Jack and DL were driving down a bustling street when DL's gaze shifted out the window. Her eyes brightened with sudden excitement, and she slapped Jack's shoulder repeatedly.
"Jack! Stop the car—stop the car!" DL's tone was hurried and filled with urgency.
"What now?" Jack groaned but complied, pulling over to the side of the road.
Once the car came to a complete stop, DL leaned forward, nearly pressing her face against the glass. She pointed at something outside. "Look over there! Oh my God, do you see her? That girl—she's stunning!"
Jack followed DL's line of sight and found himself staring at a small milk tea shop. Next to the tables and chairs outside the shop, a petite young woman was meticulously cleaning up some spilled drinks. The afternoon sunlight illuminated her, making her seem almost ethereal.
