Blake tensed. His instincts screamed that this man, Rayleigh, was dangerous. His mind began racing with possibilities. Why was this man here? How strong was he? And how could Blake face someone this strong at this moment when he was weakened?
It was during the journey back to Amazon Lily, after the chaotic events at Marineford, that Blake had noticed a notification of his system, which had been silent during the war, had finally come to life:

Blake's expression had darkened upon seeing the penalties. There wasn't any mention of penalties in the first two quests given.
It was now locked, rendering him without access to his cards for an entire year. His advantage, his trump card, was gone.
Even though he had managed to rescue Ace, Whitebeard's crew hadn't entirely escaped, and now he was paying the price for it.
Despite this, Blake remained composed. He was used to dealing with difficult situations, but this was different. No abilities, no cards for a year, only his Aetherian eyes and physical strength to rely on. His mind raced as he processed the impact. What if the system failed him again, or worse, just disappeared? He needed to become strong on his own, without relying on the system.
Back in the present, Blake's sharp eyes assessed Rayleigh. Despite his calm exterior, something about the man was…familiar, as if he knew Blake's origins. The way Rayleigh looked at him wasn't just casual recognition, it was as if Rayleigh could see what Blake really was.
"Welcome," Rayleigh said, his voice deep and steady. He glanced between Blake and Luffy, who remained unconscious before his eyes rested on Blake once more. "You're an interesting one, aren't you?"
Blake stiffened, though his expression remained calm. This man knew something.
"I've seen your kind before," Rayleigh continued his tone still calm but laced with curiosity. "The Aetherians, a rare species. But you… you're different, aren't you?"
Blake kept his composure, but his thoughts whirled internally. How did Rayleigh know about his species? What else did this man know?
As the days passed, Blake stayed on the island, observing Rayleigh's training with Luffy. Rayleigh had strongly convinced Luffy to use his special circumstances to train himself to take on the world's challenge. He's not ready at this point, even Blake knew it. Two years might also be too short if he wants to attain the world peak's power.
Before going into training mode, with his crew scattered, he had to pass a message to them so that they could reunite at an appropriate time. Blake didn't really mind them. They went off the island a bit and made their way back. He used this time to map his surroundings, meditate a bit, and plan his next steps. He also engaged in conversation with Rayleigh from time to time.
The old man gave some pointers about body's training, according to this world, and haki training methods.
But nothing worked even as he trained his body and attempted to tap into Haki. After a month, Blake came to the harsh realization: Haki wasn't within his grasp, he couldn't muster even a once of it, in both observation and armament Haki. It wasn't something his body, or perhaps his soul, could manifest. Maybe it was because of his Aetherian heritage, or maybe it was tied to the fact that he wasn't originally from this world.
No Haki. No system.
Blake sighed, sitting alone on the beach, the weight of his next decision pressing on him. If he couldn't rely on Haki or the system, he needed to learn how to survive with his own strength; even though his body had strength, he had to rebuild his combat foundation from scratch. But it will not be too difficult with this pair of eyes of his. Being able to sense dynamic movements with a heightened accuracy is no joke. It will terribly quicken his learning speed, especially close combat skills.
One morning, after a particularly grueling training session, Blake approached Luffy, who was just as worn out but smiling brightly as always.
"I think I'm going to leave," Blake said casually.
Luffy blinked, surprised. "Why?"
Blake shrugged. "I need to see more of this world. Figure out what I can do on my own."
Luffy grinned, despite his exhaustion. "In two years, my crew and I will meet at Sabaody Park to continue our adventure. If you want to join us, you're welcome! If you're not there, well… we'll still be friends."
Blake smiled, appreciating Luffy's simple, carefree outlook. "I'll think about it."
He made his way out of this island with one of the abandonned ships the Kuja's kept around.
The adventure promised to be exciting. Hard but fulfilling.
Sabaody Park, Two years later.
The sun bathed Sabaody Archipelago in a golden glow, illuminating the chaos of the bustling town. Pirates, Marines, and bounty hunters roamed the area, some searching for fortune, others for fame. Rumors spread like wildfire—the Straw Hat Pirates had returned after two years of disappearance.
Blake sat casually in a cafe, sipping on a drink, his sharp eyes scanning the horizon. He had grown in the past two years—his body was more muscular, his long hair styled back neatly, and he exuded an air of quiet strength. His eyes, an intense deep purple, glowed with a quiet power that hadn't been there two years ago.
From his position in the cafe, he could see everything. Luffy had just made his arrival, engaging with the imposter Straw Hat crew.
Blake's unique sight allowed him to watch all the events unfold from afar. Now leveled up, the Heimdall card let him see everything on the island in great detail—through walls, beyond crowds, nothing escaped his gaze.
A faint smile tugged at his lips. "Looks like they're all back and ready to go," he murmured to himself, watching the unfolding chaos as Luffy and his crew began to reassemble.
His attention was drawn to Franky, now more mechanical than ever, boarding the Thousand Sunny alongside Nami, Usopp, and Chopper. They hadn't spotted him yet, but Blake was in no hurry. His gaze flickered toward the Marines slowly gathering in the distance. He could see Sentomaru and his Pacifistas approaching the harbor, preparing for a confrontation.
Suddenly, something caught Blake's attention—a rush of air. He tilted his head slightly, noticing a black figure swooping down from the sky. He straightened up from his seat, downed his drink, and stood, stretching his arms out as if preparing for action.
Then, with a confident leap, Blake took to the skies, using his newly acquired ability to fly. His figure was a motion blur as he soared above the rooftops, heading straight for the Thousand Sunny.
Onboard the Thousand Sunny, the crew had just finished reuniting. Nami and Robin stood together, discussing the plan, while Usopp marveled at Franky's new upgrades. Sanji, of course, was busy gawking at Nami, barely keeping his composure.
Suddenly, there was a sharp rush of wind, and a shadow fell across the ship's deck. The crew turned, instinctively going on alert, but what they saw surprised them.
A man landed gracefully on the ship's railing, crouched with perfect balance. His dark purple pants and black boots gleamed under the sunlight, and his black tank top clung to his well-muscled frame. His chest was broad, his arms powerful, but not in an exaggerated way—his physique was more like that of a seasoned warrior, honed by two years of relentless training. His sharp jawline and striking eyes drew the attention of all those present.
"Yo," Blake said casually, his voice calm and composed as he stood, crossing his arms over his chest with a faint smirk.
The crew stared at him, confused and ready to fight. Zoro placed his hand on one of his swords. Sanji frowned, already assessing the situation.
"Who the hell is this guy?" Zoro muttered, sizing Blake up.
Before anyone could say anything more, Luffy burst into laughter from where he was sitting near the ship's helm. "It's Blake!" he shouted, hopping to his feet and running toward his old friend.
"Blake?" Usopp echoed, scratching his head. "Wait... you're that guy Luffy was waiting."
Blake nodded, his eyes scanning the crew with interest. "I see you've all finally come together again."
Nami, still unsure, raised an eyebrow. "So, you're the guy Luffy mentioned... what's your deal?"
Blake chuckled. "Let's just say I'm intersted in this guy" He tilted his head towards Luffy. "He's kept me entertained."
Luffy, grinning widely, clapped a hand on Blake's back."Blake's strong! He helped me out a lot! And he's brilliant!"
Sanji lit a cigarette, his expression relaxing slightly. "Well, if you're a friend of Luffy's, then welcome aboard."
Blake nodded appreciatively. "Glad to be here."
Zoro watched Blake for a moment longer before releasing the hilt of his sword.
"Just don't get in our way."
Blake grinned, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of mischief and confidence. "I'll try to keep up."
