Capítulo 60: Sixtieth

It was a long road that went on forever. A winding path through unfamiliar lands.

The air was cool and damp, chilly and crisp, with clouds gathering overhead as they traveled through a mountain range.

The winds were getting stronger, causing their horses to shift uneasily on the road beneath their hooves, their riders equally restless.

The cold wasn't much of an issue, but the possibility of snow had them worried.

Adrien kept an eye on the sky as they rode on. "We need to get through this pass before nightfall..."

He seemed particularly wary today.

There were no signs of their previous orc pursuers today, but...perhaps snow in the mountains while they were actively trying to pass through them was a greater threat than any roving orcs.

Emily tugged a blanket around her shoulders as she curled up in the carriage.

Merwyn hummed and sang to himself as he rode alongside the carriage.
