Kenji spent the next three years in the academy, laying low. There were no more nail-biting fights against other geniuses. Nor was he performing extraordinarily in any other aspect.
It wasn't until he was 7 when he began training in ninjutsu. Learning the jutsu taught by the academy and some additional ones such as; bushin, henge, kawarimi, tree climbing, water walking, chakra strings, rope escape, and fukumi hari (shooting senbon from mouth).
After gaining mastery in them, higher variations of certain jutsu were unlocked. These were: Shadow clone jutsu, shuriken shadow clone jutsu, rasengan and making his chakra threads as hard as ninja wire.
He started with suiton when it came to training his nature affinity as it was his primary affinity. His progress was very fast as he did not need scrolls from the library to learn jutsu. They were already available in his skill tree. He just had to reach certain mastery to unlock them.
His mastery in suiton had increased to such an extent that he didn't need any hand seals to perform jutsu up to B-rank. Sadly, he couldn't practice the more destructive ones as he was inside the village.
He then moved to his secondary element, wind. It wasn't difficult at all with the 5000% boost. He became skilled enough to transform his chakra threads to wind element and have ten invisible razor-sharp whips at his fingertips. It was a deadly combination.
There wasn't a single bukijutsu left in which he hadn't achieved the master level. He certainly favored some weapons, such as tanto, chokuto, kunai, and quarterstaff, over the others.
He had no set style of bukijutsu. But it was deadly all the same.
In terms of taijutsu, he was second to none. After he had learned the shadow clone jutsu, his learning speed had soared. He became a grandmaster in both academy style and Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist. Even Maito Gai wasn't at that level.
While in class, he would sit in the back and doodle seals on an empty notebook. His maxed luck was truly a bessing when it came to learning seals. He made little errors and would soon eliminate those niggles in his technique.
He left no stone unturned. From esoteric arts of sealing, to healing, tracking, skinning, and even cooking, he left nothing untouched in his massive skill tree.

"Son, you need to rest!"
"Come on, dad! Just a few more. I'm sure I'll have a breakthrough today!"
Hattori sighed and shook his head. He couldn't complain. His son had far surpassed him in smithing at just a tender age of 9. It was somewhat embarrassing for Hattori who had nearly two decades of experience. To be bested by a kid who had been forging for merely 3 years, Hattori sighed again.
Kenji's crafted weapons were sold at the highest price in the village. It wasn't even close. There was only one bladesmith in the village who could rival Kenji and that was an old man in his 70s.
The family had lived in surplus for two years. They had expanded the forge, opened a weapon shop, and even hired apprentices. The young men were miffed when they got know that thwir teacher was a little kid. But all the nay sayers were quietened by the boy's ability.
His creations were a work of art. Shinobi of the likes of Namikaze Minato, the rising star of the war got his special kunai from Hattori's shop, and all those kunai were forged by Kenji.
The katanas he forged were sold as aesthetic masterpieces to rich merchants all over the Land of Fire. All of that achieved by a 9 year old kid who was still in the academy.
It was sad that Kenji would have less time to forge once he became a shinobi. Luckily, the family had enough in storage to last them a few years and Kenji agreed to leave a shadow clone behind unless he was sent on a mission outside the village.
Kenji was in a rush. Because he had finally gotten consent from his parents to graduate from the academy and become a genin.
Luckily, the third shinobi war had come to an end with Konoha's victory. Kenji's goal was accomplished. He had avoided being thrown into war and dying before his testicles began to grow in size in his ballsack.

At age 10, Kenji graduated from the academy as the class genius. He felt no need to hold back anymore. He needed good teammates who would allow him to quickly become a chunin so that he could go on solo missions to train his more destructive jutsu.
He was assigned to team 7, the accursed team that almost always had one teammate go dark and betray their loved ones. It was either that or only one teammate survived to become well known.
Kenji's team consisted of the Kunoichi of the year, Uchiha Kiyomi, and the class clown/loser, Inuzuka Kohaku. Together, the three made the KKK.
'That's so bad I love it!!'
It was a typical team of a brash loser, a pretty girl, and the silent, but deadly edgelord. Except, Kenji wasn't an edgelord.
The team leader was none other than Shirakumo Hayama, an elite jonin with incredible skill and analytical abilities. He was the perfect jonin to train young ninjas into capable fighters. A skilled tactician, Hayama was the quintessential team leader.
"Mimura Kenji, Uchiha Kiyomi, and Inuzuka Kohaku, follow me to training ground 7."
The KKK followed their teacher who grafually increased his traveling speed. Kenji was having no trouble with following him, but that could not he said for the other two. Hayama carefully took note of everything that his new genin did.
He was slightly intrigued with Kenji who was following him effortlessly. Choosing to further increase his speed, he once again took note of Kenji having no problem with keeping up.
No matter what tricks he tried to play to shake Kenji off, the boy was in hot pursuit. The other two had fallen behind a while ago. Noticing that, Kenji made two water clones that went back to help his teammates catch up.
Hayama took note of that as well. It was a good thing in his books. Looking after one's teammates was a big part of a successful mission. With the two been looked after, Hayama took the run up a notch.
It had become a chase than a follow.
In the end, Hayama and Kenji arrived at the training ground with the latter not being even slightly winded. His clones arrived soon after with a blushing Uchiha on one's back and an indignant Inuzuka hanging over the shoulder of the other like a sack of potatoes.
Hayama grinned as he looked at Kenji and said, "You're interesting. I don't think I'll mind teaching the three of you. Congratulations, you're officially genin."
