Chapter 6: A Good Family

Azuraelle's eyes blazed with fury as she glared at the three women who dared to do what they had done to her man.

Her fists crackled with vibrant blue energy as the ground beneath her splintered.

In an instant, she shot towards the ceiling, then rocketed down at a ridiculous speed, aiming a blow at the blue-haired woman.

"BITCHES! YOU DARE!?"

But, despite Azuraelle's speed, the blue-haired woman proved to be faster. She gracefully tilted her head, narrowly dodging the incoming punch.

—BOOM.

The floor beneath Azuraelle's fist cracked with a resounding crash, mere inches from the table where the three women sat, unmoved by the display.

—All this happened in just seven seconds [With the dialogue.]

Quickly straightening herself, Azuraelle's eyes flickered with raw rage.

Her body pulsed with the same blue energy as her rationality was thrown out the window.

"BITCHES!" She snarled.

But before she could act—

"Remember who you're dealing with, niece." A cold voice hissed from behind. In a flash, Azuraelle was pinned to the ground, her head held down by a powerful hand.

"Ugh! Fuck you, redhead bitch!" She spat, squirming under the grip of the red-haired woman who held her with an irritated look.

"You need to calm down at the very least so we could explain ourselves."

The black-haired woman, with one leg crossed seductively over the other, tried to reason with the now irrational woman.

"CALM DOWN?" Azuraelle snarled again, though her tone was not only angry now, but also mocking.

"You TRICKED me! You obviously did something with these 'boons'! Your real goal wasn't just to empower him!"

"It was to make him yours! You want to make him your blood!"

"You want him! Fuck yo— Mmph!!!"

Azuraelle's eyes glowed with fury, but her next words were muffled as the redhead covered her mouth.

The blue-haired woman let out a heavy sigh, her shoulders drooping under the weight of her emotions, as her beautiful face clouded with sadness.

The redhead, despite keeping her grip on Azuraelle, glanced at the woman with the largest horns she had ever seen

Concern flickered in her eyes, though she didn't voice it.

The black-haired woman, on the other hand, showed her worry openly.

"Tiamat…" She said softly, placing a gentle hand on the blue-haired woman's shoulder.

Badum. Badum.

The sound of her heart racing was loud for the girls to hear.

Tiamat's heart raced, her lips trembling as she bit down to stifle the pained sound threatening to escape.

Even if the sound of her heart weren't loud, the women present could feel Tiamat's overwhelming melancholy, sadness, and sorrow.

Even Azuraelle, who is actually her daughter, could feel it, and she felt it more than the two other women.

Just by feeling her mother's emotions, Azuraelle knew immediately that her mother didn't mean anything ill.

Tiamat only showed her maternal and loving side to her family, so of course all the three understood what was happening with the Mother Goddess of Earth and Dragon race.

Tiamat cared for her family deeply, and so did her sisters and her daughter.

Their family was a big happy one with a powerful bond that far surpassed any level.

Indeed. They're one true family...of women.

Proof?

Sob, sob

Her tears, thick and crystalline, began to fall, sparkling as they hit the floor.

The women in the room froze, regret flooding them as they watched the oldest and most powerful goddess in existence, Tiamat, break.

At this moment, Azuraelle felt her anger falter, the bond between them too strong to ignore.

The overwhelming melancholy radiating from Tiamat touched them all.

"...Sorry, daughter... I- I never meant to upset you..." Tiamat's voice, motherly, warm, and loving, was now shaking as she was trembling and holding back her tears.

She is really sensitive about her family.

Now, Azuraelle really wanted to comfort the woman before her, the woman who always took care of her, whom always was looking after her, and she still did even now.

Azuraelle didn't think about the 'right' words to say as she just wanted to comfort her mother now.

Azuraelle's anger wavered even further as she looked at her mother, her voice softer. "…I- Mother, I didn't mean…"

"It's okay," Tiamat interrupted, her voice shaky but resolute. "I understand."

Badum, badum

Despite her still racing heart, the Goddess managed to compose herself and relax quite easily.

Tiamat squared her shoulders, her expression suddenly becoming serious.

"We tricked you." She said, her voice steady now. "You have every right to be angry. We deceived you, however unintentionally, and I can't ignore that."

If this occurrence wasn't so usual in the supernatural world, it'd have been viewed as a weird and strange attitude.

One moment she was very sensitive and crying.

Now she was looking at her daughter resolutely and with a serene expression.

"You, as a prideful dragon — as my daughter, a greater dragon goddess, have every right to be mad and angry."

"We deceived you, even if it wasn't intentional or ill, we still indeliberately took advantage of you, and that is a big no for me as the Matriarch of our family."

As Tiamat spoke with such conviction, her two sisters couldn't help but smile with satisfaction and warmth.

'Ah. Tia has always been the best.' Thought the black-haired woman as she leaned back against her dark and opulent chair that looked more like a throne than a simple chair.

Both the red-haired and black-haired women were very fond of their family bonds, especially when they are dragons and could feel each other's thoughts and emotions because they are STRONGLY related by blood.

It isn't like the other two weren't like or couldn't be like their older sister, in fact they are exactly like her, but she was more open and unapologetic when matters like this one are brought up.

Looking at her mother with a blank expression, Azuraelle's beautiful blue eyebrows slightly knitted.

She really wanted to be very angry right now, and her rage hasn't diminished yet, but only wavered a little because of her bond with her family.

Sighing, Azuraelle rose to her feet as the red-haired woman who had her pinned let go of her.

Dusting herself off, she closed her eyes, and her voice was low and filled with frustration as she spoke:

"I'm not forgiving you that easily. But I'll let it go for now… because you've 'watched' over him like I have since that day."

—What she meant by 'watched' is stalking the man...

She turned away from them, her very long hair fluttering behind her as she moved to the unconscious man lying on the ground.

She stared at him with a soft, loving smile, before she crouches down to scoop him carefully and gently into her arms then walked to the exit of this room.

The three women just watched her back in silence.

Though they wore troubled looks, and really wanted to stop her just to somehow solve this immediately, they didn't pressure their precious daughter/niece as they watched her exit with the unconscious man in her arms.
