Zoe hadn't seen or heard from Kyle again after Dylan told him they were to be married.

She also hadn't heard anything more from Dylan about this supposed proposal.

As soon as Kyle had left that day, it was like they both vowed to never discuss it. He didn’t bring it up, and she didn’t ask. They didn’t discuss it; they just went about their life as if it never happened.

They both had not heard from Kyle again.

She only hoped it would stay that way forever.

Although Zoe would normally bring up specific conversations she wanted to have with Dylan, she knew this was one conversation he had to bring up on his own. If he wanted to marry her, he would have to be the one to tell her. Too much time had passed now for her to bring it up regardless. Bringing up the topic weeks later would only be awkward and out of place for both her and Dylan. But that didn’t mean she hadn't been thinking about it the entire time, because she had.
