Mia didn't understand a thing Sheila was trying to point out, but she nodded. She felt her heart ache from pain, and her body felt heavier as if she couldn't stand on her legs.

Her head felt like there were people beating drums in it. When her phone rang, Mia only stared at it without picking up. She didn't want to say a word or anything. The phone rang again, and this time she heard Sheila's voice, but she could barely register whatever she was saying. With each passing second, her eyelids felt heavier until she fell, and everything went dark.
