Capítulo 12: Chapter 11: Kyoshi Island
"What's the plan you have in mind Sokka?" Katara asked, looking at his brother, "I mean, other than going to the North Pole and all that, you know."
"The avatar is supposed to be the bridge between this world and the spiritual one, you should consult with the spirit of the last avatar to give you instructions" Sokka spoke looking at Aang.
"I understand, but who was the last avatar?" the bald boy asked curiously.
"Well, it is known that he belonged to the Fire Nation, in fact there is an island in his honor here." Sokka pointed to the map, "We should go to that island."
"But why would we do that? The last avatar is supposed to have died more than a hundred years ago and after that Aang was born" Katara replied.
"Because it's his island, he has an incredible spiritual affinity with that avatar so it is likely that Aang will find his spirit" Sokka answered.
"How do you know all that?" Katara asked once again, surprised by the superior knowledge her brother displayed on these topics.
"On the pirate ship I found a scroll about spirits, and I skimmed it" Sokka replied, leaning back.
It wasn't a lie. He read that sometimes there were spirits trapped in this world, either because they had an unfinished business...
Or for some other supernatural reason. And of course, in the case of the spirit of the previous avatar, he had the pending objective of training Aang.
Sokka also read that the places where the spirit had the greatest affinity in his life were where its appearance would be most likely. And this is where the avatar island came in as he had explained.
"We'll go after our next stop," Sokka commented with a smile, "You'll like it."
"What place is it?" Aang was curious.
"The island of Kyoshi, one of your ancestors Aang" Sokka looked at him smiling and Aang's eyes widened at that.

Sokka looked at the system screen, he had forgotten about the system in the last few hours. He came in to see what it was about.

'This must be about the pirate ship, but what is that key?' Sokka asked himself with great curiosity.

'Of course' Sokka selected the affirmative option, and then a screen appeared where some kind of treasure chest opened.

Sokka raised his head, looking at Aang. Then, she tried to use his ability on him.

'This is something incredible!' Sokka exclaimed enthusiastically, it could be too useful to know the identity of his next enemies.
"Is it normal for Sokka to stare at me with a smile?" Aang asked scared and Katara laughed.
Then, they landed on the island. Aang stretched and Katara took out a bag of food, "Let's have lunch before visiting Kyoshi Island."
"I was already starving," Aang commented after hearing his stomach growl.
They sat on the sand of the beach to eat, but Sokka's senses alerted him to something.
Suddenly, Sokka stood up and threw his boomerang towards a bush. A sound seemed to be heard, and the weapon returned to his hands.
"What's wrong Sokka?" Katara asked standing up and Aang did the same.
"They're trying to attack us," Sokka responded, looking at the bush from before, "I recommend you get out of hiding as soon as possible!" the boy shouted.
Then, a group of six girls with makeup, green suits and yellow fans, came out of the bushes, "Who are you?"
"I'm Sokka, this is my sister Katara and the bald guy over there is the avatar Aang" the young man answered, receiving a moan from the bald boy.
"The avatar?" asked one of them, who was bleeding from the forehead. She is the one who must have received the boomerang blow from Sokka.
"That's right, it's me!" Aang exclaimed, creating a ball of air, and the girls let out sounds of surprise at seeing an airbending master.
"Well, come with us," said another of the girls with a smile, "The village chief will be delighted to meet the great avatar."
Sokka approached the girl he had hurt, offering her a tissue, "I'm sorry about earlier, but hiding there wasn't a smart thing to do..."
"Don't you dare question our tactics" the girl reluctantly accepted the handkerchief and pressed it on the bleeding to stop it.
"Tactics? I expected better from the famous warriors of Kyoshi" Sokka commented smiling and the girl frowned.
"One, how do you know who we are? And two, if you really think this is one of our best ambush tactics, you're stupid, a big, big stupid," the girl commented.
"Well, first I don't know who you are, I'm Sokka, and you are?" the boy asked, extending his hand.
"Suki" the girl didn't return the greeting.
