"Mr. Andrews, how have you been lately?"

The dean didn't want to bombard him with a lot of information all at once, so he simply inquired about Mr. Andrews' situation.

Mr. Andrews' family were out having fun; by the time it was noon for the dean it was already evening for them. When Michael saw the dean's message, he instantly guessed that Matt must have done something to upset him.

"I've been doing quite well lately. You're messaging me out of the blue. It must be about more than just checking in on me. Just tell me straight, did that rascal Matt get himself into trouble again?"

The dean saw that Michael was quick to reply to his messages. From Michael asking whether Matt had gotten into trouble again, it was clear he had no idea what Matt had done.
