Capítulo 23: It Was As If Storms Were Brewing In His Eyes

At first, Nidia wanted to mail this dress back to the Cunningham mansion. However, for the sake of her child, she felt she needed to contact Jackson.

She was helpless. Jackson had his fingers wrapped around her.

The dial tone continued for a few seconds until the other side picked up. Nidia calmed herself and started to speak. "I had the dress washed, I..." Before she could finish her sentence, Jackson's deep voice interrupted her mid-sentence. "Where are you?"

Nidia froze. She turned around to look for road signs and the hotel. She then gave him an address.

Jackson's voice sounded gentler and warmer than usual, his usual cold tone absent.

He said, "Stay where you are. I'll pick you up now."

Nidia waited till a black Rolls Royce Ghost slowly drove towards her.

Under the scorching sun, Nidia waited under a street light with the airtight bag held tightly in her arms.
