"What? Spirit world? How?" Aang asked without understanding much or almost anything of what Sokka was saying at the moment.
"You ask a lot of questions bald boy, but yes, you are going to try to go to that world" Sokka replied scratching his cheek, "No, you are going to go to that world"
"How? Why?" Aang became nervous.
"Why? Because we need more information about this war." Sokka began to wonder, "How? I still don't know."
"But you are supposed to be the bridge between this world and the spiritual one, maybe some spirit can take you" Sokka put his hand on his chin.
Hearing that, Aang gulped. Katara cleared her throat and stepped forward, "Is there any other less risky or dangerous method?"
"Yes, as I told you there are objects with strong spiritual attraction" Sokka looked at his sister and Suki, "Any object from the Kyoshi avatar?"
"We've kept her clothes for a long time" Suki responded, crossing her arms.
"Well Aang, you will dress as avatar Kyoshi"
"WHAT?" Aang backed up thirty feet in an instant, "To do that would be complete insanity!"
"You need the guidance of your old ancestors, and before going to the island of avatar Roku, perhaps a talk with Kyoshi would help you"
"Of course, she didn't live through the conflict with the Fire Nation, but her experience could help you," Sokka commented, looking at the arrow boy.
"Well it's true" Aang scratched his head.
"Suki, take us to get Kyoshi's clothes," the boy looked at the warrior with a smile, "Well Aang, let's see if they look as good on you as they do on her."
"Hey!" Aang bellowed, but for her part Suki blushed at that compliment, although she quickly hid it.
"How do you know so much about all this?" Suki asked him quite curiously.
"I have heard many stories and I also read a lot, but I still have a lot to know" Sokka answered with a small smile.
"Wow, wow, I thought you were a tough, headless guy, but you surprised me." Suki looked at him with a raised eyebrow and Sokka did the same.
"You have a peculiar way of flattering," the boy commented, sighing, "But anyway, is this it?"
"Yes. Excuse me sir" Suki looked at the village chief, "We will need the honorable clothing of the avatar Kyoshi for a... well, m-mission"
"What mission?" The man was curious.
After a few moments, he saw Aang dressed as Kyoshi. That made him and everyone present laugh, "This is not funny at all!"
"It is," Sokka smirked.
"These boots are huge, so is the suit!" Aang complained looking at his outfit.
"The Kyoshi avatar was quite tall, taller than normal," the man responded and Sokka let out a laugh.
"I'll get my revenge" Aang looked at him vengefully.
"Yes, yes, but now sit there and start meditating, do your thing, avatar," Sokka indicated, laughing, "Now we have to leave him here alone."
Then everyone left the room, "Argh, damn Sokka, he'll pay me for it" Aang huffed, trying to focus and clear his mind.
Aang opened his eyes from time to time, to see if he was in the spiritual world, but there he was still, "Aaaaaaaargh this doesn't work! Damn, Sokka!"
"Being an air nomad you should be more patient" a female voice sounded and when he opened his eyes, he saw a silhouette right in front of him.
"A-Avatar Kyoshi?" Aang was speechless.
"Hello Aang, we were waiting for you" Kyoshi answered with a small smile.
"But I'm still here, in this world, how did you...?" Aang was confused about that.
"We are inside you, after all we are your past lives, although my clothes created a spiritual link for it to appear" she answered.
"I see. Hum, avatar Kyoshi, I was absent for a hundred years, the world is in a war, I feel a little lost" Aang opened up to his ancestor.
"Aang, only you can bring balance back to the four nations, do what is necessary to make this happen, and return justice to a world that no longer has it."
"I trust you to fulfill your duty as the avatar," said Kyoshi before disappearing like a cloud of smoke, leaving the little monk alone.
'Do I have to do what is necessary?' Aang stared at the ceiling for a few moments, until everyone else reentered the room.
"Well? How was it?" Katara asked.
"I didn't go to the spiritual world, the spirit of the avatar Kyoshi appeared before me" Aang responded, standing up and both the village chief and Suki were surprised by this event.
"Did she tell you something important?" Sokka asked.
Aang shook his head and the water tribe boy sighed, "Meh never mind, this was to initiate your spiritual senses."
"We will go to the island of the old avatar" Sokka spoke to try to cheer him up, "Now you can take off your suit, we will leave shortly"
Aang nodded and Sokka walked out of the room, but then Suki went after him, "So you're leaving."
"Exactly, we're leaving, we have to get to the north pole as soon as possible, even if we have to make some stops" Sokka looked Suki in the eyes.
"This war is not going to be easy at all, right?" Suki stated instead of asking, "We won't just sit here idly."
"You saw before what Zuko is capable of, you can't expose your warriors like that" Sokka tried to persuade her.
But then, Suki took a bandage and began to tie it around the burn on Sokka's arm, "We are not cowards, and you know it well."
"I know what we are facing Sokka, we will also participate in this war" Suki looked at him with a smile full of defiance.
"Ah, well you weren't going to listen to me anyway" Sokka smiled resignedly and suddenly received a kiss on his lips, "W... What?"
"I'm not only a warrior, I'm also a girl, and I like you" Suki was totally blushing.
"But you barely know me." Sokka was confused, this was perhaps going too fast.
"I know you well enough to know that you would do anything to save the ones you love, or am I wrong?" Suki looked at him defiantly.
Ah... will we meet again?" Sokka turned around.
"At the north pole, surely," Suki replied enthusiastically, "Until then, don't forget me!"
"I won't do it"
