Capítulo 48: Chapter 48 Grammi
Brandish the S class wizard of Alvarez was hellbent on killing Lucy for the death of her mother who she thinks is done Layla Heartfilia for the Aquarius celestial golden key. But the fact of the matter was she was murdered by Zoldeo who blames her for causing the weakening of Layla which would lead to Layla's death.
But right now, Karna has other plans even though there is no quest for saving Grammi from being murdered by Zoldeo, Karna felt like it should be something he should prevent. But he also did not want to kill Zoldeo as in the Tenrou island arc he will play a great role in making sure that Lucy gets the Capricorn Key.
Karna waited for the perfect moment while pulling the string and just as Zoldeo was about to strike

Karna had used a normal arrow with wind elemental core for speed, it went straight through Zoldeo's hand, making him drop the knife and scream.
Grammi turned around shocked by the sound and saw a wounded Zoldeo with a knife. She realised instantly what was about to happen.
"Zoldeo...why" with a shocked expression Grammi
"Its…. its...ITS BECAUSE OF YOU SHE IS DYING" Zoldeo managed to shout out what he wanted to say while biting through the pain and then he looked at the direction from which the arrow came and started to run at another direction
"Are you going to let him go" Cana asked Karna seeing that he de materialized his bow
"I got a feeling we will meet again, now let's go and see that lady"
Karna and Cana helped the Grammi get up and Grammi knowing that they saved her thanked them by bowing her head many times. Then finding out that Karna and Cana are going to Heartfilia mansion she told them about the way to go and she left. But before she left she made sure to remember both of their names.
After she left Karna thought 'she might mention us to Brandish and that might help us in the future. But without the drive for revenge and Brandish having her mother will decrease her chances of meeting August and learning magic from him, but whatever he will face whatever comes along in the future'
Cana and Karna started walking towards the mansion and as they were walking Karna felt like checking out his achievements. Earlier Karna had shut down the notifications for it since he felt like looking into them later

Expelliarmus-wandless- strikes out the weapon or any item on the hands of the enemy can be deflected if the object has magic that makes sure it is attached to the user
Alohamora- wandless- opens any lock that does not use magic easily but if the lock is made out magic it requires the user to use more than three times the amount of magic used in creating the lock]
Karna looked through the spells used
'Hmm stupefy will be useful in dealing with many different situations especially when I have to deal with civilians when they do something idiotic during missions and the wizards law is strict when it comes to the matter of harm done due to magic
Since I lost my armour Protrego seems like a possible substitute and since the armour is spherical I may be able to protect one or two other people as well
Expelliarmus for sure makes me an enemy for all people who uses weapons I guess since there are only a few weapons with enchantments to make sure that it does not get unequipped and Alohamora will be useful for infiltration'
Karna began to calculate the ways in which he will use these different types of spells and these unlike the talismans does not seem like it can be taught to someone else so he will hav eto use them by himself.
As he was walking Cana began to ask him
"hey Karna you didn't tell me why we are going to meet this Layla Heartfilia" Cana questioned a bit confused
This broke Karna out of his thinking and he answered
"well I heard some rumours that Layla Heartfilia was deathly ill due to using some dangerous magic and all the doctors her husband had called from across Fiore has not able to cure her"
"really none of them" Cana was astonished she knew about the Heartfilia families power and that it is easy for them to hire people who can teleport through large distances so it will be easy for them to hire the greatest doctors ever with the amount of money they have.
"are you planning on using the talisman to cure her disease" Cana asked
"yes I am" Karna replied and resumed walking while holding her hand
Cana was happy that he was proactive and hugged his arm as well
As they were walking and because of the Heartfilia estate being spanned across a long distance, even towards the mountains the time taken was too long and they were not in a rush.
And as he was walking with Cana, Karna began to think about the words Jason had said when they had met
' man I hope that he does not kill that new kid' thought Karna while giving a silent prayer to the other warrior of the new god
