Capítulo 157: Chapter 157 - The world knows Minato Namikaze 02.

[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]

Third Person POV

Land of Sand, Year 38.

...

...

"Raikage-Sama... some news has arrived from the south..." A Kumo ninja, through spies, quickly learned of the events in Suna.

The Raikage took the scroll and began reading. "That fool from Suna was left behind... which proves how mediocre his country is..." The Third Raikage mocked the Mizukage.

"However..." He hadn't finished yet. "This is a risk factor that needs to be eliminated..." The Raikage murmured, not stopping to think about the potential Minato represented. These achievements were not ordinary for a child... showing that Konoha had a ninja with potential that could become a major problem in the future. However, he had no way to deal with this now and would have to wait for Iwa and Suna to handle it, as he remained here in the north.

"Should we continue attacking Konoha's forces today, Hokage-Sama?" A jonin murmured in front of him.

"Not yet... damn Uzumakis. Ever since they brought them to this battlefield, we can't use the Hachibi and Nibi properly; after all, we might lose them to sealing jutsus... They are another problem we need to get rid of soon, and I'm sure the other villages would also be interested in helping eliminate them, but that's a conversation for the future..." The Third Raikage said before sighing.

"Any news about our squad that entered the Land of Fire more than a year ago?" He asked. After all, there was a group sent to infiltrate the Land of Fire after a battle involving thousands of ninjas, managing to send this group through a blind spot. Their mission was simple—capture someone—but now that Konoha had strengthened its defense, it wasn't an easy task, and they had to find a way to enter and leave Konoha within two years.

"No news from them, my lord... perhaps they've been captured..." The intelligence ninja spoke to the Raikage.

"Perhaps, but I still have faith that they succeeded and are just waiting for the right opportunity." He said at the end before leaving his tent. He headed to a spot in the camp, where he saw a boy training—his son.

'He will be a good successor... but I still believe he could have someone as a partner...' The Raikage looked at A, thinking about his future.

Back at the northern camp, the news about Minato continued to spread. One of the last people to hear about it, due to not having any connections in the higher ranks and always being left out, was Might Duy, who continued training during his free time while the other ninjas gave him all kinds of simple tasks to do, unable to refuse.

During one of these tasks, some ninjas asked him to fetch water from the river while running back.

"I must arrive in record time, proving my youth without spilling a single drop of water!" He exclaimed as he ran through the forest, with weights strapped to his legs.

He quickly reached one of the northern camps and approached the chunin who had asked him to do it.

"I brought the water you asked for!" Duy said with an excited smile.

"You see? You're new to the camp, but you can ask this guy for anything. He does it all... the eternal genin always helping us out. Hahaha." One of the chunin said to his colleague, looking at Duy with a mix of curiosity and pity.

Duy was constantly doing tasks like this, even taking on some responsibilities of other ninjas, but he really didn't mind, simply smiling. "That was nothing, there's nothing my youth can't do!" He exclaimed and began to walk away to train, starting to leave the area.

"That guy is nuts..." The ninja mocked before returning to the conversation they were having before Duy arrived. "As I was saying, this Minato Namikaze invaded Suna's village alone, fought the Kazekage and the village's bijuu, and managed to survive. Can you believe that?!" He exclaimed.

Upon hearing this, Duy's ear twitched as he stopped, staring at the ninjas in shock.

Before one of them could respond, Duy grabbed their clothing. "What did you say?! Minato?! Minato invaded a village!!" He exclaimed, startling the ninjas with the way he approached them.

"HEY, what is this? Let go of me!"

"Tell me about Minato, please!!"

Duy wouldn't let go of them until he heard everything about the events Minato was involved in.

At the eastern war front of the Land of Fire, Konoha's camps were spread across the eastern coast to deal with their adversaries from the sea, as they fought Kiri, with the sea being their battlefield.

Initially, Kiri took down many Konoha ninjas and managed to invade the mainland, but soon Konoha responded and forced them to retreat. Now they protected the area, and the Uzumaki clan was helping Konoha, in both the east and even the north, as the Hokage had asked for their help in dealing with Kumo's bijuu.

With many Uzumaki ninjas out of their country, Uzushiogakure could become an easy target, as it was even quicker for Kiri to reach than the mainland. But due to its powerful defenses, Kiri didn't dare attempt anything against the Land of Whirlpools alone.

So, Kiri concentrated their attacks and advanced directly into the Land of Fire, leaving the Uzumaki's island aside. Even the Uzumaki ninjas were focused on the war in Konoha's favor, confident that their home was well protected.

In one of the coastal camps, an important meeting was taking place at this moment, inside the main tent where the Hokage himself was conducting the meeting. He was surrounded by the leaders of all the other camps.

"So, the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist have retreated to the Land of Water... That's good, it will give us a momentary advantage, but Kiri still wants to use the bijuu, which will be a problem to deal with two of them..." Hiruzen said, as all his commanders listened attentively. He didn't even consider using Kurama, although many seemed to be expecting it. After all, tailed beasts were fighting against Konoha from all directions, but he kept the Kyuubi out of use.

Hiruzen didn't want to use it, especially since the Kyuubi had only been sealed into a new jinchuuriki for almost two years, and using it was dangerous. No one could control it, and even Hiruzen wasn't confident that he could.

"Don't worry about the bijuu, Sandaime." Someone spoke at that moment. "We can fight them and control them..." said a middle-aged man with red hair, a pure Uzumaki, one of the most powerful of his time. He spoke with confidence, as there was no one more capable of dealing with bijuu than his clan.

The Third Hokage nodded at hearing this. "Alright. Then let's focus more on the Mizukage's movements. I'll leave the bijuu to you as soon as they try to attack." Hiruzen said, and the Uzumaki man nodded in agreement.

"Good, let's end the meeting here. Return to your posts and await orders, report any enemy movement, understood?" He said to all the commanders, who nodded in confirmation and then left for their camps.

This camp functioned as a model of the northern front, as the Hokage himself was here, and his orders were absolute, concentrating all decision-making power in his hands.

One of the men who had been at the meeting and had arrived a little late stayed behind while the others left. Hiruzen had been expecting him, watching as the man kept a serious expression.

Danzo had suffered a lot in this war. Hiruzen had come here because things were getting more difficult, dealing with so many renowned enemies... Suna and Iwa could be united to defeat Konoha's ninjas at the border, or the Raikage could be gaining territory in the north, but here, against Kiri, was where Konoha faced the most pressure from the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, two bijuu, and the Third Mizukage with an army of people with Kekkei Genkai. These were clans that formed Kiri's terrible army.

Even with the Uzumakis, and now with Hiruzen himself acting here, it was still difficult to manage, taking care not to lose the advantage on this front. Hiruzen had never seen Konoha under so much pressure, with all the nations deciding to make the Land of Fire their enemy in this war, leading to numerous losses. Danzo had been one of these victims shortly before Hiruzen arrived to help more than a year ago.

His head and shoulder were bandaged due to a serious injury suffered in a battle against the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Not even the newly formed squad, the Root, which he had trained over the past years to be the elite of the elite, could withstand the onslaught. He had only watched as they were killed by Kiri's ninjas.

Danzo suffered a crushing defeat, losing most of his men, an eye, and even his own right arm.

Hiruzen looked at him with a sympathetic gaze. "How are you, Danzo?" Hiruzen greeted him, a bit concerned and sincerely acknowledging his friend's state.

"What do you think, Hiruzen? I lost an eye and an arm over a year ago." Danzo replied curtly. He had lost much of his power with these injuries and was frustrated, wanting to kill any Kiri ninja that crossed his path. However, he still had to think of Konoha as one of its elders.

"Anyway, I'm not here to talk about myself. I want to talk about the boy in the west..." Danzo added with a gleam in his eye. Hiruzen had already known about Minato for a few days, while Danzo had been a bit delayed in hearing the news since he had been at a forward post. He came here the moment he learned what had happened.

Hiruzen sighed, taking out his pipe and starting to smoke before looking at his friend again.

"The boy is something else, isn't he? In just a few years, he's already become a war hero, saving countless lives from that poison..." Hiruzen said in a calm tone.

"Perhaps, but that's not what I want to talk about... the situation is getting out of control. He's gaining too much attention. That's not good for us. After all, we have to think of Konoha, and there's no one better than us for that..." Danzo retorted, serious.

"The boy just changed the course of an entire war, Danzo. What is there to worry about?" Hiruzen murmured, a bit weary of Danzo's constant concerns about Minato.

Danzo had initially wanted Minato in his squad, to have a good dog to fight for its master, but the boy refused, and both Hiruzen and Jiraiya didn't allow Danzo to push further. Now, the boy was shining brighter than Danzo could have imagined. If one day the decisions of the elders were not agreeable to Minato and he dismantled them publicly, it wouldn't be good for Danzo's position. After all, he believed there was no one better to lead Konoha than himself.

"I'm sure others, like Mitokado and Utatane, don't think the boy is trustworthy either. After all, he has already disobeyed an order for personal revenge..." Danzo insisted.

"You worry too much, Danzo. Just relax. Let things stay as they are. My student is looking after the boy. After all, if our ninjas can protect the western side of the country, it will prevent Suna and Iwa from trying to invade our territory, and that would give us a real crisis, not a teenager seeking revenge for Konoha..." Hiruzen tried to reason.

"Maybe Minato is important for this war, Hiruzen. But will he also be important for Konoha?" Danzo said with a certain gleam in his eyes, while Hiruzen sighed.

"Well, we'll see about that when this war is over." He said finally, thoughtfully. After all, he too had to think about the village's future. He needed to see if the Will of Fire would remain unwavering in Minato, as it had in past years.

And despite Danzo's persistence regarding the boy, Hiruzen did not entirely dismiss his friend's suspicions. After all, if Minato became so powerful that he was uncontrollable, he understood why Danzo feared he might become a threat to Konoha's future.

"When the time comes, we'll deal with it..." Hiruzen said finally, turning his thoughts back to the war in the east of the Land of Fire. After all, he still had to deal with Kiri.
