I lowered my head to face the ground. My mind ran down the events of the past few days, prince Zephirin wasn't affected by the touch of huanar. It didn't hurt him or scratch an inch of his skin, I failed to believe that the spell that erased the prisoners of huanar from people's consciousness affected them. 

The prince looked me dead in the eyes and acted oblivious to who Ywain was. He didn't flinch when I told him that Ywain was no more of this world. 

I was a fool to believe that it was to me to bring Ywain back and save him. The gang played me from right under my nose and I was clueless about it.
