Though Uzumaki Kushina didn't understand everything, she sensed that this matter was connected to her.

With that playful remark from Tsunade, Kushina's face turned a deep red, looking awkwardly between Tsunade and Mito.
Elder Mito, watching this warm scene, smiled and shook her head, her thoughts turning to everything that had recently happened—especially how Tsunade had nearly lost her life on the front lines. A grave expression clouded her face.

However, she kept certain things to herself: the specifics of Nawaki's situation, Uchiha Yosuke's role, and how they acquired this intelligence. She even refrained from mentioning what happened in the Land of Grass to avoid worrying her grandmother.
Upon hearing that Mito and Tsunade had already obtained part of the intelligence yet were still outmaneuvered, Kushina's face showed shock.
"Is it possible?" she stammered, fear gripping her as she tried to digest that those responsible were possibly within the village.
To her, the Leaf was a place of warmth, and she'd hoped to call it her home. But now, she saw the shadows cast by that sunshine.
Seeing Kushina's shock, Tsunade sneered sarcastically.
"Just some conniving old folks."
After going after Nawaki and then herself, Tsunade knew Kushina would be the next target.
"Kushina, you were once a princess of the Land of Whirlpools. You should understand that without power, your life is rarely in your control. Right now, Grandmother and I are trying to give you a choice."
"That jutsu in your hands represents a choice, and it's up to you what you do with it."
Tsunade's voice remained calm as she spoke of the darkness in the village, describing the current situation.
Elder Mito's expression grew somber. If Hashirama were still here, none of this would be happening.
"Kushina, the village wants to send Tsunade to the Land of Rain. Though it seems intended to ease tensions, given the recent events, we have every reason to be wary."
Kushina understood. The Senju clan had their own intelligence network, giving them insights that even the Third Hokage and his supporters lacked.
"Tsunade, do you mean… I'm the next target?"
Kushina swallowed hard, feeling a surge of unease.
Tsunade, with a bitter smile, replied, "They've dared to plot against the First Hokage's grandchildren. Of course, you, as an outsider, would be a target too."
"With the intelligence we've gathered, the Senju can't afford to give up on keeping the Nine-Tails' power close."
Elder Mito gently stroked Kushina's red hair, her gentle face tinged with sadness.
"Kushina, forgive your grandmother's selfishness."

Tsunade looked gravely at Mito, who smiled proudly.
"Tsunade, sealing techniques from the Uzumaki clan aren't so easily broken. Don't worry—I'll hand over the Nine-Tails to the village, but at the same time, the Senju will ensure we have our own source of deterrence."
As Mito held Kushina close, she gently stroked her granddaughter's smooth red hair with a compassionate smile.
