In the lower corner of the Continent of Jide. Vast green land covered the whole area, livestocks could be seen anywhere near the cabin. The cabin has been erected here for a long time. A man could be seen on the porch sitting on the chair.
"Dravi, the meat is ready!" The woman called from inside.
"I also made you your favorite chicken soup!" The woman added.
Dravi slowly opens both eyes after he heard his wife.
"Mother, ill go get father." The boy says.
The cabin's door opened and a young boy around the age of 14 walks out from it.
"Father, mother's been calling you!" Said the boy while scratching the back of his head.
Dravi was not responding so the boy called back at him which eventually woke Dravi from his stupor.
The two of them went inside to prepare for the meal. After eating Dravi went outside to move the livestocks inside the fences as it was about to get dark. He also fixed some broken fences by hammering nails in it. After almost an hour of labor, Dravi who was about to go inside saw a man walking towards their place.
Dravi was alarmed, after all it would take 3 hours from the nearest city to this place and that is if you rode on a horse or a carriage but the man was clearly walking alone. He was wearing a black coat and a black hat that covered his eyes.
Fortunately, Dravi's sword was strapped on his waist.
"What visits you here in this empty green land, sire?" Ask Dravi with caution. After all his family is inside.
The man looked up, his chestnut colored eye looked at Dravi. He replied "Do you have water? I don't mind paying for it."
"Right. Dave, go fetch me a cup'o water!" Called Dravi to his son while his hands was still gripping firmly at the shaft of his sword cautiously observing the man.
"I'm Custos, a wanderer and you have no need to be cautious as you can see that I dont have anything on me." Says Custos while showing the insides of his coat.
Dave brought a cup filled with water handing it to his father. Dravi cautiously gave the cup to Custos.
"Thanks!" Custos drinks the water like he had not drank water for days. The father and son was shocked.
"Although I don't get thirsty the feeling of water on your throat feels refreshing as always!" Custos muttered silently. He placed the cup at the top of the fence and took 2 copper coins and putting it inside the cup.
"I appreciate it." Custos says while holding the front of his hat and bowing. Custos was about to turn around and leave when Dravi called him out.
"It's already dark, so you can stay here although only on the porch but I'll give you a sleeping pad. Hope you understand my reasons." Dravi said. Custos smiled accepting the offer.
Custos slept on the porch that night unbothered by the sound of livestocks, he slept like never before. Dravi was looking at Custos from inside but he got tired and slept just on his chair right beside the window
