Not long after, Uchiha Itachi arrived, and after a brief exchange between a loving father and a filial son, Fugaku accepted his fate. With tears in his eyes, he allowed Itachi to take his life with the butcher's knife.
Kirito observed the entire process from the sidelines. After Fugaku's death, Kirito used Kyōka Suigetsu to transform a crow, which he had prepared earlier outside the house, into his own image. He then appeared before Itachi and asked, "Itachi, Danzo had promised to let Izumi go. Why did you kill her?"
Hearing this, Itachi was startled. Without hesitation, he vanished from the house and reappeared outside. Knowing that basic Sharingan illusions were ineffective against Kirito, Itachi immediately used his Mangekyō Sharingan's ultimate genjutsu, Tsukuyomi, intending to break Kirito's mind and kill him with a swift strike.
The real Kirito, however, took this moment to collect Uchiha Fugaku's body.
[System prompt: Special bloodline and Mangekyō Sharingan detected. Would you like to extract it?]
"Extract," Kirito said without hesitation.
[Extraction complete. Would you like to absorb it?]
"Not yet." Kirito wanted to save it for later. He needed a second Mangekyō Sharingan to awaken the Eternal Mangekyō, so absorbing it now wouldn't be beneficial.
Kirito placed Fugaku's body back in its original spot, maintaining the illusion that his eyes were intact with Kyōka Suigetsu's effect. Itachi remained completely unaware of what had transpired, as he was still under Kirito's hypnotic illusion.
After "killing" Kirito, Itachi, in agony from using Tsukuyomi, covered his left eye and returned to the house to wait for his next target.
Meanwhile, outside the house, Zetsu (both Black and White halves) and Obito watched in surprise as Kirito's "corpse" lay on the ground.
"Is this real? Kirito's actually dead?" White Zetsu exclaimed.
Having witnessed Kirito slaughter the Sarutobi clan, White Zetsu was shocked. Other than Pain's Rinnegan, Kirito had no real equals in the ninja world.
"We're too late," Black Zetsu added. "To defeat Kirito, Itachi must have used the power of his Mangekyō Sharingan."
Obito, however, remained calm, pride swelling in him over the power of the Uchiha clan.
Just as he was about to say something, a teasing voice spoke near his ear:
"Who did you just say was dead?"
Without warning, a hand landed on Obito's shoulder. He quickly shifted into his intangible state, jumping back to put distance between himself and Kirito. Zetsu instinctively retreated into the ground.
"Hey, we're all on the same side, so why react so strongly? Can't you trust me a little?" Kirito said, spreading his hands in mock helplessness.
White Zetsu, re-emerging from the ground, gasped. "Kirito, weren't you dead?"
"Who told you that?" Kirito replied with a knowing grin.
"What's with that body?" Black Zetsu asked, inspecting the "corpse." "It looks exactly like you—chakra and all."
"The most important thing for a ninja is information. As I don't dig into your secrets, you won't be getting this one from me," Kirito responded with a smile, turning to Obito. "So, is everything sorted?"
"It is. If you have no more business here, come with us. There are still a few things to arrange with Itachi. We'll wait for him outside the village," Obito said, though his growing fear of Kirito was clear.
Not only did Kirito possess formidable abilities, but he also had lifelike clones that could fool even Zetsu and Obito's perceptions. He was far more dangerous than Itachi, even with the Mangekyō Sharingan.
"I still have some things to handle here," Kirito replied. "You go on ahead. And by the way, don't take that 'corpse' with you. If you like it, I'll make one for each of you. No charge."
With that, Kirito donned an ANBU mask and vanished.
As Kirito disappeared, Black Zetsu asked Obito, "What's the plan, Madara?"
"Let's go," Obito said, his face grim under the mask. His body began to twist and disappear into the Kamui dimension.
Black Zetsu followed, merging with the ground.
Meanwhile, Sarutobi Hiruzen sat in his office, waiting for a report from his son, Shinnosuke. His son, along with Danzo and the ANBU, had gone to the Uchiha district to carry out orders related to the clan's demise.
Suddenly, an ANBU ninja appeared—not his son, nor his daughter-in-law, but a different squad captain. He knelt before Hiruzen and, with a panicked tone, reported, "Hokage-sama, Shinnosuke-sama…"
"What about Shinnosuke?" Hiruzen stood up abruptly.
"The entire team led by Shinnosuke-sama has been killed, including Lady Shizuka. Three of them were beheaded, one pierced through the chest, and Shinnosuke-sama… he was slashed across the chest and died on the spot."
Boom!
Sarutobi Hiruzen felt like he had been struck by lightning. His legs gave way, and he collapsed into his chair, nearly fainting from shock.
In less than fifteen minutes, Hiruzen, along with his ANBU, arrived at the gates of the Uchiha compound.
Meanwhile, Danzo, ever the schemer, made his way to the Konoha Police Headquarters, eager to retrieve a new Sharingan for himself, though his grief over his lost operatives was evident.
Hiruzen, upon seeing the bodies—including his son and daughter-in-law—was overwhelmed with sorrow. His son had been nearly sliced in half, his chest cut so deeply that only his spine and a thin layer of flesh held him together. His eyes, wide open in terror, seemed to reflect the horror he had faced in his final moments.
