"Yes, thank you, I'll be right there." Ray sighed as she hung up the phone, the unfamiliar scent of another woman's shampoo clinging to her hair. The quiet bedroom's dim light brightened as the slim blonde she'd spent the last two hours with pulled back the heavy drapes of her hotel room.

Veronica-or was it Vicky?-smiled as she turned to face Ray, wrapped in a fluffy, monogrammed robe. Her blue eyes seemed sad, though. Did she know this would be the only time she ever saw the tall, slim brunette? That Ray could hardly bear to touch her now their afternoon tryst was over?
