Capítulo 13: Hater's gonna Hate
* This arc will show Alex time as a crimefighter before going to cannon, so bear a few chapters before the time skip*
*One month later*
In the school Alex found even though he is matured compared to other's his age, he still has the impulsiveness of a 14 year old kid, It is just suppressed by his maturity and lack of interactions with anyone of his age. I finally let that suppressor go and interacting with other's my age became fun.
They all know me as the friendly and approachable guy. Though the girls tried to get near me, they were disappointed to be only seen as a friend. The more pushy one's were scared of surprisingly by Jean, Wanda and Laura? Their predatory grin even sent shivers down my spine so I didn't even try to say anything. Pietro was on the same boat as me.
Though they do know not to mess with me. One day I got a bit late to find out Peter was bullied to stay away from MJ and Kurt and Pietro were trying to help but the brotherhood kids, specially toad looked like they wanted to join the opposite if they joined in. I sent star platinum to them and made my way to help them. They tried to push me out, but they did not expect to flipped over. I gave every single one of them pain in a joint or two. They were players so this was good enough to waste a week. Plus, it was self defense in my case. My warning that they will never able to participate in any sport if they tried this again scared them shitless.
Toad tried to come in but fell face-first because his laces were tied together. Star platinum gave me a thumbs up. Oracle was giggling as well as the crowd around us. After that they realized not to get on my bad side. The parents of the injured kids try to sue me, but a collection of their kids deeds, courtesy of Oracle, made their mouth shut. Mystique looked impressed.
Me, Kurt and Pietro forced Peter out of his nerdy shell and brought him to exercise and play with us. He was improving at a good rate. Sometimes Laura joined in too.
I made some changes to my normal suit. It was a complete replica of Joker's costume before, but in reality it felt a bit out of place. So I replaced gloves with batman's gauntlet's as well as the boots. Discharging electricity from both was possible, with both claws available as well. I also added shoulder blades and arm blades from Batman. I replaced my inner shirt to a thin looking military vest look alike, But it was the most durable thing you could find. My main weapons became a pair of daggers, which worked like Wakandan spears, but had many other runes as well.
The police still couldn't find a trace of me except the once in a while I 'accidently' get caught on cctv. SHIELD knows about me and treats me as an low level unknown. The hype at the start about me had mostly died out, but they occasionally find out what I did. The information about me was just like my name, an enigma. The biggest hit was still the GGG for some reason.
I advanced my plans on educating Xavier because Jean's powers are starting to grow out of control and he was mind editing Scott for it. I will do it at once when summer break starts, which is about next week.
The police were starting to make plans to do something about me, or more like one of the people' under mayor convinced them with long speeches on how I was bringing the name of police into shame. There were also a few people I had killed. The were ra*#rs who had done it for too long or pedophiles who kidnapped children. Soul eye gave me an idea of someone's nature without even using it. I used it once to find their soul covered in black and blood red filth. The kid's had golden, while the one's of adults were dim, the elderly did have a brighter one.
Anyway, in reality he was ordered by a higher up to do this because I was occasionally giving them details about corrupt cops and they were losing influence in police. I already had all the details with his past crimes with me which I will send to media outposts and police after the goose chase. I still wanted to see what they will do.
In the past 3 years, I have opened many business routes under Knight Industries. The multiple markets I own are clothing industry, both normal and sports wear. The clothes and shoes are made of special mix of synthetic and natural fiber I developed, which is both soft and durable.
The second is the automobile industry. I have many cars and bikes launched, and the specialty is that they are all electric and more advanced than anything on market now. Many have tried to copy but failed miserably and got sued as well. We also have special orders for armored versions, made by lightweight yet hard alloy, with multilayered bulletproof glass, and completely well packed from the below as well, with many air bags and safety features in-built.
SHIELD tried to replicate and hack into the servers but Oracle repelled back by scrambling their data as well. Fury face was, well, furious. I laughed a lot when Oracle showed his face with one of the nanobots in his office. These were worth a lot but people were ready to spend for safety. Their cost also made sure I they weren't using my car at night to escape from me. Kingpin and other high level leaders had some, and I bugged it from the inside to keep an eye on them. Though I was still not caught, I was able to see the slight change in Gao's expression when I was watching her. Her instincts were very sharp.
I am going to enter the smartphone market with the new holo-phones I created. This was gonna hit the market like a truck for sure. I will still wait for a year or two. It was still a completely private industry under me and many were trying to pressure us for some shares, so I just sold 20% of automobiles to Tony to drag in his name for the influence, with 5 % of textile industry to each of the F4. Alfred already had many lounge's and jewelry shops under his name so there was no problem.
I also went on a mission under Nightclaw to free a few Red-room graduates and free them from brain-washing. With their help, I was able to free two more bases. Most of them decided to work under me, so, some were in the company while some were in security, of both the mansion and the companies. We had weeded out most of the spies, but let a few slip in but at low ranks, so they don't learn any secrets.
Eliana was selected as their head I had enough trust in her now that I gave her the power serum, and she works as the head of security. When I trust others enough, I will give them some as well.
The rest who were still going to do that work, but to save others trapped like them, got in the group I call Dark Knights. They are responsible to eliminate anyone who tries to target the company, as well as some missions to save or steal something. They are called the Dark Knights, And people know not to mess with my company.
Today we decided to hang out, while the X-Men apparently sent Logan with them for safety. He was a bit intimidating and Peter literally cowered under his gaze while I just smiled, to which he was startled, but softened up a little and huffed us to follow. I already had a van ready, but Logan wanted to drive, so we let him escort us while we enjoyed the arcade, watched a movie, had lunch and went to see sights in New York then returned around 8 in evening. All in all, it was the first time I had this much fun in this life, so I was radiating happiness. The other's realized I never had friends and smiled seeing me as well.
After returning, I rested a while till night, then wore my suit and teleported to one of the skyline's blind spot and started doing my job as I did daily until I got a call from Oracle which left me surprised.
Apparently a bunch of terrorists had taken a entire hospital hostage and demanded ransom. Like what?? It has started going all over the news. But this smelled fishy. Police usually let media on the side in these situations but there were camera's everywhere now. Even on the helicopters. Why were heli's here??
I narrowed my eyes but still decided to go. I had to do something. There were surprisingly many blind spots in the police surrounding as well. My senses were going off so I used aura to find the terrorists when I reached inside, but what I found left me baffled. The hostages had guns as well. Not only that, the patient's were as fit as they can be.
Then it clicked in! This was a trap they designed for me. I could have ignored and be on my way, giving them a slap to the face for failing the mission and revealing this was a trap for me but decided against it. There weren't any crimes happening because of this news, and I hadn't had the thrill for a while. I grinned in anticipation. This is going to be one hell of a show.
*3rd person POV*
The media were showing the hostage situation going on in the hospital. Families were growing tense at there homes wondering what's going to happen.
The police were tense for an entirely different case. Will the guy they set this up fall into the trap? Or did he get the idea what was happening already. There were secret places guard were hidden throughout the hospital, fake refrigerator's, under beds, etc. They were so they would notice his entry. They knew all his tricks so prepared against him.
Fully armored SWAT teams with internal breathing system against his chemical warfare. They had secured the light terminals, but still carried x-ray and infra-red goggles. Teams were observing all cameras in the hospital for maximum contact and effective relaying of orders. They hadn't busted a single drug case in the city with the amount of force and planning they were carrying. In the end, it all remains whether he would come or not.
And then it happened. There were sounds of gunshots, and someone has pressed the buzzer to call them. It was to be pressed on certainty of situation. The target had taken the bait. Soon Swat trucks and police cars starting converging on the area and surrounded it completely. Teams started entering through the entrance. The media was baffled by the sudden turn of events but what the police told made their mind's blank. This was a trap to capture the new vigilante Enigma.
