I walked inside the house and I saw mom watching television in the living room. Honey probably in school right now accompanied by grandma. “Hey mom!” I leaned over and kiss her on the cheek and sit beside her.

“Yoo- mi? Aren’t you supposed to be working right now?” she asked.

“Mom, I just quit from my job.”

“What?”

“I’m so sorry, I’ll just get another job or I’ll ask Josh to hire me in his company. He has been asking me to work with him and I think this is the right time.” I said as I walked to the kitchen to grab something to drink.

“Wait, wait! I don’t understand. Why did you quit in the first place? I thought you love your work with Mr. Yoon?” mom said as she followed me.

I poured an orange juice in the glass and drink before I speak. “Mr. Yoon has been in the hospital for 3 days now. And he assigned someone to take over the company.” I paused. “I didn’t expect it to be Jeonghan, he was Mr Yoon’s son.”

“Oh…” That was all she said. When I turn on her, she’s smiling.
