he just cuts people, drinks, and sleeps, so after writing this chapter I can tell he'll be a lot of fun to write. I'm just now starting to write his fight with Mihawk and it's a lot of fun. Also, if you guys have any attack ideas for the 'Divine One-Sword Style', please let me know. It's obvious where the idea for the style came from, so please give me some ideas! I'm also going to have Zoro learn it from watching Luffy use it and adapt it into Two, Three, and Nine-Sword Styles so please help me out with ideas!! This is also getting posted as I'm writing the Zoro vs Mihawk fight, so if you have any ideas for attacks I can use for Mihawk, that would be great. I have a few ideas, but he just fucking waves his sword in canon, so it's a bit hard. Anyway, thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!!
