Capítulo 51: Water 7 War VI

Shifting to Enel, bloodied and struggling, lay on the frozen ground. The young would-be "God," only 14 years old, had faced his match in the form of Vice Admiral Void, a cold and calculating figure whose immense strength dwarfed Enel's.

Void loomed over him, his eyes devoid of any empathy. His blade gleamed faintly, the air around it rippling from his haki.

"Listen, kid," Void said nonchalantly, his tone calm but laced with menace. "This war's going to end with most of us dead. At least I'll make sure you're one of them."

Enel glared up at Void, his pride burning brighter than the pain in his chest. Blood dripped from the deep diagonal slash across his torso, staining the frozen battlefield beneath him. As Void raised his blade for the finishing blow, the ground beneath them trembled violently.

CRACK!

The earth split apart, a shockwave from Roger and Garp's clash in the distance rippling across the battlefield. Void stumbled backward, caught off guard, and was flung several meters away, landing softly on his feet.

Void stood up and turned his gaze toward the titanic battle of Roger and Garp, their conqueror's haki clashing in bursts of raw energy.

"Those two…" Void muttered to himself, his expression unchanging. "Not a fight I'm jumping into. But over there..." His eyes shifted to another part of the battlefield. "Draco... Titled the Human God. Now he's a challenge worth considering."

Without a second thought, Void completely forgot about Enel and strode off, his curiosity piqued by Draco's distant clash with Zephyr.

[Back to Enel]

Enel, left behind, struggled to breathe. The pain from the slash was unbearable, but it only served to ignite his defiant spirit. Gritting his teeth, he clawed at the ground and began to push himself up.

"Get up, Enel!" he yelled at himself, his voice hoarse but filled with determination. "You're a God! You have to show these lowlifes the meaning of God's judgment!"

Staggering to his feet, he planted his golden staff in the ground to steady himself. His knees buckled, and he almost collapsed again, but a familiar, obnoxious voice rang out across the chaos.

"Oi! Enel! You lightning bastard!"

Enel turned his head, his vision blurry but clear enough to recognize the figure sprinting toward him.

It was Buggy, his red nose shining as brightly as the reckless determination in his eyes.

Buggy had woken up after being knocked out earlier in the battle. Ignoring protests from Mugren and Spencer, he had charged back toward the fray at Dock 5's shore. Now, seeing the state Enel was in, his jaw dropped in shock.

"What the hell happened to you?!" Buggy exclaimed, his usual comedic panic replaced by genuine concern.

"Shut up," Enel groaned, leaning heavily on his staff. "You're making my earring vibrate with all that yelling."

Buggy ignored the jab and pressed on, his tone growing serious. "Who did this to you?"

"It was a marine... Some Vice Admiral," Enel muttered, his voice strained. "He swallowed my devil fruit attacks... completely nullified them. Made it impossible to hit him with my powers."

Buggy frowned, his usual cowardly demeanor replaced by something uncharacteristically resolute. "And he beat you up physically, didn't he?"

Enel didn't respond, the silence serving as confirmation. Buggy's expression hardened, a rare moment of seriousness overtaking his usually exaggerated features.

"Alright then," Buggy said, unsheathing his Kitetsu with a dramatic flourish. The cursed blade gleamed ominously under the fractured light of the battlefield.

"Let's get revenge," Buggy declared, his grin wide and almost insane. "Draco will heal you up. Sure, he acts like he doesn't care, but he'll do it."

Enel, still clutching his chest, hesitated for a moment before nodding weakly. Despite his arrogance and pride, there was something oddly reassuring about Buggy's reckless enthusiasm.

"Fine," Enel muttered. "But don't slow me down."

Buggy smirked, his confidence completely out of place considering the state of the battlefield. "Me? Slow down? Never! Now let's show these marines what they're up against!"

With that, the unlikely pair set off, Buggy leading the charge with his sword drawn and Enel following close behind

[Back To Draco]

"BRAT!" Zephyr roared, his metallic arm swinging down toward Draco with the force of a meteor.

Ting! Ting! Clang!

Zephyr's roars echoed across the battlefield as his massive metallic arm swung at Draco again and again.

"BRAT! FIGHT ME!" Zephyr yelled, his haki-coated strikes tearing through the air with ferocity.

Draco effortlessly weaved and blocked each attack, but his expression wasn't one of anger or even focus, it was distant, his thought floating away. His mind drifted back to Earth, to Film Z, and the tragic story of Zephyr's life. The man before him was more than just a Marine; he was a symbol of a broken system and an unrelenting will.

As Zephyr swung wildly, Draco's lips parted, and he began to sing softly, almost unconsciously.

"The sea watches us quietly,

guiding us through our death and our birth...."

Zephyr's relentless assault faltered for just a moment. His strikes slowed as confusion flickered across his face.

"What the hell are you mumbling about?!" Zephyr barked, redoubling his efforts. He lunged forward, aiming a devastating punch at Draco, but Draco sidestepped, still singing.

"From humble hometown waters,

to the waves at the end of the earth..."

Each line of the song seemed to reverberate through the battlefield, a haunting melody amidst the fight. Zephyr gritted his teeth, sweat pouring down his face as his strikes grew more desperate, his stamina waning.

"STOP PLAYING AROUND AND FIGHT ME, DAMN IT!" Zephyr yelled, swinging again with all his might.

Draco deflected the blow with a flick of his wrist, not even looking at Zephyr as he continued singing.

"All our pain and suffering,

it swallows up in its warm embrace,

so knowingly and gently,

washes them all away..."

Zephyr's movements became sluggish, his breaths heavy. It wasn't just the exertion; it was the song, the words stirring something deep within him, something long buried.

"There will come a day, I'm sure,

when I must heed its solemn call,

and walk side by side with my old friends,

resting in its foamy waters..."

Zephyr hesitated, his metallic arm trembling mid-swing.

"That song…" he muttered, his voice uncharacteristically soft. He lowered his arm, his eyes narrowing at Draco. "How do you know that song?"

Draco finally stopped moving, his expression heavy with sorrow as he looked Zephyr directly in the eye. For a moment, the battlefield seemed frozen in time, the only sound the distant clash of other warriors.

"I'm sorry," Draco said simply, his voice barely above a whisper.

Zephyr's eyes widened. The words hit him harder than any punch. He took a step back, his mind racing as memories he'd tried to suppress surged to the surface, the faces of his fallen comrades, his lost family, his shattered dream of justice.

Draco stood silently, his gaze filled with an understanding that Zephyr couldn't comprehend. The battle wasn't over, but for this moment, neither of them moved. The haunting melody of "Ocean Guide" lingered in the air, a bittersweet requiem for all they had lost.

He remembered the man's sorrow ~ his family and crew slain by pirates, his arm taken, and the ultimate betrayal: the pirate responsible becoming a Warlord, an ally of the Marines Zephyr had served his entire life. It was a cruel, twisted irony that Draco couldn't ignore.

Zephyr, unaware of Draco's inner turmoil, gritted his teeth and poured everything into his next swing. His haki-coated metallic arm smashed directly into Draco's chest.

CLANG!

Draco stood unmoving as if Zephyr had struck an unyielding mountain.

"Huh... It's like hitting an immovable wall!" Zephyr thought his frustration mounting as he noticed the pity in Draco's eyes. The realization that his opponent wasn't even trying struck a nerve.

"AHH!" Zephyr yelled, launching another attack, but Draco sidestepped effortlessly. Before Zephyr could react, Draco delivered a single, calculated punch to his stomach ~ not enough to kill, but more than enough to knock him unconscious, unable to fight for the whole war.

WHOOSH! BOOM!

Zephyr flew through the air like a ragdoll before landing in a heap, unconscious and out of the fight.

"Sorry, I understand..." Draco thought, glancing at Zephyr's crumpled form with a flicker of sympathy.

From a distance, Fleet Admiral Kong watched in disbelief.

"Zephyr!!!" Kong bellowed, still reeling from his earlier injuries.

Draco shifted his gaze to Kong, his expression hardening.

"A dog of the World Government," Draco muttered. He raised his fist, haki crackling around it.

{Normal Series: Normal Punch}

The air contorted violently as Draco unleashed a devastating blow. The attack roared through the battlefield like an air cannon, hurtling toward Kong at blinding speed.

But just as it was about to strike, the air warped unnaturally, and a dark void appeared, swallowing the attack entirely.

FWOOOOSH!

The battlefield went silent for a moment as a figure emerged from the void: Vice Admiral Void.

"Wow," Void commented, his tone flat as he sheathed his blade. "Now, now. Nothing good comes from the Fleet Admiral dying here."

Both Draco and Kong blinked in surprise.

"Another person who can stop my punches," Draco muttered, rubbing his temple in mild annoyance.

"Kong's already half-dead," Void thought, his face as blank as ever. "But it's my job to keep him alive, I guess."

"Vice Admiral Void!" Kong rasped, barely able to speak. "Go check on Zephyr! He's seriously injured!"

Void glanced at Kong, his expression unreadable.

'And you're not?' Void thought sarcastically but kept it to himself. "I already sent him to the ship, Fleet Admiral," Void said aloud, his tone unwavering.

"Ah…" Kong murmured before collapsing, coughing up blood as he lost consciousness.

Seizing the opportunity, Draco leaped forward, aiming to finish Kong.

Void, however, intercepted him in an instant.

{Void: Clean Counter}

He said coldly, phasing in and out of sight before appearing in front of Draco. His blade flashed, slicing through the air and Draco.

Draco froze mid-step, touching his neck. He could feel the searing sensation of a precise cut, one so sharp it hadn't yet drawn blood.

"If I sheathe my blade," Void began, his voice devoid of emotion, "your head will separate from your body. Now, be a good kid and put on these cuffs."

Void tossed a pair of seastone cuffs toward Draco, his gaze unflinching.

Draco looked at the cuffs, then at Void, his face a mixture of confusion and disbelief. "Are you… by chance… never mind..."

Void blinked, his stoic expression faltering for a split second.

"…What?"

For a moment, the two stood in awkward silence. Then, without warning, Draco flicked his fingers toward Kong.

BOOM!

Another air blast screamed toward the unconscious Fleet Admiral, but Void opened another void portal, absorbing the attack with a sigh.

"Are you done yet?" Void asked, exasperated.

Draco didn't respond. Instead, he leaped forward, his fist cocked back. The speed of his movement left a shockwave in his wake, sending cracks through the icy battlefield.

Void's eyes widened. "This speed… it's like Kizaru's first days with his devil fruit…"

At the last second, Void tilted his head, narrowly dodging the blow. But Draco's true intent wasn't to hit.

Grabbing Void's shoulder with an iron grip, Draco smirked.

{Normal Series: Normal Throw}

BOOOOOOM!

Void's body was hurled across the battlefield, onto the ground, with such force that the ice beneath him shattered, water erupting from the cracks as the frozen battlefield split apart. The impact left a massive crater, Void lying at the center, dazed and in agony.

'What the…' Void thought weakly, his vision fading.

"Strong…" he muttered.

"No... not yet," Void said lowly through gritted teeth, forcing his trembling arm to reach for his blade.

Clenching his teeth against the agony, Void stabbed the blade into his side, sending a fresh jolt of pain coursing through him. Blood trickled from the wound, but the sharp sting cleared his mind, forcing him to stay awake.

"Stay focused. Stay alive," he whispered to himself, planting the blade in the ice to push himself to his feet.

Staggering, Void looked around, trying to regain his bearings. The battlefield was a cacophony of screams, clashing steel, and devil fruit abilities wreaking havoc. His focus shifted as his blurred vision locked onto a figure in the distance, a man fighting alone against a swarm of Marine captains and rear admirals.

Even surrounded, the man radiated an unshakable presence, his twin swords dancing like whirlwinds as enemies fell around him. The bright flames of Enma scorched the ice, while Ame no Habakiri's cleaved through the Marines with deadly accuracy.

"Another one," Void murmured, a faint smirk forming on his bloodied lips. He wiped the blood from his mouth and staggered toward the lone warrior.

As he got closer, Void's eyes sharpened. The man stood tall, his weird hair shape billowing like a storm, the strength of his strikes unrelenting. It was Kozuki Oden, the samurai.

"He's handling them all by himself..." Void muttered. He couldn't help but admire the samurai's tenacity.

Oden, seemingly aware of the new arrival, glanced toward Void for a brief moment, his expression unwavering despite the battle raging around him.

"Vice Admiral Void!"

"He'll kill that pirate!"

"You're dead now samurai!"

The lower-ranked marines yelled out in high morale.

"You look like hell," Oden said with a half-grin, ignoring them, his voice carrying over the chaos.

Void chuckled weakly, using his blade like a crutch to steady himself. "You're one to talk... Kozuki Oden. I don't suppose you're interested in standing down?"

Oden laughed, a deep, booming sound that seemed to reverberate around the chaos. "You'd have better luck convincing the sun not to rise!"

Void's smirk widened. He could barely stand, his body screaming in protest, but he took another step forward, his blade back in its sheath.

"I like that better," Void said, drawing his blade with a flash, and swinging at Oden, his blade imbued with his void devil fruit.

[Draco]

Draco stood over the shattered ice, his gaze shifting to Kong's unconscious body. Slowly, he began walking toward the Fleet Admiral, his steps slow but oppressive.
