The first to groggily open his eyes was Kuroko and the moment he did he was assaulted by the sense of smell, ' This smells tasty' and as he enjoys his moment of peace he remember why he where he is.
Kushina looks at the child beside her in amusement, Years of shinobi work had hardened even her heart a little, but looking at the child reminded her of her younger days when she was in the academy, playing, eating and talking with her grandma Mito everybody.
'Yes, Mito, I still miss you grandma and wish you could have seen me and minato getting married, we even have discussed having a baby,I wish you could have been here'
The child on her thigh relaxes for a minute before opening his eyes instantaneously, The moment there eyes meet, Kushina could feel a smirk adorning her face.
'Genius or not,You are too cute' The red haired Kunoichi then quickly starts stretching Kuroko's cheek, The dangerous genins replaced into dumplings for the Jinjurichi of Konoha.
"sensei stop, please" The Hyuga genius barely able to form words tries to use physical force to push her hands away. Every action has consequences they say and they said right because the next moment Kushina just stretches them more ignoring the plight of the seven year old kid.
"C'mon now Kushina, leave the child be, He looks already tired enough"Says the man who comes to Kuroko's safety.
"Thank you uncle Teuchi" the Hyuga quickly says a few words of gratitude, 'Shinobi life sure is dangerous'.
"oh, you know me child"ask's the inquisitive ramen stand owner, he had never met the child before and just wanted to help him seeing his condition, not to say Kushina was like a child for him and seeing these kids were with Kushina made him trust them.
"I don't know you but I have heard of your ramen from my father, He says you make the best ramen in Konoha"
"Ha ha ha, your a good child, I will make the best ramen of your life today then" The stand owner then turns towards Kushina, "seeing as the other two are still asleep, you should wake them up, The food is almost ready.
Kuroko was attentively now looking towards Kushina seeing as to what technique will she use to wake them, ' will she circulate her chakra arounds their or maybe use medical ninjutsu or could it be she will use some other technique' but Kuroko's eyes bulge as he sees Kushina just flicking both of their foreheads hard.
Both young genin quickly open their eyes and rub their foreheads, the lingering pain still there.Kuroko himself rubs his forehead as if in trepidation of what could have had happened to him.
"ow, sensei why did you do that to me?" Shizu asks as with tears forming in her eyes and holding her still asleep dog.
"So we lost"Itachi lost in thought mumbles to himself but all present could hear it except maybe Teuchi.
"what did I do?" Kushina shamelessly then changes the topic," C'mon now my dumplings the food is ready, lets eat.
before Shizu could argue more, A rich aroma assaults team 7 as four plates with to the brim with ramen appears before them.
"Wait, Are we supposed to eat this much, sensei we are still just 7 years old." The Uchiha still shocked with the situation.
"what do you mean this much, This is my first bowl, isn't that right Teuchi" the jonin chuckles and dives into her miso ramen.
"I and shizu can eat this without dying but you, my condolences Itachi"

With their stomachs full, the genins went back to their homes and rested since the day after was a very important day, their first ever mission and even as a person with a adult mind, he was still pretty excited.

In the hokage office can be seen three genins awaiting their first mission from the hokage. Since it was a tradition for the Hokage to assign the first mission of every shinobi and them being Kushina's team entitled them to some special treatment.
'The fourth Hokage in the flesh, The yellow flash of konoha who took down 1000 Iwagakure shinobi on his own and helped Konoha won the fourth ninja war, Also the father of Naruto Uzumaki himself. To think I did meet him this soon'
"hokage-sama, please assign a mission to team 7" Our sensei said with a proud smile on her face, after being the wife of minato, seeing him fulfilling his dream of being the hokage contended her heart.
" Since you guys are in Kushina's team I will trust you guys with this extremely important task" The genin's heart thumped in anticipation of their first mission as ninjas," To rescue madam shijimi's cat" He ended his sentence with a smile and the genin's had their mouth hanging.
"You did that on purpose Hokage-sama"cried shizu beside me.
"ha ha ha, What did I do, This is an extremely important task shizu and I have entrusted you all with it, don't disappoint me okay?"
Shizu had no choice but to agree to the yellow flash who was having fun at out circumstances as if reminded of his first mission.
"yes hokage-sama"
"now lets get with the task team 7, I won't help you and I want to cat to be caught by evening otherwise I will pull all of your cheeks till I am satisfied." Kushina's threat worked wonder on the genins as they quickly excused themselves to catch that wretched cat.
With the Perception of the byakugan, Shizu amazing smelling and tracking senses and Itachi thinking, the young genins used their brains and brawn to complete the task.
