"You tell me," Nina tried to keep her demeanor as casual as possible. This was after so many years a good-looking man had approached her, "What brought YOU here, Andrew."

"Nothing," suddenly there was a bitter smile on his face, "I am here to wrap up my business. Most of it is either sold or transferred," His gaze was fixed on some unseen spot on the table.

Nina felt strange at the sudden shift in the air. He had gotten more serious, his initial playful smile was gone. 

"Is everything alright?" Nina asked in concern. Now she could see sadness in those eyes.

"Yeah. Just consider yourself lucky to bring a daughter-in-law to the club. It means you love your son. I lost everything a few years ago. After that, there wasn't much left for me in Kanderton. That's when I decided to move away from this place."

"What happened to Kanderton?" she knew she had overstepped so she quickly shook her head, "I'm sorry, don't answer that."
