Capítulo 29: Chapter 28: Second Maturation and, You Have Changed The Game

After summoning the last person I felt some changes in my subconscious so I meditated to see what was going on. Pretty creepy if you ask me, mediating in a cemetery.

After entering I could see a large number of lines were connected to my magical core, and I also felt that I have gone through a Second Maturation. It seems that using Necromancy can increase your mana, but that is not the only case though. I have felt close to breaking through for a while.

I also saw that my book has flipped to the fourth chapter, but I didn't do anything. Mainly because I haven't even tried all my Necromancy spells yet and I am not too sure if I would like to go down this path yet.

I went out of my subconscious and walked back to my hotel room. Tomorrow is the day I start training with Professor Flitwick and I want to relax before that.

The room was luxurious, it is a presidential suite, 4000 square feet, with a pool and even a bowling alley. I surely am gonna get Hermoine and Harry here to thrash them in a round or two of bowling.

I then just relaxed in my suite. Played bowling, swam a little, watched a movie inside my bathroom while showering on my bath tub. Yes, I have a TV in my bathroom.

It was honestly amazing, and I am definitely going to be able to live such a life. Whenever I build my own houses, TV's are going to be everywhere.

Obviously magically enhanced ones. can't have them shattering due to magic and technology not mixing.

I then went to fall asleep on my king-sized bed after having a wonderful meal through room service. Wow, tonight was awesome. Did you know room service is 24hours for people in the Presidential suite, I am so gonna exploit that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up early morning and went to the Romping Shack. Seems like Hogwarts didn't have a lot of budget. The place was really dusty and old. Sigh, I might just ask the three of them to stay with me.

I was really excited for two reasons today. One being I can finally duel with Professor and gain combat experience and two because I will be meeting with the cast of suits later today.

I don't have an appointment with them, but I am pretty sure I am famous in the muggle world by now. My face should be everywhere, and a few or most of thesis should already be published. Well, I got a few of the magic folk to charm the people vetting my paper to make sure they release it as soon as possible.

By now, I should be the debate of the world. One of two things is probably happening.

Researchers either trying to drag my name through the mud, mainly because I am too young. Their argument is going to be, 'What can a young child know.' People like this probably haven't even read my researches and thesis properly.

The second thing is, people being shocked due to me revolutionizing the world. Majority will be the second. Why? Because most researches are smart, they would have realized that I published my thesis from the worlds best places and that they wouldn't have made a stupid mistake.

So with me being famous, and a little bit of magic I should be able to meet the suits cast. Wow, this is going to be fun.

As I went in I saw Professor waiting for me in a slightly location large. He seemed to have charmed the place so no one can see us four.

"Mr. Markus, now that you are here, let's get straight to it. Today, I will be teaching you the rules and basics of professional dueling," he said.

He then proceeded to draw a circle, then a bigger one surrounding it, and then another bigger one.

"The smallest circle, has a diameter of 10m, the medium sized 20m, and the largest 30m. For duels, the wizards will stand in the inner most circle and begin. When the duel starts your goal is to knock the opposing wizard out of the circle. When you knock a wizard back, you get 1 point. If you disarm a wizard, you either have a choice to move in 1 circle, or ask the opposing wizard to move out 1. If you are able to completely knock a wizard out of all three circles, you will gain 5 points. The ways to win is to either, get 15 points, knock the opposing wizard out or make them surrender." Professor Flitwick explained.

It was really interesting because there a certain tricks you can use as well. For example if you are in the 3rd circle and your opponent is in the 2nd, and you disarm them, you can either move into the 2nd circle, which is safe, or force the opposing wizard out, which is risky.

"The rules are that, killing is not allowed, using potions calls for disqualification and items that help you must be removed. But now, the rules have changed." He said.

"Now since Mr. Markus here has invented so many different types of offensive potions, the board in charge of the duelling committee had decided to allow potions that boost wizards to be used in a competition." Professor said.

Well this obviously changes the game, because my mana increasing potions will allow for longer matched, and stronger spells as well. There are also some younger wizards who are unable to cast spells some spells due to lack of mana, will be able to do so now.

"Also, due to including potions, a lot of people complained that if potions are allowed, items should also be allowed. So now, there will be a lot of new tactics which will be implemented, such as rings which can immediately cast a protego charm, etc. They also changed the potions rule, from using potions is an offence which will cause you to be disqualified, to using a potion to attack an opponent deducts 3 points."

Wow, so now they can even use offensive potions to attack people, if the cost is worth it that is.

"But, since I don't know the new way of duelling, I cannot help you there, but I can teach you the old way, which I still believe is important. Why? Because if you are unable to stay on your toes and cast spells quickly and efficiently, you will lose. Now Mr. Markus, how about a little duel." He said while waiting in the innermost circle.

I entered the circle thinking,' Alright, I shouldn't be able to win, but getting 8 or so points should be possible.'

"Good luck Shawn," Hermoime and Harry shouted.

After we both entered the circle, we bowed.

We both held our wands waiting for the smallest movements, but I couldn't wait long. 'Bombardo.'

It was chantless, but probably due to my wrist movements the professor immediately knew the spell and cast a 'Protego' spell, and an 'Locomotor Morris.'

I also dodged the spell and casted another 'Bombardo' onto the floor near the professor, which caused some of the stone, and dust to fly up.

While the stone was in the air I transfigured the stone into chains to catch the professor, but as that was happening, I saw him run out of the dust and cast 'Immobulus', 'stupefy' and 'expelliarmus' back to back.

THREE SPELLS AT ONCE, WHAT THE HELL!

It's probably due to the amount of mana he kept into the spells but they were 3 times as effective. The Immobulus hit me like a truck, I couldn't even move an inch, followed by the expelliarmus which knocked my wand out of my hand, and then the stupefy which pushed me all the way out of the three circles.

"That's 3 points for leaving all the circles, and then an additional 5 more. I disarmed you but there is no need nor way for either of us to move a circle, since you are out and I have not left, so I get one more point. 9 points in one go." Professor smiled at me and said.

I ended up losing 15-0 three times in a row. FUCK, I got thrashed around.

Sigh, I need to humble myself a little.
