Nidia looked down as she murmured, "I can't accept the fact someone has to be sacrificed for my marriage..."
Both of them fell into pin drop silence after her words.
"And?" Jackson asked before getting up from his seat and approached her.
As he walked towards her, the frown on his face grew deeper with every step he took.
As soon as he was right behind her, he quickly turned her chair around. Then, he lowered his head and rested his hands on the armrests of her chair, conveniently chaining Nidia between his arms.
Gazing at her, he asked in a low voice, "Are we cancelling the engagement? Are we not getting married?"
When Nidia lifted her head to look at him, the anger in his eyes was evident.
She could barely breathe as his breath fanned on her.
