The sounds of bullets could be heard, Jacob turned towards the direction of the sounds and the last thing he saw was some of the school guards shooting at the vampire who was currently running away.

Sunlight streams through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. Jacob slowly opened his eyes, blinking against the light.
"What... What happened?"Jacob whispered.
"Hey, you're awake! You passed out after fighting the vampire. You scared the hell out of all of us," Ada
Jacob tried to sit up but winced, clutching his head.
"Ugh, my head feels like it's splitting open."
Adam moved closer, his expression filled with empathy.
"You're hurt badly, buddy. Mrs. The security rushed you to the nurse, she took a look at you and said it was probably just exhaustion."
Jason rubs his temples, trying to recall the events leading up to his unconsciousness.
Did they manage to apprehend him?" Jacob inquired with a sense of urgency.
"Who are you referring to?" came the puzzled response from Adam.
"The vampire. Were the guards successful in capturing him?" Jacob pressed on, his curiosity getting the better of him.
"No, unfortunately, their efforts proved futile. The vampire proved to be exceptionally swift and evaded them," Adam lamented, his voice filled with a hint of disappointment. "But I can't help but wonder, Jacob, how is it that you don't have a single mark on your body? It's as if the incident never took place."
Jacob, realizing that his remarkable ability to regenerate and his immunity to toxins were responsible for his unscathed appearance, swiftly changed the subject. "I'm not entirely sure. By the way, where is Ray? I haven't seen him."
"I'm not sure, I haven't seen him since la..." Adam's sentence was interrupted as Ray walked into the room, coincidentally at that moment.
"Speak of the devil," Adam lamented with a tinge of frustration.
"Hey, Adam! That was harsh," Ray responded, acknowledging the tension in the room. "How are you doing, Jacob? I heard what happened."
"And where the hell were you last night? This is partly your fault," Adam retorted, his voice filled with accusation.
"Wait! What? How is any of this my fault?" Ray's voice rose in defense, triggering a heated argument between the two of them.
"If you had been in the room last night, maybe, just maybe, all this wouldn't have happened," Adam persisted, blaming Ray for the unfortunate incident.
"Oh, I see how you want to do this. And where were you?" Ray countered, his tone filled with skepticism.
"I went out to look for you," Adam responded, trying to justify his actions.
"That doesn't seem true because I returned to the room an hour after I left and you were nowhere to be found. And of all nights, you chose the one Jacob was attacked to search for me," Ray accused, intensifying the tension in the room.
"You know what I think? I think you are the vampire. You exhibit all the attributes: you barely eat, you're always fixated on people's skin, and what's your ability? Vision! Bro, I'm convinced you're the vampire," Ray exclaimed, his suspicions boiling over.
"Everyone, calm down. We don't need to fight over me," Jacob interjected, attempting to defuse the escalating situation.
"No, Jacob! This isn't about you, so stay out of it," Adam shot back. "You think I'm the vampire just because of my ability? Well, let me ask you something. If I were a vampire, as you claim, how is it that I can walk in daylight?"
"I don't know how you do it, and I can't afford to care," Ray retorted.
Just then, a loud knocking was heard on the door causing them to stop their conversation and Ray rushed to answer the door.
As Ray opened the door, he saw a huge muscular Sergeant standing at the door.
-"Is everything ok here?" the Sergeant asked.
"Yes, sir everything is ok," before Ray could complete his response, the Sergeant pushed him to the side and walked into the room.
"Hope you are feeling better Jacob?" the Sergeant asked Jacob.
Jacob recognizing the Sergeant's face quickly replied. "Yes, I'm doing better Sergeant Lucas."
"It is great to meet with you again, the 'Brotherhood of Scholars,' summons your present urgently." Sergeant Lucas added. "I will wait for you outside get ready fast so we can leave," The sergeant said as he went outside to wait.
Jacob immediately rushed to the bathroom to prepare. His mind was busy racing thinking about what the Brotherhood of Scholars might want with him.
He had heard a lot about them, they are the ones who control the school and they are said to be ruthless.
Thirty minutes later he was done getting ready and he followed the Sergeant to the room where he had been summoned.
As they got in front of s big door, the sergeant wished Jacob luck and told him to go in the room alone.
As he walked into the room, was adorned with an air of wisdom and authority, as six elderly leaders of the esteemed school sat upon their ornate seats, positioned in a semi-circle at the head of the room.
The chamber exuded an ambiance of significance, with walls adorned with ancient tapestries, depicting the school's rich history and achievements.
Each leader possessed a countenance weathered by years of experience and knowledge. Their eyes, sharp and observant, hinted at the depths of their intellect. Clad in flowing robes that carried the emblems of their esteemed positions, they commanded respect and reverence.
A mix of apprehension and curiosity etched across Jacob's face, as he stepped inside. The elders regarded him with a collective gaze that bore the weight of countless decisions made and lives shaped.
His footsteps echoed against the polished marble floor as he cautiously approached the center of the room, where a solitary chair awaited him.
"Seat Young man," one of the elders instructed him.
He took a seat, his heart pounding in anticipation of the impending inquiry.
