Sly didn't speak a word even when we reached the house. He opened the door of the car for me. And when I got down, he shut the door behind me.

"Follow me."

Those were the words he said before he started walking towards the house.

Sly ignored the greetings he got from the guard who was patrolling the house.

He entered the house, and I followed suit.

Sly didn't say anything, he just started walking towards the stairs.

There were no signs of Pop, who was supposed to be in the parlour, watching a film, since that's what she intended to do.

Marli probably isn't back from the hospital she went to since morning.

Sly started up the stairs, and I followed him.

I dutifully walked after him until he entered his room.

Why did he go in there?

I wondered as I followed him in.
