Capítulo 424: Chapter 424: Diddy Vs Five Elders!
Nearing the mansion at the center of Mariejois, I spotted the five Elders standing on the balcony, causing me to smirk as I leaped off Nimbus, propelling myself directly for them as I smashed through the balcony.
"Heh, c'mon, let's have some fun, you old geezers." Said Diddy with a feral grin as he slammed his bo-staff onto the ground, dispelling the smoke and debris with a powerful wave of haki while locking eyes with the five elders.
"It seems we underestimated your strength; not even six of the strongest pirates to ever live was enough to bring you down." Said Saturn with a deep frown as he glared at Diddy while holding his wooden cane, causing him to chuckle.
"Hehe, if they weren't corpses, I'd have been in genuine trouble, but that doesn't matter, does it? I'm here, so let's fight; I'm already warmed up, so this should be some fun." Remarked Diddy with a smirk as he fearlessly gazed at the five elders, who all began to slowly transform.
"So be it. We'll let you witness the strength of the World." Stated Nusjuro sinisterly as they grew in size, forcing Diddy to back away.
Grabbing Naga-sa, I leaped backward, watching the five elders from a distance as they transformed into their full-beast form, causing a powerful and ominous aura to erupt from them as my fur stood on end, though it wasn't from fear or anything like that.
'This… This is wrong.' Thought Diddy with furrowed brows as he rested his bo-staff on his shoulder while gazing at the five elders.
I didn't know how to explain it, but something about the elder's devil fruit wasn't right; I couldn't even properly pinpoint why; it was just an instinctual feeling.
'Maybe… Maybe they're not wrong, but something with every other devil fruit is wrong?' Thought Diddy with a thoughtful expression as he rubbed his chin while gazing at the five elders before glancing at Freyja, Kaido, Blackbeard, Bullet, Mael, and Sebas, only to eventually shake his head.
Whatever it was, I could figure it out later, though I wasn't all that interested to begin with, so there was a good chance I'd forget about it after all this was over. Shrugging my shoulders, I shifted my focus to the five monstrous beings in front of me as they all completely overshadowed me; I was akin to an insect to them.
Warcury, the elder with a handlebar mustache, had transformed into a massive boar with huge tusks; he was probably the most imposing amongst them if I had to add. Nusjuro, the one with a sword, had transformed into a skeleton of a horse with a green flaming mane erupting off the back of his neck. Saturn, the elder using a cane, transformed into something akin to a spider with two large horns sprouting out the side of his head; however, I knew he hadn't eaten the spider fruit since Blackmaria had, and I could sense her fighting in the distance. Mars, the tallest elder, had transformed into a flying monster that greatly resembled a pterodactyl, but it only had feathers, a longer neck, a long tail, and larger talons. Lastly, Peter, the elder with the blandest name ever, transformed into a large purple worm; by far the least intimidating since what fool would be scared of a worm?
The five of them were vastly different from each other, but there were two things about them that I instantly noticed that were identical between them all; first was their eyes; all of their eyes were bright red. The second was the clouds wrapped around their shoulders, something specific only to awakened zoan devil fruit.
"Are you excited now, Chaos Kong? You've finally reached where you die." Asked Mars lightly as he stared at Diddy while destroying their surroundings with a flap of his wings.
Chuckling in amusement, I infused Nimbus into Naga-sa before tapping it onto the ground, causing it to violently erupt into a thick pillar of lightning that reached the sky, concealing my figure in the middle.
"Hehe, die? I've experienced it once already; let me see if you five are enough to make me experience it again." Remarked Diddy with a feral grin as he aggressively bared his fangs while staring at the five elders, only for him to suddenly lunge towards them at a frightening speed.
Condensing my lightning and haki around my bo-staff, I slammed my foot onto the ground before swinging Naga-sa upwards, launching a powerful attack full of lightning that arched through the sky, reaching the elders.
"BEASTLY ERUPTION!" Yelled Diddy loudly as he swung his bo-staff upwards, launching an attack with such might that the world itself began to tremble, the sheer haki too much for the world to handle.
With unstoppable momentum, my attack blasted right through Peter, completely ignoring his haki-clad, purple, worm-like body, leaving behind only four of the five elders. However, I didn't celebrate and instead patiently landed on the ground, waiting to see the outcome of my attack, and lo and behold, Peter began to rapidly reform his body; not even thirty seconds later, Peter, whose body had been reduced to literally nothing from my attack, now stood exactly where he had previously stood as if he hadn't just ceased to exist.
"You can't defeat us." Said Peter calmly as he looked at Diddy before opening his large mouth and firing a powerful laser that disintegrated everything it touched.
Raising my hand, I twirled Naga-sa in a circle, preventing his laser from reaching me, though he wasn't the only one to attack as Warcury, the massive boar, came charging right for me while his tusks took on a black glow. Digging my feet into the ground, I outstretched my other hand and grabbed his tusk, bringing his charge to an immediate halt while I didn't budge an inch.
"Hmph, the pirates I fought before this were stronger than you; what makes you all think you can kill me?" Asked Diddy with an amused gaze as he tightly clutched Warcury's tusk, preventing him from moving.
"You can't kill us, and while it's true we're individually weaker than you…" Said Mars as he swiftly flew behind Diddy, stabbing his large talons into his back, though they could barely pierce his haki-clad skin.
"... We'll eventually exhaust you of haki…" Said Saturn as he violently swung his cane at Diddy's head, only for it to break into several different.
"... And that is when we will strike!" Stated Nusjuro solemnly as he dashed towards Diddy with a sword in his mouth before violently slashing at him.
Catching Nusjuro's sword with my teeth, I swept my gaze through the five elders before laughing as I swung Warcury in a circle, knocking the three of them back only to toss him towards Peter, who finally stopped hitting me with his laser.
"Hahaha, what a terrible plan! Let me tear it apart!" Said Diddy with laughter as he lunged towards Nusjuro while slashing his nails, launching five blades of sharp winds, leaving deep gashes on his skeleton.
Despite grievously wounding a skeleton, Nusjuro healed within a few seconds and attacked me, causing me to smirk as I grabbed his neck before tossing him onto the ground. Flexing my muscles, I brutally ripped Nusjuro's head off his body while tossing it at Peter, who knocked it aside with his tail before charging toward me, seemingly seeking to devour me with his massive mouth. However, just when I was about to leap out of the way, Nusjuro suddenly bit down on my body, preventing me from moving and allowing Peter to swallow me whole.
'This is disgusting.' Thought Diddy lightly as he fell into Peter's stomach, though before he took a bath in his stomach acid, he spread his arms.
With a massive eruption of lightning, I burnt Peter from the inside out, creating several holes in his body I used to escape; the moment I did so, Mars lunged at me, speedily moving through the sky with a flap of his wings.
Evading a swipe from his talons, I grabbed his long tail and swung him right back at Peter, who had already healed, knocking him far into the distance. Continuing to swing Mars, I increased my speed, creating enough centrifugal force to the point where I had forcefully ripped his tail off, causing him to be flung far beyond Mariejois.
While holding Mars's tail, I used it as a whip as I repeatedly hit Warcury, leaving behind various marks on his body that were constantly being healed.
"Hehehe, this is fun! Fighting against undying enemies isn't so bad; I can do whatever the hell I want without worrying about you all dying." Remarked Diddy with a feral grin as he constantly with Warcury before swiftly slamming Saturn to the ground with a violent kick.
Peter tried to lunge at me once more, yet I smacked him with the makeshift whip in my hand, diverting his path to my right, only to suddenly smirk as I landed on his head while wrapping the tail around his mouth.
"Hahaha, c'mon, hyah!" Said Diddy in amusement as he treated Peter like a mount, forcing him into his own comrades and knocking them over.
"Laugh all you want, Chaos Kong. In the end, we will win." Said Nusjuro firmly as he rammed into Peter, uncaring for his wellbeing, successfully knocking Diddy off of him.
"Heh, whatever you say." Remarked Diddy lightly with a faint smirk.
