Capítulo 52: Chapter 52: An Appropriate Response

"Koushin, anything planned for today?" Shin asked his servant as he finished enjoying breakfast with Pineapple.

"Yes My lord, Lord Inoue has invited you to an archery practice with his friends." replied the middle aged man.

"Alight, anything else?" Shin got up and went to the backyard of the mension, his servant and pineapple in tow behind him.

"No my lord, nothing else for today." bowed the man as Shin dismissed him before sitting down next to a table. A piece of scented parchment and writing materials ready for him.

Shin picked up the brush and spoke up before he started to write, "You must have missed me very much to come all the way to the capital."

"I thought living the noble life would have made you rusty, guess I had nothing to worry about." a figure appeared on the rooftop before flickering next to him, "what's this? Writing a report on rice?" Kakashi mused.

"No, I am flirting." Shin replied as he started to write.

"With a letter?" Kakashi asked in confusion.

"That's how the nobles do it, not that I expect a peasant like you to understand." Shin bit back.

"Hai hai, whatever you say Hirano sama." Kakashi said in a mocking tone.

There was a silence as the only sound in the backyard was of the brush moving over the parchment before Kakashi finally spoke up in a grim tone, "Takigakure is gone."

Shin's hand halted as his eyes went wide. The ink dropped from the brush and ruined the parchment. Shin put down the brush as he asked in a serious tone, "Akatsuki?"

Kakashi nodded, "Jiraiya sama is pursuing them right now and the rest of the kage have also decided to dispatch teams and create channels of communication between the ninja villages."

Shin remained silent as his mind spun, 'It seems they have grown restless and have decided to take the tailed beasts by force. I guess the beast killer pushed them too far when I decided to get 2 more tailed beasts then necessary. Not to mention there had not been any news of them rearticulating which has made them even more worried. They've stopped pulling punches.'

Shin rested his back against the chair as he looked towards Kakashi, "And I suppose the hokage wants me to help track them down."

Kakashi nodded, "Technically Konoha no longer has any jurisdiction over you but you know that threat the Akatsuki present. They've already destroyed two ninja villages, Konoha might be next."

Shin nodded, "Alright, I'll leave tomorrow."

Kakashi thanked and left, he didn't have time to waste as the entire ninja population had been deployed to search for the akatsuki members. Shin pet Pineapple as he was in deep thought, 'I suppose I should get rid of some troublesome people while I am at it.'

Shin got a new parchment and started his letter anew, he was really not much of a writer but head some inspirations so he wrote a few words:

Every passing moment is one of longing

Every passing day is one of waiting

Every passing night is one of dreams of you

Until we meet again, I shall meet you everyday

In my dreams of you.

"Koushin!" Shin called for his servant as he came running. Shin handed him the folded parchment, "For the princess Youhi, deliver it personally."

"Yes My lord." Bowed the servant before leaving towards the palace.

Later in the afternoon, Shin decided to attend the archery practice since he was called by the young lord Inoue who was to be the 1st son-in-law of the daimyo. Shin knew of the 26 year old man's loose reputation and had no doubt he had called Shin to gang up on him with the backing of his friends.

The archery practice would take place in one of the estates surrounding the capital, it was just a little way off and from the hearsay on the street, the place where the young lord Inoue hung out with friends to burn money on drugs and women.

Shin received a rather warm welcome by the man that looked 10 years older than he was, was 3 quarters bald and only had hair on the top of his head which had been tied up. This hairstyle was the traditional way of noble men, something Shin didn't adopt neither had he any intention to do so in the future.

"Ohh~ Lord Hirano welcome~" the man bared his blackened teeth while introducing his pose. Young lord Inoue wore a loose Jinbei and had the traditional hair Chonmage, his compatriots were nearly identical to him in dressing and hairstyle, the only difference being in the color of the clothes.

After a round of vain greetings, Young lord Inoue quickly went to the heart of the matter, "I am so glad you accepted my invitation. Archery is a simple hobby we share. I don't think Lord Hirano is very familiar with it but please give it a try!"

The man "Helpfully" demonstrated by shooting an arrow, hitting close to the center, before he pushed Shin to Shoot, handing him a bow.

Shin didn't care much for his provocations so he picked an arrow and shot it at the target, the result was him overshooting it and missing the mark by nearly a whole meter to the top left. The young lords burst into laughter as Inoue shushed them down while wearing a mocking smile, "Oh I'm sure the bow is more difficult to handle compared to the small weapons you are used to~" his mockery ensued another round of laughter.

Shin instead of replying was genuinely interested in archery as he had never done this before.so he nook another arrow and released it.

*Thuk*

It hit the lower right edge on the target. The young lords looked around at their boss as a sense of apprehension started to grow in their hearts. Inoue decided to speak up as Shin reached for another arrow, "W-well, Lord Hirano sure is lucky, usually-"

*Thuk*

The arrow hit an inch off dead center but to everyone concerned, it might as well have been a bullseye.

"A-a lucky shot!" yelled one of the nobles but the growing feeling of uncertainty could not be so easily dispelled and Shin shot another arrow.

*Thuk*

Deadcenter.

Shin picked up the last arrow next to him and shot it in a casual motion.

*Zzziii* *Think*

The arrow cut through the one in the center and hit the metal arrow head.

Satisfied, Shin smiled and put down the bow before turning to the young nobles, "Lord Inoue was right, it really is very simple indeed. Perhaps we can try something a little more… real the next time." Shin grinned at the men as they reeled in from an abruptly passing sense of fear.

"I'll see you at the wedding then, Lord Inoue." Shin flickered away for effect as the noblemen turned and twisted their necks in search for him.

Shin didn't have time to waste on these chickens, he was on the hunt after many long months and he had no intention of coming back empty-handed. Shin looked at his stats in satisfaction, just because he had a life of luxury now didn't mean he slacked on his training. In fact, without the waste of time from his missions, Shin now had more time to train and his stats reflected it clearly.

Shin was now simply a walking disaster, he could flatten cities with ease and without the need to utilize any of the tailed beast chakra or chi. And since he often spent time in the other world, he was technically older than his age and the status showed his real biological age because as far as this world was concerned, Shin was still only 14. However, due to the massive amounts of life force inside him, Shin's body had grown to the size of an adult's.

Now there was only one thing that bothered him.

Pineapple had hit her limits and could no longer progress any further. The cat made it this far due to Shin's influence and the use of chi to forcefully utilize the biological potential of her body but this was all that could be done. Shin sighed as he looked at his loyal companion, 'Assal, stop everything else, focus on Pineapple. I want a way to increase her potential as soon as possible.'

[Acknowledged.]

............…

Shin made his way northwards, he knew there were no Akatsuki members active in this area but Shin was never after the Akatsuki anyways. He made his way to the land of Rice fields, there had been rumors of a newly established ninja village there and Shin knew exactly who was responsible for it.

It would seem that the Lady of fortune favored him today as he caught the scent of a snake within the day. Shi followed it and spotted two travelers sporting straw hats and gray cloaks. Shin didn't need to use his system to know who it was, he could feel the vile energy emanating from him.

 [Name: Orochimaru (Snake Demon)

Level: 155

Title: Traitor of Konoha/ Legendary Sannin/ Leader of Otogakure

Notice: Biological signature is inconsistent with humans.]

'Looks like he has fully evolved into a monster now.'

Shin sat down on one of the tall tree branches, his legs dangling as he rested his back on the tree beside him, "My o my! Isn't this a surprise. I have to say, this is definitely an improvement over the last time we met." Shin gave his opening remarks as the two travelers stopped.

The two figures looked up as a pale faced woman looked up at Shin and chuckled, "Kukuku, This is a surprise indeed. I had thought everyone would be chasing after the Akatsuki, but I didn't expect to find the black cat of Konoha all the way out here, or is it lord of the rice now?" she mocked with glee as she hung her tongue out.

Shin gave her companion a glance, it was Kabuto and hardly worth the effort. Shin turned his attention back to the snake, "Creepy as always aren't you, but I am getting a very weird boner for some reason… Wanna smash?"

"Kukuku, you have grown more arrogant since we last met haven't you. I should have just taken you at that time, no matter… Now is as good a time as any." she threatened with a dangerous glint in her eyes. Clearly Shin's words had angered her but she was not so easily provoked.

Shin sighed as he got up, "It's a real pity, you are definitely a crazy 8 out of 10. Ah well, guess I'll just have to settle for a head instead." Shin smirked as a sword appeared in a puff of smoke. It was the new and improved Chokoto that had been enhanced using chi techniques by Master mantis.

Shin unsheathed his sword and instantly lightning started to crackle around him as he addressed the snake, "Don't worry, I'll even give you a handicap, no natural energy." The tree branch cracked under his feet from the intense energy but before he could move, Orochimaru sent several kunais flying towards him like bullets from a machine gun. Shin flickered and disappeared in a flash before appearing on the ground and rushing up to Orochimaru.

Shin flashed right next to Orochimaru and slashed at him, the sword cutting through him like butter or rather mud and Orochimaru turned into mud.

*swish*

Shin turned to evade the kunais sent by Kabuto but before he could retaliate a snake flew from behind, opening its mouth to brandish a sword at Shin.

Shin easily deflected the sword but had to turn around to defend against another incoming attack from Kabuto. Shin quickly made one handed seals and breathed out a massive storm that threw Kabuto into the distance. Shin had bought himself time to get out of this pincer situation.

Shin was fighting against a sannin and a jonin without the use of chi so naturally it was a hard battle for him, regardless, Shin Wanted to test his limits.

Orochimaru controlled his tongue snake to attack Shin with his sword. Shin was surprised at the strength behind the sword strikes but it was not enough to keep him down for long. With a powerful burst of speed, Shin sent the sword flying and quickly used his free hand to make several seals and spit out air bullets that sped towards Orochimaru but the snake swirled and bent as it she had no bones in her body and expertly dodged the air bullets that instead ripped through the surrounding trees.

"Khekhekhe, come now. This battle is never going to end at this rate, why don't we step it up a bit hm?" the snake smiled as she bit her thumb and slammed her hands on the ground. In a puff of smoke, a giant snake appeared and immediately bit towards Shin.

Shin clicked his tongue and flickered away, "Giant summons are so cool… Where is Lei when you need him?" Shin missed his panda friend. Not having a summon to assist him was a weakness but one that he hadn't felt until now.

'It would be much easier if I could use bamboo style, no matter, it's good practice.' Shin commented as he tried to figure out a path to victory. 'I need some wide range and destructive jutsu to create an opening and take one of them down. Guess I'll have to use that one…' Shin thought.

While Shin was deliberating, Kabuto had already returned to Orochimaru's side, "I guess his reputation is not unwarranted." the ninja commented.

"Anyone that can take down one of the Akatsuki is a difficult opponent, even if he had Jiraiya's help. Not to mention, the child is a sensor so hiding will be useless." the snake instructed her protege who nodded in understanding.

Orochimaru's attention was diverted to the giant snake she had summoned, the creature licked the air while hissing, causing Orochimaru to become cautioned, "He is probably planning something, be vigilant, I might not be able to protect you." she warned, causing Kabuto to tense while looking at the surrounding trees for any sign of trouble.

The duo remained vigilant for nearly half a minute but nothing happened, "Maybe he escaped?" suggested Kabuto.

"The best hunter Konoha ever produced? Unlikely…" Her eyes narrowed and suddenly her instincts blared as she yelled at Kabuto to jump. No sooner had they left the ground that it caught fire, the fire spread instantly, causing a massive explosion that engulfed the gaint snake, blasting it away, the shockwave hitting the escaping duo as they too got swept away with Orochimaru grabbing onto one of Kabuto's arms with a snake to make sure he didn't get swept away.

*BOOOM!*

The forest caught fire as the massive explosion died out, Orochimaru and Kabuto landed nearly a kilometer away as the latter asked in shock, "What just happened!?"

"Some form of undetectable gas that is highly flammable, interesting khukhukhu." Orochimaru chuckled, finding their circumstances amusing, much to her servant's dismay.

Just as they had gotten their bearings, they saw blue lightning streaking towards them at incredible speeds, slashing towards them from a distance as several wind blades made of lightning shot towards them.

Orochimaru pushed Kabuto away as she dodged, just in time for Shin to bring down his sword at her head but Shin only ended up cutting another mud clone but he wasn't bothered as he immediately turned and sent several slashes towards Kabuto who failed to dodge them and lost an arm.

"I hope you haven't forgotten about me!" Orochimaru contested for his attention by sending a snake towards him with a sword, Shin swatted it away like before, "You really think it would work on me twice?" Shin mocked.

"Of Course not." Smirked Orochimaru as two snakes emerged from beneath Shin's feet and wrapped him tightly.

Shin looked at Orochimaru and smiled, "Yah, me neither." before disappearing into a puff of smoke but before Orochimaru could locate him, a scream sounded from the direction of his disciple.

Kabuto had a sword impaling him from behind as lightning burned him inside out until only charred flesh remained.

Seeing his student Orochimaruclicked his tongue, "You used a shadow clone to distract me while your real target was Kabuto… quite sinister of you." her face twisted in anger. She could no longer take this easy, Kabuto could be replaced but Shin had proven himself to be a dangerous opponent, she could not allow him to escape and grow stranger.

Lightning flashed and Shin shot towards her. Orochimaru's face grew serious as she waved her arms and a massive tornado appeared between them, unrooting and drawing the surrounding trees into it. Orochimaru took the opportunity to gain some distance, 'He is fast, I have to keep my distance.'

Orochimaru jumped back several meters but as soon as she landed on the ground her expression twisted, 'Below!?' She jumped up as a fist tore through the round and just missed her but before she could breathe in relief, Shin slashed his sword upwards. Orochimaru was fast enough to avoid the blade but not the lightning that came with it.

Lightning traveled from the edge of the blade and shot Orochimaru through the forest. Shin flickered, chasing after Orochimaru.

When Shin caught up to him, he saw Orochimaru crawl out of herself, "Should've accepted my offer to smash, would have been much simpler." Shin spoke to the newly regenerated Orochimaru who didn't find his antics funny.

"I never thought someone would be able to master Fujio's jutsu to such an extent!" the snake remarked before shooting numerous snakes from her sleeves.

Shin saw the snakes and smiled, "Do you know what the most appropriate response is to seeing a creepy crawly in your house?" Shin's face split into a smirk as he continued, "It's to burn down the house!" He quickly weaved hand signs while breathing in before letting out a great tsunami of blue fire. The fire spread like water, drowning everything in flames, turning trees into charcoal and even melting the ground into magma.

The blue fire spread out for nearly a kilometer before it died out and a massive updraft caused by the intense fire caused the surrounding winds to rush in, raising ash and dust high into the sky akin to an ashen pillar reaching for the sky.

Among the ash and fire on the ground, was a charred husk, 'Tsk, he escaped underground…' Shin clicked his tongue. 'No matter, he is still within range.' Shin stood still observing the effects of his jutsu in satisfaction, 'yup, this seems like an appropriate response to seeing a pest.' he nodded in satisfaction.

When Shin had realized Assal could create anything, he got the idea to make his fire style more efficient by constantly adding more oxygen into the fire jutsu, causing it to burn hotter and faster. As Shin didn't want to cheat, he had implanted a seal inside his cheek to release the oxygen at a set pace but it only had a limited supply so Shin could only use this a few more times.

Shin had already used it once before by releasing oxygen and igniting it afterwards, since it was odorless and colorless, it worked as a good tactic for ambush.

Shin flickered away from the scene of devastation, speeding towards the escaping snake. She was easy enough to find as Shin could sense her from miles away but she was moving underground so Shin slammed his hands onto the ground as earth spikes started to impale her, leaving her with no other choice but to come above ground.

Orochimaru emerged aboveground with a battered expression, her clothes had been ripped and she was injured in several places. "Don't think this is the end boy! I will kill you for this!" she spoke with hatred, staring daggers at Shin.

Shin just smiled at her, "You shouldn't have invested so many points in vitality, instead have some attacking stats too!" Shin gave her some helpful advice.

Orochimaru however just seemed annoyed, 'I didn't think I'd have to use that technique against this brat!' She started to weave hand signs as a wooden coffin started to raise from the ground, causing Shin's eyes to widen.

As soon as Shin saw the glimpse of the coffin rising from the ground, he flickered, even using chi to enhance his speed and leaving behind a sonic boom. In an instant he arrived next to Orochimaru and stabbed his sword right through her, using massive amounts of chi to electrocute her.

As the snake writhed in pain Shin spoke in a reprimanding tone, "That was dangerous… sorry, but I can't let you use that technique." Shin's eyes turned red as he activated his mangekyou Sharingan and invaded her mind.

Orochimaru possessed a plethora of knowledge and Shin didn't wish to let it all goto waste, afterall he might even find something to help Pineapple.

Shin and Orochimaru stood in the middle of the field, their eyes seemingly eternally locked with each other, gazing into each other's souls without any care of the world.

After what felt like eons, Orochimaru finally fell down and Shin sighed, "Thank you for your contributions, rest knowing your death had value to me." Shin created several clones and dispersed them through the world to destroy everyone and everything related to Orochimaru; he didn't want her to have any chance of coming back.

Shin also dispersed one of the clones to Konoha to inform them of this incident and hand over the locations of a few unimportant bases that would be looted well before someone from Konoha came to check them.

"Two down, two to go." Shin counted before disappearing in a flash of lightning.

So I'm thinking of writting in more detail, not to strech things out but because I feel like the story is not getting across as well as I want it to.

Do you think this works?

Also, Look at Shin! being all romantic and stuff!

Honestly, female Orochimaru is kinda bad! *wink wink*
