Alejandro's Jeep and Alonso's Audi were on their way to the police station when Alonso received a call saying his father had been found. On one hand, it eased their minds about the president's fate, but on the other hand, they were now more nervous to be reunited with him.
"Will this road ever end? Every single traffic light has been red!"
Alonso rubbed his nose and then his face before getting his hand back on the steering wheel. Natalie had seen him at his most vulnerable when he cried in her lap that day at the hotel, but this was by far the most nervous he had ever been.
With her hand resting on his shoulder, she comfortingly moved her thumb up and down, "We're almost there."
"Why would he do that? Go out alone without a phone, car, or any ID? Samuel said he was right outside the police station when they found him. Did he take a taxi? Walk there? What's going on in his mind?"
