"You're good at art and music but you are a little bit behind in English and Mathematics."
Halora looked closely into the test papers. It was not impossible to happen as he is still a student who needs to learn.
"Yes! I... just hate numbers but don't you underestimate me...," he told her and jumped off to the bed.
"Come here! My scores don't even matter and you know what, we won't have to be the most intelligent student!" He replied and looked at her back.
Sebastian never dreamed big as he stayed in Milanosa Academy for almost a year. He wanted to live an ordinary life and yearned to change his faith.
"I can help you with your scores," she murmured and put the papers inside of her bag. "I'll be your tutor and...," she paused for a moment.
"It would be great if you could help me so!" He looked deeply into her eyes while smiling. He didn't know that Halora is a talented, intelligent young girl.
She shrugged off her shoulder and pulled the chair on the corner. She then seated on it and tied her hair. "Hurry up! You have to learn the basic first, Mr. Bad boy!"
Naturally, her genuine personality shone depending on how people treat her. Sebastian quickly cleansed the small cut and put a little amount of hydrogen peroxide.
"Does it hurt?"
"Not really, but I can't believe what happened earlier in the washroom."
She then stared at him. Halora gulped and remembered the woman's face. She was covered with black, her nose was different and her red eyes almost hypnotized him.
"Did she said something about her intentions? She must be searching for a vital truth,"
Gently, he put the small bandage on her forehead and thought of the hideous witch he saw. "I've seen her earlier and you are right..., she's a black witch who possessed powers."
Halora listened to him as the cold breeze blew up. The curtains moved as the papers drifted away and scattered into the floor.
"Sorry for that, I always forgot to close the windows every time I go to school." He stood up to close the windows. He gave her a quick smile as he picked up the papers.
"Let me help you,"
Despite the fear she felt, she bent low and helped him in picking all the papers. "Why don't you clean your room? It is too messy and... and your things most are organized in a...,"
Sebastian didn't look around until he saw Hemione laid down on the floor. She was reaching for a piece of paper that drifted by the air under the bed.
"Seb, can you lend to me the broom? I need to get something!"
"Leave it!"
But she insisted to reach the piece of paper until she saw a ring that glowed in the dark. She then quickly stretched her arms and took the ring.
She stood and said, "Here, I found it under your bed." She put the ring on the table and compiled all of the papers.
But, as he was about to touch the ring, someone knocked on the door. "Young Master, here's your order."
Halora quickly stopped at the moment and seated on the chair. She then acted to be a good girl while he opened the door to receive it.
"One more thing, they are here with your Grandpa." The housemaid told him calmly that brought fear and worry.
Sebastian must leave the mansion without them seeing her. He nodded and said, "Keep silent, she will be safe in my room."
The housemaid bow and gave him a short smile. Before leaving, she looked at his eyes and whispered, "Don't let your mother meet her, Young Master. Both of them are mortals, and your mother knows what is best for her son."
Seb tried to explain but he heard his mother's voice. He then quickly nodded and closed the door.
"Let's eat first and we will go back to the school." He murmured.
It was quarter to noon. Sebastian put the tray on the table and peeked at her. "We have still classes to attend to."
Halora silently took the spoon and breadknife. She ate with him that afternoon without knowing that she found the mysterious ring of a powerful creature.
It was embroidered with a glowing ruby and was made up of pure gold. It would fit perfectly to her finger yet, she never thought of wearing the ring.
But, as they were about to leave the mansion. She noticed that the ring has gone on the table. She looked through his room to find it but she failed.
Halora took her bag and walked closer to him. "Did you saw the ring by any chance?" Sebastian was fixing his uniform when she asked.
He then nodded, "Yes, but I didn't touch it."
Her pulse curtailed for a moment upon seeing the ring floating in the air. It was glowing like a beautiful sun that smolders the entire room.
Sebastian took a step backward and watched it with her. He was astounded as he mumbled, "It's coming towards you!"
The ring seemed to be powerful as it moved closer to her. Halora run and avoided it but she ended up leaning to the wall.
She then breathed heavily. "Catch it! I... I don't want to wear that ring!"
Sebastian courageously walked silently to her. He then quickly grabbed the ring but he felt a burning sensation that made him threw it away.
"Aww, my hand!" He wiggled his hand to ease the pain she felt. The ring almost burns his palm. Sebastian and Halora sighed heavily, gawked at the glowing ring.
They don't know what was happening but the ring seemed to be owned by her. But she has never been into jewelry.
Her life was too poor and unfortunate. She could never afford to buy such an expensive ring.
Sebastian runs to protect her from the danger brought by the mysterious ring. But it was too powerful than anyone else.
"It's mani... manipulating my hand! Se–Seb," she clamored and fought against it.
Until a flash of lightning came. Halora suddenly closed her eyes and felt a warm thing on her finger.
She then sighed deeply and realized that she was wearing the ring. "Seb, look at my hand! The ri... ring!"
Sebastian gasped, then stared at her finger for too long.
Who is the owner of the mysterious, magical ring? What will Halora do as she wore the ring?
Would it help her to protect anyone around her or it will only lead Halora to danger?
