Capítulo 42: Showdown (part -2)

*With the Spider's, Katana and Electra*

One of the cocoon's cracked and a layer fell down, showing a closed eye. But the eyelids of the creature seemed to be made out of stone and burning coal. The eyelid opened up showing a bright red eye, which then moved towards them.

Without wasting time, Spiderman shot webs at it, but got blocked when it's eye closed. It started cracking with the other two cocoons, while they got ready to fire UV repulsors. The middle egg cocoon which showed the right eye cracked open, revealing a massive pair of bat wings, made out of stone, yet seemed to show some kind of skin over it, which glowed red veins time to time as if lava was flowing through them.

The beast completely cracked it's shell, showing a massive 6m tall stone gargoyle. Though it was 6m tall hunched over due to it's massive arms. It had massive red eyes with a vampire bat's shaped nose and it's mouth looked like a snapping turtle, but much, much stronger. It had slightly pointed ears, with 2 horns on it's head, glowing eerily red. It had massive arms with clawed fingers, while it's legs were shorter, yet stout. Each wing though, was about 4 meter stretched, and had a tail jutting bone spikes starting from middle, which formed a heavy cluster of spikes at the end.

"*ROARRRR*" The gargoyle roared, the horns started glowing producing a form of electricity forming all around it, which started moving around it's body charging his throat, claws, tail and wings which glowed with red energy(think of it like cor*na beams of space-Godzilla).

The other egg hatched showing a dog which produced smoke as if it was constantly burning. I had black fur with tough legs, sporting sharp claws, which occasionally glowed red as well. It had a mane which was leaking a large amount of smoke as well. But it had a major difference from the normal dogs, having three heads and tails, each having a red crystal embedded on their head.

"AWOOOO" The three heads howled in unison, making their smoky mane suddenly light up with fire, which came out of there mouths as well. Their claws glowed red as well, and also radiated heat, melting the floor below.

The third cocoon cracked showing a skinny creature coming out of it. It stood up showing a skinny man who had trouble standing straight. His knees were bent along with his back, while his hands hanged almost reaching the floor. He may look like the definition of a malnourished man, if not for it's height, features and aura. It's skin was blackish-red, with his face sprouting no feature at all, no ears, no nose, no mouth, except it's eyes, which were hollow and staring into it may look like staring into the abyss. Even hunched down, it stood about 2 and a half meters tall, shortest of the three. But it's aura made it clear it was the fastest of the three.

The 6 were stunned seeing the three beasts, but Spiderman took the lead before hey could attack.

"Arc and Ghost, handle Cerberus lookalike. Katana and Electra, take Slenderman away from here. Silk and I will handle the Gargoyle." Spiderman ordered, and the group fired the repulsors on their respective targets, starting the battle.

*Spiderman and Silk vs Crimson-horned Gargoyle*

"Shooting lightning means Electrokinesis, and floating rocks means Geokinesis, what else does it have?" Spiderman said dodging the shooting rocks charged with electricity. He avoided the gargoyle's arm punching towards him and used webs to swing towards it's back and threw web bombs at it's wings, which seemed to be glowing more intensely as if charging. Just as he got to it's back, his spidersense rang and he rushed aside, barely avoiding the spiked tail that swung towards him.

"Add superstrength, supersenses, spiked tail, and possibly flight." Silk said throwing web grenades towards it's wings as well, which was alarming her spidersense.

"Reminds me of Rhino, he was the first one we couldn't overpower. Wonder how he's doing?" Spidey said avoiding the electric shock that came towards him from the horns and shot a repulsor towards it's eye, but the gargoyle closed it's eye just as he saw him charging up.

But the opening was enough as the both threw explosive spider-disks at it's horns. Unfortunately, it got intercepted by the raging electricity surrounding it's horns. Still, the bombs were filled with some amount of holy energy, which exploded with the bomb and the shockwave managed to break the electro-barrier around the horns to some extent making a small crack, but not big enough.

"First one we couldn't overpower?" Silk asked back, a bit annoyed the bombs did so little damage to the horns, but it seems to have messed with the gargoyle's senses who started swinging it's tail haphazardly and she was avoiding it.

"First enemy we faced. Nightclaw and Enigma don't count." He answered back, planting some emp bombs on it's wings, while remembering Laura and Alex's training, sending a shiver up his spine. As for the emp's, he's trying to experiment whether it can diffuse the charge in it's wings or not.

Just as he activated it, the emp burst destabilized them, which lead to a sudden charge release which went outwards like a done shaped wave, which pushed both of them backwards, which they managed to block, just sliding a few feet. Right now, if someone were to see his arms with any kind of soul or mana seeing eyes, they would be shocked at their usage.

Much like how Arachnid uses bioelectricity for venom blasts, they use it as a layer of shield that covers their body. This improves their defense and can produce burst at impact points to increase damage.

Spiderman and Silk landed on the ground and stabilized themselves. They looked up to see their opponent had cracks over it's wings and hands, but they were repairing itself.

"Looks like brute force it is" Silk said looking at the repairing cracks with a frown.

"Think it'll work?" Spidey asked.

"Won't know until we try. Try attacking it's body, I'll aim for the horns any chance I get." Silk said and entered stealth mode, just as the gargoyle locked it's eyes back at them.

The gargoyle growled looking at Spiderman. "Well, I've got only one thing to say." Spiderman said as he started running at the gargoyle starting to rush towards him

"... THIS. IS. SPARTAAAA!"

Spiderman approached the Gargoyle who brought his jaws to snap him in half, but Spidey dodged it moving towards the left. Then he lifted his left fist and punched at the Gargoyle's shoulder with full power and coating his fist with bio-aura.

*boooom*

The impact worked produced a large boom and the result left a screeching gargoyle and a stunned Spidey. As much as he liked training with the dummies in the base at his full power, he wasn't even able to dent them(cuz they're made of vibranium), so seeing how power against an opponent more than twice his size made him stumped.

While Spiderman was stumped, the Gargoyle couldn't catch a break as it felt another danger coming but he was too slow as Silk decloaked right over his head and slammed a punch on his left horn.

The impact alerted their spidersense, snapping Spiderman and they both immediately coated themselves in the bio-aura, while the horn blasted because of the uncontrolled power and exploded with another blast, but much more dangerous than the last one.

The shockwave sent Spiderman over 20m flying disorienting him, preventing him to gain balance midair. He crashed about 3 times before sticking to the ground stopping himself. Preventing the shockwave took almost everything to reinforce the bio-aura, causing a headache now, the strain caused by the overuse of the bio-aura. But thankfully the healing factor kicked in easing the pain and headache he was experiencing considerably.

'Uhh, dammit. … Wait MJ!' Remembering Silk, he immediately sprung up and tried looking for her.

"SILK!" He yelled and approached her fast, after seeing her lying on the ground at some distance.

"UHHG, not that loud Pete. My head's hurting. No, everything's hurting." Silk groaned clutching her head and flinched in pain trying to get up due to pain. Her armor was mostly fine except the damaged gauntlet of the arm she punched with, due to Oracle deploying an shield layer over the suit reinforcing Silk's bio-aura shield, protecting her.

Spiderman released the breath he was holding seeing Silk but suddenly his and Silk's spidersense tingled. He immediately picked her up as she was still recovering and jumped up, avoiding a tail, which was crackling with electricity. He shot a web and clung to the ceiling and helped Silk stabilize.

They both looked down to find the gargoyle trashing around because of his lack of sense. Both of his arms were blown up, but it seemed to have a skeletal structure jutting out, which was charged with energy and growing back, pulling rocks towards it to fuse with itself. It's face was almost all destroyed except the skull remaining with a single horn jutting out and stones fusing back on it.

"He's recovering fast, and it seems his energy was made in the bone marrow than the horns." Spidey stated after observing.

"Yes, but it's tail wasn't always supercharged like it's right now." Silk said eyeing the tail which seemed to release a shockwave everytime it hit the ground." Yet it's horn doesn't seem to be healing and the amount of electricity around it seems less as well." She spoke her own observations.

"So the second horn it is." Spidey said eyeing the the beast as he had regained it's face, but didn't complete recreating it's arms. Right as they were getting ready to jump in again, the gargoyle screeched and it's body started shifting. With the sound of grinding rocks and sparkling lightning, it finished shifting in less than 5 seconds to show it's completely changed body. It gave up on making arms and made it's wings attached there instead, and reduced it's size, to make bone spurs all over it's back, and the club like tail became shorter but sharper. The horn on it's head shifted to the middle and he now had a huge eye in the middle like a cyclops. It's wings had a thin skin made of rocks and flesh, but it's framework mostly consisted of it's bones, and every bone was glowing with energy.

'*SKREEE* It screeched at the spiders on the ceiling.

"First werewolves and mini gargoyles, then a big gargoyle, and now a wyvern looking bat-thing? How many forms does it have?" Spidey complained.

"Don't know. Don't care. Queen, observation and optimal solution?" Silk replied to Spiderman and asked. Their spidersense gave a warning and they swung aside avoiding a blast the beast sent through it's mouth.

[The horn still has the highest amount of power concentration, like a battery, but the creature's life force seems to reside in the core in it's chest.] Queen spoke showing the data of horn and core she found through multiple scans. [The wings also seems to channel it now, most likely release is in the form of a shockwave. The tail may produce an energy slash so caution is required. The mouth can act as a cannon now. Optimal solution is to bind it to prevent escape as it can't fly indoors and target it's horn and then core for most damage.] Oracle summarized.

Getting irritated by the spider's avoiding it's attacks, it started charging it's wings and flapped, producing a shockwave which the spider's barely avoided, yet got affected to some degree and landed more further than intended. Finding distance, it began charging energy in it's mouth to fire.

"Shit, Silk missile barrage." Spidey yelled. Both of their suits opened up on shoulders revealing small missiles which are extremely slim looking, but at the same time extremely fast and explosive. All missiles locked in on 3 targets, the mouth, the eye and the horn. Just about as it was about to fire the energy beam, the missiles fired and reached it in a second exploding in holy energy disrupting the dark energy it was gathering making it chaotic and collapse in a blast as well.

Spiderman and Silk covered their eyes from the flash and put the suit's shield to the max to protect from the shockwave. When the looked back at it, they found the beast with the upper torso completely vanished with his lower half covered with cracks. That too broke when it fell down, revealing a spherical crystal leaking dark miasma from th many cracks it had.

"That was... anticlimactic?" Silk said looking at the cracked crystal with caution.

"Yeah... I was gonna use your help to throw me towards it's horn to Falcon Punch it... but this works as well." Spidey replied looking at the crystal as well.

[I would suggest you collect it in the space cube, but make sure not to touch it.] Queen advised the duo.

"Yeah, then let's help others" Silk said webbing the ball cautiously and putting it in her storage cube.
