For the next three days, Andromeda dedicated herself to the process of recovery. Despite her physical well-being improving, Ferox, the enigmatic elemental, offered a less-than-comforting revelation about the fragility of her core. The prickly elemental dismissed her lack of awareness with a condescending tone.
"Hah, this is why mortals irk me. An inherent dearth of intellectual prowess," Ferox remarked, making it clear that explaining such matters to humans was a source of frustration.
Andromeda, feeling a bit affronted, inquired further. "What do you mean? What happened to my core?"
Ferox explained, "Your core was forcefully expanded when you received the goddess's pure mana. Did you not feel it?"
It was almost as if the elemental couldn't fathom the thought of it.
Andromeda recalled the sensation but hadn't realized the potential consequences. The revelation left her unnerved. Seeking reassurance, she asked, "When will my core stabilize, then?"
These days, I keep wanting to write the romance part of the novel, even though it's far in the future. I have to keep reminding myself that it's a revenge novel. But the scenarios for later keep rushing into my head.
