There was a sharp bang and a muffled curse.

A clatter.

Crash.

Clack clack clack clack clack.

Crunch.

Thud.

Muffled groan.

...

Silence.

She stared at the doorway of the room all the noise came from.

Merwyn tilted his head, reminding her a bit of an inquisitive dog, and stared at the door as well.

After a moment or two...

It opened.

A very disheveled and disoriented looking Adrien stumbled through the door.

He took one step, and then swayed back and forth unsteadily.

And then.

He took another step and immediately collapsed sideways to the floor.

The impact sent up a small cloud of dust.

"A-Adrien?!" Emily shouted as she rushed over to the man, kneeling down and hovering her hands above his prone form.

He groaned, turning his head to blink blearily at her. "...Emily? What are you..."

"Are you okay, Adrien!?"

He gave a low cough. "I-I...think so."
