Capítulo 11: Mystery Boys
Timothy and his friends walked and arrived at J&J Fish's restaurant on 109th S. Halsted. J&J Fish restaurant was the most common restaurant in the Roseland area that everyone mostly eats from. The restaurant was big from the inside. The walls were made out of red bricks. The tables were white and black. The rim of the table was black, and the center was white. The floor was white and made out of tile metal. It was two children's machines embedded to the floor next to the counter. It was a bubble gum machine and a fake jewelry machine. Timothy and Anthony made it up first to the counter. Anthony was generous to buy everyone lunch.
"Are you ready to order?" The woman at the counter asked.
"Naw, not yet. Hey, what do y'all want?" Anthony asked turning his body around.
"Fish, " Timothy said.
"I know you want to fish, but what type of fish?" Anthony asked.
"Catfish," Timothy said.
"You want soda with it?" Anthony asked.
"Yeah Pepsi, " Timothy said.
"What about y'all?" Anthony asked.
"I'll take a perch dinner fish, and a Coke," Gregg said.
"I'll get a 5 piece chicken wings, with fries, with mild sauce on it, and a Sprite pop, " Mike said.
"Damn man, yo mama didn't fix u nothing for breakfast this morning?" Anthony asked while everyone laughs and even the woman taking their order laughs as well.
"Man, my mama don't cook for me, I cook for myself, I'm the man of the house, " Mike said.
"My bad ma'am, it's something wrong with my friend. What do you want Jeremiah?" Anthony asked.
"Anything, I'll eat anything they got, " Jeremiah said.
"Okay, then I will get you the same thing I'm getting. We ready now, " Anthony said.
"Okay, what can I get for you?" The woman asked.
Anthony ordered and paid for everyone's food. They all had to wait 20 minutes until their food was ready. They all sat at the back table conversing a plan to decorate Gregg's hang out spot.
"So who you got to decorate my sanctuary?" Gregg asked.
"Well that abandoned building you hang at needs some serious work done, and I have a cousin who could help us get it fixed up, I just need to call em tonight, he builds houses for a living. He may do it or not, but he ain't go do it for free, " Anthony said.
"You paying right?" Gregg asked.
"I'm not about to let y'all use me for everything, we all have to give in on something, " Anthony said.
"I don't have no money, " Mike said.
"Like how much?" Gregg asked.
"I don't know yet, I have to call em when I get home and ask him the price, " Anthony informed.
"Yeah get on that, and let us know tomorrow at school, " Gregg demanded.
"Okay, and Mike you gotta give up something, allowance money or something. If my cousin do it, he ain't go do it for free, I suggest y'all better start saving money today," Anthony demanded.
