Capítulo 43: Christmas Special

I place a red ornament on the tree, watching the light reflect off it as I smile back at myself. I hear loud thundering behind me as someone ran into my legs, hugging them tightly.

"Momma!" I twist a little to run behind me, looking down, I see my precious little angel "I'm so excited for Christmas! Is Santa gonna bring me lots of toys!?" She asked with a grin.

"Of course, sweetheart," I smile down at her. Her grin widens as she prances off.

"Mommy!" She calls, "Santa is gonna give me lots of toys!!!" She jumps up at Quinn as Quinn tried to catch her. She wiggled in her embrace as Quinn laughed. "Are you even going to play with all of them?"

She paused in wiggling, looking very serious for a seven year old. Her face twisting some more as she thought about it really hard.

She looked steely at Quinn in the eye before answering, "Why, of course I am,"

I couldn't contain my laughter anymore and bursted out laughing out loud. My little angel turned to look at me with an exaggerated scowl on her face. "And why you laughing at me, Momma?"

Quinn began to laughing too, my little angel looked at us both with the stink eye before she too, began to laugh. I scooped her up into my embrace, still laughing, showering her with kisses as her laughter gets more ecstatic.

I hug her close to me as she said out of breath, "I can't wait for Christmas!"
