Capítulo 8: The Truth Of The Agreement

Mathilda's POV:

I had not wrapped my head around moving from where I grew up to the place I hated the most. I heard it was snow-covered and cold in winter at the Valet Pack. Yet, I agreed to Alpha Barron's proposal, which took me a while before realizing what I had agreed to.

I had no choice but to walk with him. I did not believe that he had any good intentions for this proposal. Perhaps it was to spy on the terrain of our pack.

I could feel his eyes on me all the time. I couldn't concentrate. Even weirder was how I somehow felt that he was touching me. Damn it! What was going on in my head?

We looked at each other. The dizziness returned. It was a mistake to agree to go out alone with him. But I couldn't stay with my father. I didn't want to fight with him. He had too many things to deal with. I didn't want to stab him in his shaky heart.
