A black-haired, curly-headed figure excitedly raised the long knife in his hand, gesturing toward the man nailed to the cross, searching for the right angle to strike.
Ignoring the urging of the people behind him, he finally picked a spot and was just about to stab the knife in, when to his surprise, the person on the cross vanished with the wind. Stunned, he rubbed his eyes and shouted in disbelief,
"Hey, hey, hey! I haven't even made my move yet!"
Seeing their target disappear, each of the Uchiha clones started coming up with their own excuses, throwing blame at each other. The Tsukuyomi space quickly became as noisy as a bustling marketplace.
"Why is it so loud?"
Uchiha Gin, who had just sent Uchiha Igaku off, didn't even have time to mourn the old man before the clones in his Tsukuyomi space started causing chaos, giving him a splitting headache.
The situation with the old man was pretty much settled. Now, only his controlled uncle outside remained. Once he dealt with him, the mission would be complete, and he could go back to brushing up on his skills and maybe give that little Senju brat a spanking.
With that thought, the entire Tsukuyomi space began to collapse. The Uchiha clones, realizing their end was near, grew even louder in their complaints.
"No! Who knows when we'll get out next time?"
"Don't count on it. The original body is so weak. We peaked at the start, and now it's all downhill."
"Boohoo, I want to cry."
"Damn it! Where did this girly clone come from?"
"Bro, you smell amazing~"
"Get lost!"
With a face full of black lines, Uchiha Gin accelerated the collapse, not wanting to witness his bizarre clones any longer.
The windmill-like patterns in his eyes slowly faded, turning back into the ordinary three-tomoe Sharingan. His Tsukuyomi experience card had expired, but in exchange, he gained an old man's transformation device—a pretty good deal.
The scene shifted back to reality. Although what felt like a long time had passed in the Tsukuyomi, only a moment had gone by in the outside world.
The transformed Uchiha Igaku fell from the sky, his armor shattered, and the mask on his face slowly peeled away, revealing the old man's aged face beneath.
Quick to react, Uchiha Gin caught the falling body. Looking at the peaceful expression on Uchiha Igaku's face, he sighed lightly, pulled a storage scroll from his pouch, and sealed the still-warm body inside.
"Old man, you're lucky to have such a diligent grandson to collect your body."
He rubbed his sore right eye and added,
"For the sake of the transformation device, I'll pick you a nice burial spot. On the first and fifteenth of every month, I'll burn something nice for you."
With his side of things taken care of, Gin began to wonder how Hikari was doing. Could she hold her own? After all, their uncle was the top fighter in the clan. He hoped she wasn't being beaten too badly.
"Boom!!!"
Just as Uchiha Gin was about to go look for the others, something shot toward him like a cannonball.
Startled, Uchiha Gin twisted his body and narrowly dodged the attack, which slammed into the ground behind him, leaving a massive crater.
Having barely escaped, Gin patted his chest in relief and couldn't help but complain,
"Who's so inconsiderate, throwing trash around like this? It's fine if it hits me, but what if it ruins the flowers and plants?"
"Gin! Are you okay?"
A girl's joyful voice rang out. Turning around, he saw Hikari in her dark green cloak, her face lit up with excitement as she looked at him.
"Hikari? You're not hurt, are you? How did you get away from Uncle?"
Suspiciously eyeing the girl, who seemed completely unharmed, Uchiha Gin asked curiously.
Wasn't she supposed to be holding off their uncle? Did she run away from the fight?
And where was their uncle, anyway?
"You little brat! How are you so strong?!"
An enraged voice interrupted from behind him. Crawling out of the crater was their disheveled uncle, Uchiha Tajima, gasping for breath. He continued,
"If only I could use this guy's Mangekyō Sharingan, I wouldn't be in this state!"
At this moment, Uchiha Tajima's body was controlled by a dark persona created by Ame-no-Uzume. Unable to free himself from the black sludge covering him, the dark persona chose to submit, temporarily forming an alliance with the intruder.
"Shut up! This kid's eyes are far more powerful than yours. Even if you could use the Mangekyō, you wouldn't be a match for her."
The Black Zetsu, fully aware of the girl's Mangekyō Sharingan origins, scolded Uchiha Tajima, who was about to strike again. How could he talk big after being kicked around by a little girl?
"Damn it! I'm the head of the Uchiha clan. How can I run away?!"
Having waited in the shadows for so long, the dark persona, who had finally seized control of Tajima's body, was furious. He thought he would be invincible once he emerged, but instead, he found himself being beaten senseless by a mere girl.
"Uchiha Gin? Where's that old bastard Uchiha Igaku? Did he run off in secret?"
The dark persona's sharp eyes noticed Uchiha Gin talking with the girl, surprised to see him still alive. Shouldn't he have been killed by the darkened Uchiha Igaku by now?
"Uchiha Gin! You must die!"
The darkened Tajima's obsession with Gin stemmed from the fact that he hadn't saved his wife and children years ago.
Seeing Gin standing before him, the enraged Tajima, surrounded by black energy, charged forward despite the black sludge holding him back.
"Gin, watch out!"
The girl, who had been happily chattering away, saw the blackened Tajima rushing toward them. She shouted a warning and her eyes transformed into a beautiful but eerie pattern.
Seeing the design in her eyes, Uchiha Gin suddenly recalled that it was this girl's Yasaka Spear mark on his hand that had saved him from Amaterasu during an attack from the backyard.
"Amaterasu!"
With a flash in her eyes, black flames burst from the ground, and with a wave of her hand, the flames transformed into several spears, all aimed at the darkened Tajima.
"Damn it! Not this again."
Just a moment ago, Tajima had looked down on the frail-looking girl, even though he knew she had the Mangekyō Sharingan. He scoffed at her, thinking her no threat.
A mere child dares to show off in front of me?
But in their first exchange, Tajima had been blasted by her Amaterasu and was nearly burned to death. Thanks to the Black Zetsu's help, he barely survived, avoiding becoming the first casualty of Amaterasu in the ninja world.
"Fool! Dodge!"
The dark persona controlling Tajima was furious. Seeing Tajima not even trying to avoid the incoming attack, he nearly gave up.
While the Black Zetsu, as a product of Yin-Yang Release, could withstand Amaterasu, it still hurt. Being burned wasn't exactly pleasant, and it frustrated him to be attached to such an idiot.
He forced Tajima's body to dodge the black flames enhanced by Kagutsuchi and landed a distance away from Gin and the girl, deep in thought.
The black flames, missing their target, were swiftly extinguished with a wave of the girl's hand, leaving only the scent of charred air.
Black Zetsu was now feeling quite stressed. His original plan was to let the two sides fight it out while he controlled Tajima and took advantage of the situation, eliminating the weakened survivors. Then, he could return to the Uchiha clan and continue his quest to save his mother.
After all, none of these Mangekyō Sharingan users carried Indra's reincarnation chakra, so they were of no use to him. He only needed to keep the most valuable one alive.
Based on his observations, Tajima's two sons had a high chance of awakening the Mangekyō. One of them might even be Indra's reincarnation, and possessing their father's body would give him better control over them.
But now, his plan had hit a snag. Uchiha Igaku, whom he had controlled for so long, failed to kill Gin and had disappeared. Meanwhile, the body he possessed was being easily handled by a seemingly insignificant girl.
"This is too much to bear!~~~"
Watching the darkened Tajima standing far away, Gin's eyes flashed with thought. He turned to the girl, who looked indignant, and remembering her Mangekyō's abilities, he suddenly had an idea.
"Hikari, in a bit, why don't you treat Uncle to a few rounds of Tsukuyomi? Let him experience some real fun."
