Capítulo 11: rose

( Skip the chapter if you feel bored )

Rose Potter woke with a start, the soft, golden light of dawn casting a warm glow over her room. The date was July 31st, and today was her eleventh birthday. Yet, as she lay in her plush bed surrounded by opulent decorations, she couldn't shake the feeling that this was all a strange dream—a surreal escape from the nightmare of her future.

In her dream, or so she hoped it was, the world was still intact, filled with the warmth and cheer of an ordinary birthday. She had regressed to this point in her life for reasons she didn't fully understand. Was it a gift? A curse? She wasn't sure. All she knew was that she was here, surrounded by the trappings of a life she had left behind.

Rising from her bed, she dressed quickly in a simple robe. She headed down the hallway, her mind racing with questions about how this regression had come about. Had she been granted a second chance? Was it a spell gone wrong? Or was it merely an elaborate dream? None of it mattered, not when the stakes were so high.

Entering the kitchen, Rose was greeted by an unsettling scene. Her father, James Potter, was absent. He had spent the night away, and the kitchen still bore the traces of a night gone by—empty coffee cups and a half-eaten breakfast. Rose knew that James had been with another woman, a witch with whom he had a clandestine affair. It wasn't unusual in this world for men of status to indulge in such practices, though it was a bitter pill for Lily to swallow.

Lily Potter sat at the breakfast table, her gaze fixed on a stack of papers. Despite her outward grace and beauty, Lily's demeanor was cold, almost detached. Rose could sense the simmering anger in her mother's eyes, a silent resentment that was common in their world. Multiple wives and concubines were accepted norms among the elite, but it still stung. Lily's anger wasn't just about James's infidelities; it was about the indifference and emotional distance that came with it.

"Morning, Mum," Rose said, her voice soft but tinged with a quiet resolve.

Lily's response was a distracted nod, her gaze never leaving the papers. "Happy birthday, Rose."

Rose felt a pang of frustration but masked it with a forced smile. In past She had hoped for a different kind of recognition, a warmth that was absent from her family dynamics, but after living her life she doesn't need it anymore. The presents and material wealth didn't change the fact that her family felt emotionally distant.

William, her older brother, soon appeared in the kitchen. He was impeccably dressed, his air of superiority unmistakable. The Boy Who Lived was celebrated as a hero, but the weight of his fame had only inflated his ego. He barely glanced at Rose as he casually picked up a magical text and began perusing it.

"Morning," he muttered absently. "Got some spells to practice today. Trying to perfect the Patronus Charm."

Rose observed him with a mix of irritation and indifference. William's obsession with his own glory and magical prowess was a glaring contrast to the severity of the situation she had lived through in her future. His arrogance was a bitter reminder of the world she was determined to change.

She had seen the future. William's fate had been sealed in that dark time. He had died at the hands of Voldemort, the Dark Lord's wrath ensuring that he never saw the end of the struggle. James, too, had met a grim end. He was killed by Death Eaters . And Lily? She had gone missing, noone knew where she was, is she even dead or alive.

Ignoring the awkwardness, Rose turned her attention to the pile of birthday presents on a nearby table. She unwrapped each gift with a detached curiosity, her mind already elsewhere. A new broomstick, spell books, and a sparkling pendant were laid out before her. Each gift was an exquisite token of her family's wealth, but none of it seemed to matter much in the grand scheme of things.

Finally, she came across a folded newspaper, its front page bearing the headline: Has the peace reached its limit: 6 wizards bodies were found in knotchen alley today . She knew peace really have reached its limit. According to her information the muggle politicians were preparing for experiment.

As she read, the weight of her mission pressed down upon her. She had to stop the world from falling into the abyss she had seen.

Rose clutched the newspaper tightly, feeling its weight and significance. This tangible piece of evidence connected her to the reality she was desperate to alter. She was determined to use her knowledge of the future to prevent the disasters that had marred her past.

As she made her way out of the kitchen, her resolve solidified. The future was a looming shadow, but for now, she was here, in this twisted reflection of her past life. Her family's indifference and personal flaws were a backdrop to her true mission—to prevent the apocalypse she had witnessed and to ensure that the world was saved from the nightmare that awaited it.

She knew that this strange regression was her opportunity, a chance to fight against the dark forces and restore hope. She had to remain focused, even if her family's failures and the normalcy of her current life felt like a jarring contrast to the grim reality she remembered.

Rose Potter, on her eleventh birthday, faced the duality of her existence: a world filled with the illusion of normalcy and the ever-present reality of a future in ruins. She would navigate this delicate balance, driven by a relentless determination to alter the course of history and protect a world on the brink of destruction.
