{Hey, Author here! I was brainstorming ways to continue the fanfic in this volume but ultimately decided it'd work better as a separate fanfic. Just a heads-up: Volume 2 won't have anything related to DxD except maybe the start and end of the fic... maybe.
For now, I'll be focusing on finishing the next chapter of my other fanfic before diving into the actual chapters for this new volume.
Alright, enough from me, let's jump into the teaser!}

People screamed as two beings shrouded in evil clashed violently in the heart of a ruined town.
On one side stood a towering figure, monstrous and grotesque, resembling a human only in shape. It had four arms, four glowing eyes, and an additional gaping mouth on its stomach. The being wielded a trishula-like trident, The Hiten.
Opposing it was a figure of similar height but far more human like. The onlookers frozen in fear, could barely make out his features apart long black hair that waved wildly as he moved and the deep purple kimono that billowed around him in the wind.
"I-it's him!" a child cried, hope flickering in their voice.
The murmurs spread like wildfire among the trembling crowd.
"I can't believe he's here!" a woman clutching her baby whispered in disbelief, her voice carrying just enough for others to hear.
An older man's trembling voice rose above the rest, his words filled with awe and desperation. "It's him! The Strongest of the East!"

"In history, who was considered the strongest?"
Masamichi Yaga asked as he lazily flipped through a dull book, his tone as monotone as ever.
'Obviously, it's me.' The thought buzzed in my head, and I was just about to declare it when Geto's smug face stole the moment.
"Ryomen Sukuna." he answered with that infuriating calm of his.
I stuck my tongue out at him like a child, earning an exasperated roll of his eyes.
"Correct." Yaga continued, unbothered by our antics. "The King of Curses was the strongest... until he was sealed away. Now, who can tell me how he—"
"What about The Conqueror of the East?" I interrupted, leaning forward with a grin.
A heavy book flew through the air, heading straight for my face. I deflected it with ease.
"That's a forbidden part of history, Gojo." Yaga snapped, his glare sharp. "Now, back to Sukuna. How was he sealed?"
I slouched in my chair with a sigh, tuning him out. 'Whatever. I'd still beat them all.'

"Where the fuck am I?!"
A black haired young man shouted into the dense forest surrounding him. His voice was hoarse with frustration, his body trembling with rage.
He clenched his fists and glared up at the treetops as if cursing the sky itself.
"I'll fucking kill you, Loki! Mark my words, I'll be back!"
And with that, he collapsed onto the forest floor, unconscious.
