Capítulo 21: I am scared of you!”

I was so pissed at aphie, she always defies me at the wrong time! Honestly Brian told me to be nice to her, that she was a value able asset; But what she said was too bold of her. Calling me a SLAVE! All girl are just like this one day they are nice and you do a wrong everything you did was wrong then. I walked to Aphie's room. Ethan came to me and asked me to apologise to her.
Ofcourse I said No, But then he asked me to talk her, atleast know her side of the story. Honestly I didn't care much, Ethan promised me that I won't have to deal with her anymore! He will look after her and make sure she stays here captive. Sounded like a perfect deal for me. I opened her rooms door, there was no guard stationed outside so I knew she was somewhere else. I just went inside to be sure whether she hasn't killed the guard. "Nothing in here!" I sighed and walked down stairs. Last time she was out of her room I saw her in the kitchen.
I walked to the kitchen but it was pretty quite, "No one here!" Well I was confused a bit and thats when I saw her, outside the kitchen window the garden was clearly visible, there she was on the pavilion entrance. It was actually a small shade made for relaxation, but it had a beautiful arch bridge at the entrance. The man-made lake below it reflected moonlight giving the area a beautiful blue glow, as the breeze made ripples on the water the light danced on her face and I could see a tear glisten in her eyes. I kept looking at her and decided not to disturb her moment.
After sometime she crossed the bridge and started walking in the opposite direction of the mansion. 'Where is she going!' I got alert and ran all the way from kitchen to the main door, the distance was around half the mansion. I just hoped I wasn't late! I just hoped she hadn't escaped! I opened the door and sprinted across the footwalk. I stopped in place when I saw the guards stop her, I walked slowly towards them so she wouldn't notice.
I was expecting her to give a fight but she just stood there. I closed in on her and waited there to see what she was planning to do next. But she just waited and waited. After five minutes she turned slowly, our eyes locked and I could see the same expressions on her face that I saw on the bridge. There were tears in her eyes and she was holding it back. As she saw me standing there her eyes changed, they had hatred dancing in them. And without paying me and heed she walked past me.
What was that about!? I held her hand and stopped her in place, there was no reason to show me that attitude! But I made a deal with ethan so I ignored her lunatics, "I want to talk to y..." before I could finish my sentence she shouted, "I don't want to!"
What audacity! Just because I am being considerate how can she! But I stayed quiet, There was something else about this situation bothering me. She was quiet trying to read what my purpose was, but she couldn't so she started talking again, "what is it? Everytime you have something childish to say and childish to do, just because I'm your prisoner doesn't mean You treat me any which way you want. Everytime you talk I get hurt, I see death."
I was analysing what she meant!? And she just continued, "You should be the one telling me why am I here? I'm being taken care of yet held captive, I serve no purpose here but I have been living off your favours." Her anger went overboard and she started poking at me, probably throwing a stupid fit. I choose not to respond, to let her finish cause well this way she might just talk her side out, some stupid reasoning that way I could go and tell ethan I completed my end of the deal!
She kept pushing me back with tears in her eyes that she was gracefully holding back, I could see the hatred again and she started shouting, "What do you want from me? Why do you always give me problems? Even after I choose to cooperate and never ask questions, why do you always go ahead and injure me just to heal me again? WHAT HAVE I EVER DONE BAD TO YOUI?"
My went wide at her words. All this time I thought I saw hatred in her eyes but it was hurt, pure hurt! I didn't see anything else. She wasn't angry at me, she didn't hate me, she was just hurt. I held her wrist and looked in her eyes trying to find what was it that hurt her? But nothing. I signalled the guard to leave and started walking, pulling her behind me towards the pavilion. "Where are you taking me? Do you wish to hurt me again?", aphie kept tugging at my hand as we walked, her voice was cracking at this point but I kept walking. "Chris stop", she said in a hurtful tone but I didn't listen I just pulled her behind me.
"Chris!" She pleaded again trying to jerk her hand off, but I pulled her harder, "Chris stop please!", she pulled again "Stop I'm scared! CHRIS STOP!", she shouted loud after all her failed attempts to free her hand. And I stopped. I turned to her still holding her hand, confused I asked, "what are you scared of?"
She was hesitant, there were tears down her face and I wasn't going to be gentle just because of that! I had a big question of what really hurt her but right now I wanted to know what she was scared of. She averted her eyes, I tightened my grip around her wrist and pulled her chin up with my other hand. Now she was looking in my eyes, the truth always is spoken by your eyes! I asked her again with a assertive tone this time, "What Are You Scared Of?" As tears welled up in her eyes again as she winced in pain, she couldn't hold back anymore and she answered, "I am scared of you!"
