Capítulo 50: Things Are Changing

Now that I had soap and clothes, I decided that I needed to keep myself clean at all times. I was used to that anyway. Though this would now make me a bigger target for Boberre. The better that I looked, the better that I smelled, the more that he would want me. I would need to find another way to keep him off of me. Another way to deter him until I managed to escape from him.

A couple of days after he had gone to the market, Boberre needed to get back to work. He was apparently a woodcutter and that meant that he left the city on a regular basis to collect wood to sell to different shops and people's homes. He actually worked at what was essentially a lumberyard that cut and refined the wood for its customers. It was an admiral job since many people needed to have the wood to survive. And I could now see why Boberre was so strong and powerful looking. He used his physical strength at work every day.
