“That is an interesting question, mother and one that I am sure we will have the opportunity to discuss later this evening,” Dylan said, as he changed the subject.

“Zoe, I heard what you did for my son with his business. We do not know how to thank you” Darla said.

“I love your son Mr. and Mrs. Ross. I promise that as soon as we are able, we will get him back into his position” Zoe said, holding Dylan’s hand.

“What will happen to your role?” Zoe’s dad asked Zoe.

Zoe shrugged her shoulders slightly. She hadn’t thought about what would happen once Dylan returned as CEO. Her entire focus had been on helping him through this rough patch, and she never stopped to think about whether she would return as secretarial manager, or be tasked with some other role.

“I was hoping that Zoe would work alongside me as CEO,” Dylan said, turning towards her for an answer.
