My Magical Combat class took up the entire morning. It was a lot of work, but I understood why they had scheduled it that way. As Professor Slayer explained it to Larissa, who had complained about having to have this physically demanding class first thing in the morning: It is best to have this class first thing in the day, that way you have the energy to give it your all.

You see, we used a lot of mana and physical stamina, even in a magical combat class. And as time went on, we would be using a lot of mental stamina as well, as we strategized about the best ways to compete with others. If we took these classes at the end of the day, then we would be too tired to properly function. And the last thing that you wanted to do was have waning attention when you are working with dangerous spells.
