Naruto's Mind World
Naruto woke up after the sealing process in his mind and saw the figure of Shinigami. Confused and scared by the terrifying figure of the God of Death, Naruto asked,
"Who are you?""I am Shinigami," the figure replied in a loud voice.
Naruto, more confused than ever, stared at the strange figure. This was the first time he had seen anything like this. He had read fanfiction before, with stories focusing on the reincarnation of the main character in the Naruto world, but this was different. "May I ask you a few questions?" Naruto said hesitantly.
"Ask away," Shinigami replied."Where am I, and what is going on?" Naruto asked.
"You are in the Chakra branch of the omniverse, and your name is Naruto Uzumaki," Shinigami answered.
Naruto pondered for a moment. He had read fanfiction about reincarnations and different worlds.
"But what is this branch?
Chakra world?
Did I take over Naruto's body?
Then where is the original Naruto?
""So many questions, little one," Shinigami said with a smirk.
"Can you read my mind?" Naruto asked.
"Of course I can. It's not a big deal. I can see from your memories that you only know a few details about this world because of your previous knowledge. I will answer your queries," Shinigami replied.
"Listen carefully, boy. When a person dies, they are reincarnated based on their karma and state of mind. Usually, all their memories are removed, but sometimes, they remember their past life. I can remove your memories right now, but I will not do that.
""Why?" Naruto asked.Shinigami stared at Naruto and said, "I am not going to answer that. As for your other questions, there are multiple universes in existence, each divided into planes, also known as dimensions and timelines. And my boy, you are Naruto. You didn't take over his body; you were living inside Kushina's womb for months, and the body you inhabit is yours."Naruto still had many questions, but Shinigami continued, "One more thing. As I know the future, I will grant you a boon. So, ask away.""Do you help every reincarnation, or am I a special case?" Naruto asked.
"You are a special boy. You hold my mark. You possess a small part of my essence because of my seal. I want that power back.
No mortal can have the power of Death Authority. So, I will change that. Now tell me your wish.
"Ahh... I don't know what to ask for," replied Naruto."Very well, if you don't know what to ask, then I will grant you power over natural energy and runes. The power I granted to your Uzumaki ancestors. That power will lay dormant in your body for some time. Grow strong, my boy. I don't want to see you for the next 100 to 200 years."A bright light from Shinigami's hands reached Naruto and illuminated his mindscape, and he fell asleep.
