Y'know, I honestly think these titles are cringe but my editor loves them.

As the match kicked off with a fiery clash, Kuro immediately switched to his "Base" form, focusing his "Ki" to enhance his strength and reaction time. Bakugo, always the aggressor, launched himself into action, starting with his explosive speed.
The two quickly engaged in an intense, close-quarters combat that sent shockwaves through the arena. The sheer force of their blows echoed around the stadium as their fists collided in a wild, chaotic flurry of strikes.
Aizawa, always the keen observer, began his analysis of the fight. "Strange. For two students who know each other's abilities so well, I expected them to be more strategic. Bakugo's usual bravado is on full display here, but he's playing into Kurokami's strengths by engaging in close combat. Kurokami excels here, and yet, Bakugo is relentless. It's like he's deliberately walking into the lion's den."
Present Mic's voice, in stark contrast to Aizawa's calm demeanor, was filled with excitement. "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU JUST SAID, AIZAWA, BUT HOLY SMOKES, THIS IS A FIGHT! IT LOOKS LIKE THESE TWO HAVE SOME SERIOUS BEEF TO SETTLE! AND I BET THE WINNER WON'T LEAVE WITHOUT A FEW BRUISES!"
Kuro found himself skidding across the arena floor, narrowly dodging an explosion aimed at his face as Bakugo kept the pressure on. The air was filled with the acrid scent of burnt ozone as Bakugo's relentless assault continued. Kuro, usually the one controlling the pace of his fights, was being suppressed, a rare occurrence for someone with his skill set.
"C'mon, God! Where's that confidence? What happened to you being unbeatable?" Bakugo taunted, flying at Kurokami with a savage grin as he continued his barrage of attacks
Kuro managed to block another explosion, only to be caught off guard by a sharp knee to his stomach, causing him to cough up spit as he was thrown back. Despite the intense pain, he quickly recovered, his usual calm demeanor betraying the excitement bubbling beneath the surface.
"My, my, so eager," Kuro said, his voice still casual, but there was an edge to it now. Bakugo was pushing him to his limits, and it only served to heighten his excitement.
Bakugo shot forward again, landing a hard punch to Kuro's gut before leaping back, creating distance. "Stop with that damn tone!" Bakugo growled, irritated by Kuro's unshaken confidence. He raised both hands and unleashed a rapid volley of explosions from a few meters away, creating a relentless wave of heat and smoke.
Kuro found himself at the edge of the stadium, dangerously close to being knocked out of bounds. Bakugo's plan was clear—corner him, build up the heat and smoke from his explosions to sweat more, increasing the power of his quirk with each successive blast. The battlefield was becoming a furnace, and Kuro could feel the toll it was taking on him.
"Oh, I see what this is," Kuro said with a sly grin, his eyes gleaming with realization. "Such ingenuity, Bakugo... I must say, it's rather unbecoming of you to play smart like this."
Bakugo's explosions kept coming, each one building on the last, turning the arena into a warzone of fire and smoke. Kuro, however, wasn't one to back down. With a wild laugh, he began creating small "Ki" blasts of his own, mimicking Bakugo's relentless attack.
"Hahahaha! I'll match your excitement then!" Kuro shouted as he hurled his "Ki" blasts in rapid succession. The two fighters were now locked in an all-out projectile war, filling the stadium with blinding light and deafening noise.
"PewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPew!!" Kuro yelled with childlike glee as he spammed his blasts, the air crackling with energy
"DieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDieDie!!" Bakugo screamed back, his voice full of rage as he unleashed explosion after explosion, his hands glowing with the ferocity of his quirk.
The arena shook as the two unleashed their full power. Neither of them was holding back anymore, and the stadium floor cracked and sizzled under the onslaught. Cementoss was already preparing barriers to shield the audience from the sheer destructive force these two were producing.
Aizawa narrowed his eyes as he watched the battle unfold. "This isn't just a fight anymore. They're both pushing their quirks to the absolute limit. Bakugo's explosions are only growing stronger, but Kurokami... his control over his "Ki" is keeping him in the game. It's a question of who can outlast the other."
Present Mic was practically jumping out of his seat. "I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG THIS CAN LAST, FOLKS! IT'S A FIGHT TO THE FINISH, AND NEITHER OF THESE GUYS IS BACKING DOWN!!"
As the explosive back-and-forth continued, Bakugo noticed something: Kuro's "Ki" blasts were starting to lose some of their punch. He grinned viciously.
"That's it, isn't it? You're running out of steam, Kurokami! That weird energy of yours is finally running low!" Bakugo roared, charging forward with both hands glowing, ready to deliver a massive explosion at point-blank range.
But Kuro, despite the clear strain on his body, merely smirked. "Running low? Do you think so? Hah... just wait." With a flick of his wrist, he condensed all his remaining "Ki" into a single, larger blast, one that shone with an ominous dark purple light.
The crowd held its breath as Bakugo rushed in for the kill, but Kuro remained focused. Just as Bakugo's explosion was about to connect, Kuro fired his "Ki" blast directly into the ground, creating a massive shockwave that sent both of them flying back.
The force of the impact shook the entire stadium, leaving a crater where they had stood. As the dust began to settle, both fighters lay on opposite sides of the arena, breathing heavily, clearly exhausted but far from done.
Bakugo, coughing as he got back to his feet, wiped the blood from his mouth and laughed, "You're still alive? Not bad... but this is where it ends, dwarf.
Kuro pushed himself up slowly, his body trembling with exhaustion, but his grin never wavered. "Hah... let's see you try."
As Kuro and Bakugo ran at each other for another clash, Bakugo's eyes gleamed with his usual manic intensity. "Hey, aren't you tired yet?" he sneered, fully expecting some carefree quip in return.
But instead of Kuro's typical, lighthearted response, something unexpected happened—Kuro's "Ki" suddenly flickered out.
His once vibrant purple aura vanished, and his body dropped from its floating stance with an unceremonious thud. Kuro stumbled, visibly weak. His energy reserves had hit rock bottom. Bakugo didn't hesitate; he saw the opening and charged forward, a malicious grin spreading across his face.
"Not so tough now, huh?!" Bakugo yelled as he leaped into the air, his hands sparking with a deadly explosion aimed directly at Kuro.
Present Mic's voice echoed throughout the stadium. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I'M SEEING! IT LOOKS LIKE KUROKAMI'S RUN OUT OF STEAM, AND BAKUGO'S PRESSING HIS ADVANTAGE! IS THIS THE MOMENT THAT TURNS THE TIDES?!"
Aizawa, watching with his ever-keen eye, added with a calm, clinical tone, "Bakugo's playing it smart here. He's been goading Kurokami into overexerting his quirk. Now that Kuro's "Ki" is depleted, Bakugo can press forward without restraint. At this point, I'm not sure how Kurokami comes back from this."
Kuro's body bounced across the stadium floor as Bakugo's explosive kick landed hard against his stomach. He skidded along the ground, barely managing to roll into a defensive crouch. But then... despite the situation, despite the clear disadvantage, Kuro looked up at Bakugo with that same infuriating smile on his face.
"Hehe..." Kuro chuckled, wincing from the pain but still grinning like a fool.
Bakugo, momentarily taken aback, narrowed his eyes in disbelief. "Tch, you're still grinning like an idiot... Guess that means you've got a plan, huh? Well, spit it out, midget. What's next?"
"Nope!" Kuro responded cheerfully, his smile widening.
Bakugo blinked, genuinely confused for a split second. "What...?" Then, a realization dawned on him. "Oh, I get it... You're stalling. Trying to buy time 'til your "Ki" comes back, huh? Like hell I'll let you! You think you can outlast me?!"
Without missing a beat, Bakugo launched another series of rapid, high-powered explosions at Kuro. Each blast sent waves of heat and concussive force crashing into the arena floor.
But Kuro, though drained of his "Ki", wasn't out yet.
With sheer grit and physical skill, Kuro dodged and weaved between Bakugo's relentless strikes. His body moved on pure instinct, every dodge and block perfectly timed, but he never attacked back. He knew what he was doing—he just needed to survive.
Bakugo's frustration started to build. The longer this dragged on, the more his stamina would drain, and he knew it. Kuro was playing the long game, trying to outlast him until his "Ki" returned. It was a smart tactic, Bakugo had to admit. But he wasn't about to let Kurokam pull it off.
"C'MON, FIGHT ME!" Bakugo roared, charging forward again, throwing explosive punches that Kuro narrowly avoided. "Stop wasting time, you damn coward!"
But Kuro remained calm, his breathing labored, his body aching from the strain, but his mind sharp. He just had to keep moving, keep dodging. One second at a time.
He could feel it—the faint flickers of his "Ki" slowly starting to return. Not enough to fight back yet, but it was coming. If he could just hold out a little longer...
Bakugo, sensing the shift, grew even more aggressive. He knew Kuro's "Ki" was returning, and he couldn't afford to let it reach full strength. "You're not getting away that easy, damn it!" Bakugo hissed as he closed in with another burst of speed, aiming a heavy kick at Kuro's side.
But just as the kick connected, Kuro used the momentum to roll backward, creating distance between them once more.
"You know it won't work forever," Bakugo snarled, clearly irritated that Kuro was still on his feet. "Stalling isn't gonna save you when I blow this whole place apart!"
Kuro's breathing was ragged now, but his smile hadn't faded. "You're probably right," he admitted, his voice light despite the exhaustion in his body. "But I'm not done yet."
Bakugo's eyes flared with anger. "Then stop dancing around and fight me!" With that, he unleashed a massive explosion, aiming to overwhelm Kuro completely. The force of the blast sent shockwaves through the stadium, kicking up dust and debris.
The crowd watched in awe as the smoke slowly cleared, revealing Kuro—his clothes torn, his body bruised—but still standing.
Bakugo grits his teeth, now genuinely furious. "Damn you!" He charged again, his hands crackling with explosive energy.
But as he approached, Kuro's eyes glinted with a renewed spark. His "Ki" had returned.
"I guess..." Kuro murmured, clenching his fists as the faint purple aura reignited around his body, "it's time to stop running, huh?"
Bakugo barely had time to react before Kuro launched forward, his speed now back to full force. The shift in momentum was immediate and undeniable. Kuro met Bakugo's next explosion head-on, using his "Ki" to amplify his movements and deflect the blast with a burst of energy.
Bakugo's eyes widened in surprise. "Tch...! You're back?!" He growled, already knowing what that meant.
Kuro nodded, his grin now full of playful confidence again. "Yup. And now it's your turn to keep up, Kacchan!" With that, Kuro darted forward, his "Ki"-enhanced speed allowing him to dodge Bakugo's attacks with ease.
Bakugo's expression twisted into a mixture of frustration and exhilaration. "Finally... About time you got serious!"
The battle had shifted into its final phase—both fighters pushing themselves to their absolute limits, neither willing to back down.
The audience watched in awe as the two titans clashed, the stadium shaking with every blow. Each time Bakugo unleashed an explosion, Kuro countered with precise, energy-infused strikes, matching Bakugo's ferocity with his own.
It was clear now—this fight wasn't about strategy or outlasting the other. It was about raw determination. Neither Bakugo nor Kuro were willing to give an inch. The stadium was their battlefield, and they were going to leave everything out there, no matter the cost.
As the final round raged on, the crowd held its breath, waiting to see who would emerge victorious in this battle of wills.
As the final battle raged on, Bakugo's mind whirled with thoughts as his body pushed itself to the limit. Kurokami's "Ki" quirk, the damn life energy that seemed limitless, had no predictable recovery time. Its regeneration was based on how happy Kuro was, and during a fight, nothing seemed to bring Kuro more joy than clashing with a worthy opponent. The more Bakugo fought him, the more Kuro grinned like an idiot. But something felt off—Kuro wasn't at full power, just barely holding on.
"You're still bluffing, huh?!" Bakugo yelled, frustration fueling his next move. He grabbed Kuro, launching them both into the air before delivering a vicious dropkick mid-flight. Kuro crashed to the ground but quickly flipped back up, dodging another of Bakugo's relentless explosions. Bakugo smirked. "I knew it. You're stalling for time!" He gritted his teeth, his resolve hardening as he realized what Kuro was doing—waiting for his "Ki" to fully recover.
"I'LL BE DAMNED IF I LET THAT HAPPEN!" Bakugo roared as he spun in mid-air, gradually increasing his speed. The motion created a whirlwind of fiery explosions around him, and the temperature of his palms began to skyrocket. He was preparing for something bigger—far bigger than anything he'd used before. His ultimate move: La Tsar Bomba.
This wasn't just a normal explosion; Bakugo had honed it for months, using motion and heat to build pressure like a volatile chemical reaction. The more he spun, the more the pressure built, and when it finally released, it would be as destructive as a bomb. The cost, however, was immense. He knew that if he pushed this technique to its true limit, he could burn his own hands beyond repair.
But Bakugo had never been one to hold back, not when it counted. "Risking everything for something stupid... that's what a real hero does!" he thought with a crazed grin as he pushed his quirk further than ever before.
In the stands, Present Mic's voice cracked with shock and excitement. "WHAT IN THE ACTUAL...?! FOLKS, WE'RE WATCHING A WALKING NUKE HERE! CAN A FIRST-YEAR STUDENT EVEN DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!"
Aizawa, usually calm and reserved, had a rare look of pride in his eyes. "He's grown... faster than I expected. Bakugo was always capable of more than raw power. He's taken that frustration and honed it into something far more dangerous. If he can control this, he'll surpass even my expectations." There was concern in his tone, though; Aizawa had seen the devastating potential of Bakugo's quirk and knew that in the worst case, he might have to step in.
All Might and Principal Nezu, watching from a distance, were equally shocked. Nezu, wearing shades to block out the blinding light from Bakugo's attack, muttered in awe, "Incredible... The potential for destruction here is unparalleled. Young Bakugo has truly pushed himself to a new level."
All Might nodded gravely. "But at what cost?"
Down in the arena, Kurokami watched Bakugo's whirlwind of heat and power with an almost serene expression. His own body was running on fumes, but his mind was laser-focused. "Resplendent," he whispered to himself, the excitement bubbling up again. Despite the situation, despite his exhaustion, Kuro was thrilled. There was something about Bakugo's pure drive, his refusal to back down, that lit a fire within him.
"I guess it's time," Kuro murmured, holding out his hand. A ball of "Ki" formed in his palm, starting as a small purple glow but quickly growing as Kuro focused what little energy he had left into it. The purple hue darkened as Kuro condensed his "Ki" into a single point. This wasn't just another blast—this was his final gambit.
"Let's see if you can survive this, Kacchan," Kuro muttered, his grin widening.
Bakugo, fully charged and ready to release his ultimate attack, shot down from the sky like a missile. "LA... TSAR BOMBA!!" he roared as his body spun toward Kuro at blinding speed, palms ready to unleash a cataclysmic explosion.
Kuro stood his ground, his eyes glowing with determination as he cocked his fist back. "INFINITY... BREAKER!" he yelled, and with a massive surge of "Ki," he punched forward, the air around his fist compressing into a focused shockwave of energy.
The two forces collided.
For a moment, there was only silence. The stadium seemed frozen in time as Bakugo's spinning explosion met Kuro's condensed "Ki" head-on. Then, without warning, the ground beneath them shattered. A whirlwind of heat and wind erupted from the impact, tearing through the stadium with unimaginable force. The cement walls erected by Cementoss crumbled and were rebuilt again and again, barely able to withstand the shockwaves.
The audience shielded their eyes, unable to comprehend the raw power on display. The sound of the impact was deafening, like a thunderclap that shook the entire arena.
As the dust settled and the heat began to dissipate, the crowd held their breath, waiting to see who remained standing.
The arena was scorched black. The ground was cracked and charred, and the air still sizzled with the residual heat from Bakugo's explosions. In the center of the devastation, Bakugo Katsuki stood upright, unmoving. His clothes were torn, his skin covered in burns, but he was still standing.
Across from him, Kurokami Tenshin lay motionless on the ground, his body battered and bruised. His once bright aura had faded completely.
Midnight, who had been hiding from the intense heat, cautiously stepped forward to assess the situation. "Alright, brat, let's see who's still conscious," she muttered, poking Bakugo with her hand. The moment she touched him, Bakugo's body wobbled... and then, slowly, he collapsed to the ground with a dull thud.
Midnight sighed, shaking her head. "Of course. You pushed yourself too far, kid." She glanced over at Kurokami, who was equally out cold.
After a brief moment of consideration, Midnight stood up and raised her hand. "THE RESULT IS... A TIE!!!"
The crowd erupted into applause, cheers echoing through the stadium. Both Bakugo and Kuro had pushed themselves beyond their limits, and though neither had been able to claim victory, they had both proven themselves to be forced to be reckoned with.
In the stands, All Might smiled, a mixture of pride and relief washing over him. "Well done... both of you."
Amid the thunderous applause following the announcement of the tie, a loud, angry voice rang out from the stands, cutting through the cheers.
"A TIE??? BULLSH*T!! THAT HUSSY WOULDN'T KNOW A WIN IF IT HIT HER!!" yelled Mitsuki Bakugo, her voice booming across the stadium. She was clearly furious, standing up with a face as red as her son's explosions. Katsuki's mother was known for her fiery temperament, and she was making no effort to hide it now.
Her husband, Masaru Bakugo, looked exasperated as he tried to calm her down. "Honey, it's a tie, and the ref said that," he muttered, though he knew well enough that reasoning wasn't going to work.
"AS IF! I SWEAR, I'LL JUMP DOWN THERE RIGHT NOW AND TELL THEM WHO REALLY WON!" Mitsuki continued, looking like she might actually do it.
Before things could escalate, a quieter voice chimed in, "Mitsuki, shouldn't you be happy? Katsuki looked like he had so much fun... but he does look hurt, and Izuku must be so sad seeing his friend like that." Inko Midoriya, sitting next to her friend Mitsuki, was more concerned about both boys' well-being than the outcome of the match.
Mitsuki, still fuming, crossed her arms. "Hmph! Fun or not, my Katsuki doesn't tie!" she grumbled, though Inko's words had softened her slightly. The thought of her son enjoying himself, despite everything, did help a little.
Another soft voice joined the conversation. "I believe there's still a tie-breaker," Rei Todoroki said quietly. She sat nearby, having recently reconnected with her son Shoto and attending the festival to support him. She brushed a few strands of white hair from her face, smiling faintly.
Masaru sighed, feeling a wave of relief wash over him. He had been sitting awkwardly with Mitsuki's loud 'friend group' for most of the event and wasn't sure how much longer he could last. "I'm just glad Katsuki's learned to cool down a little..." he muttered, prompting a raised eyebrow from his wife.
"Yeah, well, don't get too happy. The match still makes me mad," Mitsuki replied, though there was a hint of pride in her voice now.
Meanwhile, Class 1-A had mixed reactions to the announcement of the tie. They had gathered in the waiting area, watching the fight unfold on the big screen.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Eijiro Kirishima cried dramatically, collapsing to his knees in mock despair. "Are we truly doomed to suffer from him?"
Tsuyu Asui, sitting nearby, sighed deeply, her froggy voice adding to the somber atmosphere. "His reign is clear... ruling with an iron fist, kero."
Ochaco Uraraka, head buried in her hands, sulked. "Even the destined hero couldn't win..."
It was a scene of exaggerated mourning, all directed at the outcome of the match and the inevitable continuation of Bakugo's 'tyranny' over Class 1-A.
A very confused Izuku Midoriya walked into the room, blinking in surprise at the over-the-top reactions of his classmates. "What's happening? Why are you all so sad? We were both super excited watching the fight!" he asked, bewildered.
The room fell silent for a moment before Tenya Iida, wearing a somber expression, put a hand on Izuku's shoulder, shaking his head as if he were delivering grave news. "Midoriya... Bakugo has ruled the class, besting everyone. We can't dethrone him. It's been tried, and you were our last hope," Iida said, his tone filled with melancholy.
Izuku blinked in shock, still not entirely understanding what was going on. "I... uh... was your last hope?"
Shoji, leaning against a pillar in the back of the room, beckoned for Izuku to come over. "Midoriya, I think you're missing the point." His deep voice was calm as always, as he began to explain. "Every Friday, while you head home to train, the rest of us have a cookout. It started small, but... well, Bakugo and Kurokami's cooking is legendary, and it's turned into a bit of a weekly tradition." Shoji paused. "Bakugo uses it as a way to declare his superiority."
Izuku tilted his head. "Cooking?"
Shoji nodded. "It's gotten pretty bad. The class is... addicted." Even though he said it calmly, it was clear that Shoji, too, was a victim of Bakugo's culinary reign.
Izuku, finally understanding, gave a deep sigh of relief. "Why was that so hard to say?"
Shoji shrugged. "Because you're... well, you. A noble, innocent hero who we think of as a great friend," he said with a knowing smile behind his mask.
Behind Izuku, Momo Yaoyorozu and Kyoka Jirou were holding up a large hand-painted sign that read: "Because you're a noble innocent hero who we think of as a great friend."
Shoji sighed at the lengths they went to, all to maintain Izuku's innocence. It was admirable, in its way, though exhausting.
Izuku, clueless as ever, turned back to Shoji with a grateful smile. "Thanks for the insight, Shoji!" he said before turning to walk away.
Before he could fully leave, Todoroki, who had been watching in the background, discreetly flicked his fingers, summoning a small flame that burned the sign before Izuku could see it. "There was nothing behind you, Midoriya," Todoroki said in his usual stiff tone, trying to preserve the delicate balance of their class
"Uhh... okay?" Izuku blinked, accepting the explanation without question, while Momo facepalmed next to Todoroki, giving him a long, exasperated look.
As Izuku walked away, completely unaware of the chaos surrounding him, the class sighed in unison.
